I was rushed into giving a deposit on a puppy when I inquired about a litter in January 2025 and…read morewas not told where I was on the wait list. I was also not told that my deposit was not refundable under certain conditions. By the time I was asked to choose a puppy from that litter there were not any orange and white males left, which is what we wanted, so I deferred my deposit to the next litter which we were told would come in the summer. In the spring I was asked if I was interested in any puppies from a surprise litter of all female pups. I declined as we wanted a male. Summer came and went with no Brittany litter and my family ended up getting a puppy from somewhere else. I did not hear from David again until October. I was asked if I was interested in choosing a puppy from the October litter, I declined as we had just gotten a puppy in the summer. I asked for my deposit back and they refused to send it to me. Beware when putting a deposit down that they will keep it even when you ask for it back! I am the 3rd Yelp review to mention this.

I wanted a female pup from the 2nd of two upcoming litters. He kept pushing a male pup from the wrong litter. He got offended when I asked about AKC registration and hung up on me. Very poor business manners. When I asked for my deposit back he said at first he was going to give me half back, then he decided no, I'm just going to keep the whole deposit. So how many deposits per litter does he end up keeping? That could be a tidy little sum of money. When I was on the phone with him it seemed like he was just making up his rules on the fly. Very pushy and rude. I would not recommend this guy unless you want to lose your deposit.

I asked them to address a few normal puppy concerns like jumping and nipping which they did not do. Upon taking my dog home he showed absolutely no regard for any of the commands he was "taught." When I contacted Lara the blame was put on me. They said that I must be using the commands wrong. They offered for me to go back so they could reshow me how to command "properly." I did this and still no change. They said it was unreasonable to expect for my dog to be there for 2 weeks and be a newly trained dog. That it was my responsibility to train him the commands that they supposedly taught him. Well then what was my almost $2,000 for? I understand having to practice in order to keep up with them but this was far more than that. They were not interested in helping or finding a real remedy to the situation.
