We joined my cousin and her spouse for lunch at Backyard BBQ this past weekend. I ordered a Big Boy platter with Tri tip, chicken, and ribs with sides of Mac n cheese and baked beans. It also came with a side of potato salad and roll with sauce for dipping. The potato salad was just the right balance of potato, Mayo, and other goodness. I think I detected bacon bits!! The beans were very tender and sweet with a hint of savory from the bacon. My cousin and spouse ordered a stuffed jalapeño and brisket sandwich with fries. Everything was so good!! Very humble people matter of fact I actually know some of the family But the Jimmy wop burger is so heavy it will put you to sleep but good and fire at the same time just make sure pillow is ready after you're done eating out burger. I've seen the sign a few times at the bottom of the Industrial exit. This time I took that right turn to grab lunch from Backyard BBQ for the first time and I'm very glad I did. I had the tri-tip sandwich with pepper Jack and it was delicious. The meat was tender, flavorful, and just the right amount of smoke. I also had the privilege of meeting Doc, the owner. He's a good guy and an even better pit master. His staff is comprised of his family and they were all so friendly. This is one of the local family owed/staffed business I will make a point to support any chance I get. read more

We had high hopes for this place because we saw an article praising this place but it turned out to be a disappointment. Beware of Groupon coupon use at Backyard BBQ. On 3/1/21 purchased a $20 off Groupon coupon for BackYard BBQ. Today went to Backyard BBQ, saw a sign right on the outside ordering menu. As of 10/21/20, we do not honor Groupon coupons. The order taker said we do not order Groupon coupons as of 10/21/20. I told her just purchased Groupon. Told again we do not honor Groupon coupons. The last time visited Backyard BBQ before 10/21/20 purchased a $40 off Groupon coupon. When I tried to redeem was told I had to order four meals at the cost of over $100 to redeem $40 Groupon. Nowhere on the $40 Groupon coupon said you had order four meals to redeem the coupon. Said $40 off food purchases. Maybe someday Backyard BBQ will honor what is written on Groupon coupons. Would like to try the food. Backyard BBQ still selling Groupon coupons they do not accept as of 10/21/20. Interesting to see all the great recent reviews of Backyard BBQ on Groupon since Backyard BBQ has not accepted Groupons in six months. You cannot make a review on Groupon unless you redeem the Groupon coupon. It appears a scam is going on. read more

I meet my brother for beers once a month. With all the restaurants shut, we meet at his shop which is very near Backyard BBQ. Today we started early enough so we could sample their vittles.
