If I could give less I would. We moved out four months ago and are now being sued for apartment…read moreclean-up over "excessive dust." I cleaned top to bottom and made a point of dusting because I noticed it was dustier than I liked personally. Dusted inside and outside cupboards and all counters and baseboards, then climbed on a ladder and dusted the ceiling fans and tops of everything. I suspect that the painters made a mess and I am paying for it since my mother lived in the same building (she has since moved out) and saw the painters in the apartment less than a week after I left. This on top of the during the last few months we were there we rarely had a kitchen due to a leak in the pipes at the sink which dumped all of the dishwasher water from above (we were first floor) in our kitchen. It took a week to get any repairs and then had to wait for them to get estimates on doing the job. In the meantime I had a waterfall in my kitchen (I sent the manager video) and could not use the kitchen. When it did get fixed the plumbers left a mess (very dusty by the way) in the bathroom including a hole in the wall they cut to acess pipes and all the drywall in the bathroom sink. When we moved out that hole was still there, although I did clean up the drywall. The plumbers also threw everything all the dirty water into the tub and it was not ever useable again. Now I am being charged for "excessive dust" and extra clean up. They just want the money. The place changed owners when we were there and the new owners only want money into their pockets and none going out. The first plumber said the kitchen would keep leaking and the pipe was put in wrong, they had plumbers keep looking at it and giving estimates, four gave estimates to fix it (one saying it was illegal) and one said it was fine-guess who they took? I will never recommend this place and, if asked, will tell people to be cautious renting there. BTW: No smoking is in the lease but apparently does not apply, at least three apartments had active smokers the last year I lived there.

That same daughter went over and helped her younger sister move out in February of 2023 and they did all the exact cleaning and asked for the paint to do some wall touch ups and the manager gave her the paint to use. Then they kept her deposit stating the paint didn't match. She left the apartment in much better shape then when she moved in as when she moved in their was dog hair everywhere. Baseboards, carpet, floors, vents. She had to do a thorough cleaning before she moved in. She documented all of this and yet the new manager is being a thief and keeping the deposit because the paint they gave her didn't perfectly match the walls. I'm not sure what we can do. My daughter was shocked, horrified, and felt taken advantage of. Especially since her sister got hers back in full. Isn't there anything anyone can do to report bad managers like this. She really couldn't have done more to leave it in any better shape. Beware of that place!!!!

Poor build, mice, millipedes, sewer water, walls cracks (bigger than settling cracks), paper thin…read morewalls, no quiet hours, sunken in toilet, high maintenance turnover, and empty promises from management. My boyfriend and I lived here for a year so you wouldn't have to and it was easily the worst living experience nightmare we've ever lived in. The issues never ended just like this review. The plumbing was done incorrectly per a professional plumbing company which causes sewer water to back up into our laundry room, master bathroom, kitchen, and living room. Allora refused to replace any flooring or drywall. They did eventually fix the failed plumbing after an entire month. A construction manager had to buy a mop with his own money to clean our floors as Allora's maintenance workers shrugged their shoulders and left us on our own. Our guest toilet was sunken so low into the ground the construction workers said they have no idea how to even passed code for us to move in. We next had mice in the walls which Allora offered to have a professional service come out two weeks after we notified them which "is the best they could do" as there were already with professional grade traps outside. We found the hole the mice had chewed to gain entry and opened a maintenance ticket which was never fixed even upon move out. We had +500 millipedes coming in from multiple places including the front door and through the floorboards of every room. Even though pest control comes weekly they cannot contain the pest infestation. Our flooring in the kitchen and living room was also seeping / bubbling up water. My boyfriend and I moved in January and Management promised our dog yard would be completed by end February. It was actually completed by November when it was snowing. The walls are paper thin and there are no quiet hours. Literally sounds like people are in your apartment with you at all hours. Allora had to special order our fridge filters, fridge air filters and HVAC filters as they didn't have any on site. There's no regular maintenance standard or replacing any of these filters probably because the turnover is so high for maintenance workers as this is the 5th employee. Theres also high turnover in the leasing offices they've been through 3 leasing managers since we've signed the lease. So you truly never feel like you're gaining traction on any outstanding issues. Literally every week it's a new issue. Allora is severely overpriced for all the non stop issues which makes the place never feel like home. I agree with the reviewer below, Sarah, that +3 total reviews that are 5 star reviews were left by employees / affiliates of Allora.
