I attended to Revival on March 29, 2023 at the Flowood Location. I was with someone that was…read moredisabled that required wheelchair accessibility. We notice this location parking lot is not wheelchair accessible, at all. Although there are several parking spaces for handicap, there are not a lot of accessible Van Parking, when the dividual has to slide out coming off of a ramp. There are no wheelchair ramp slope, all the curves are extremely high and blocky whereas we were made to walk all the way down a row just to get in the building. Going into the building was fine, it's getting into the building the problem.

In my three visits, the teaching and preaching has been by the book, and worship follows a more conservative tradition: No instruments, no women leaders during the worship assembly, no drama performances. Two books are offered to the first time visitor, and both reflect conservative biblical scholarship practices. Young children are separate from the adult worship in a King's Kids extended bible class, and the Sunday morning attended nursery is ready to take on special needs children. One of the members with whom I spoke during my first visit in September practically chased me down in the parking lot to greet me again when I came back the third time in December! And my son was visiting with me the second time, when a member said to him, "you and some other boys stayed in my house when the Freed-Hardeman chorale came through two years ago on tour!" This is a body that notices and remembers newcomers, despite the full building (200+ Sunday a.m.).

One of the elders taught the class. The worship service started with the worship leader directing acapella singing, assisted by a miked praise team seated near the front. The Connections Minister, one woman I met before class, offered a welcome and made some announcements. The sermon was delivered by a fellow who filled in, because the regular preacher was away for Christmas. He was well-prepared, and offered a challenge to eliminate selfishness. Communion was led by one guy at the front, assisted by ushers who came up from the back to pass around individual wafers and then individual cups of non-fermented grape juice. The offering was led by a different guy, and he clearly announced that visitors and guest were not expected to give. One of the elders closed the service with a benediction.
