Loco Moco Burrito - too much rice imo
    Taylor D.

Our group of 3 ordered 2 loco moco burritos and the Korean style breakfast sandwich. We were all underwhelmed. The burritos are filled to the brim with white rice. Left the burrito lacking with flavor. Unfortunately can't recommend especially due to the price

What an amazing find . I've heard of this spot but never been till today . After looking it up and going to the bar I can say it was an amazing authentic Tiki experience in the middle of a Disneyland hotel . [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance - They had a duo singing Hawaiian songs that also gave it some validity and takes you back to the island[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . Service - our server was amazing gave us some suggestion and was extremely attentive . Drinks- ok so we had several drinks (well that's why we're at a tiki bar) we had tiki tiki tiki tiki tiki rum, Zombie , Safe travels and Notes of adventure . Each one was amazing and couldn't think of anything wrong with our drinks . Loved each one and tasty and also potent . Overall amazing tiki bar with some kick ass drinks !

I wanted to bring my daughter to see the inside of Trader Sam's Tiki Bar. (They do not take reservations, only walk ups.) When we arrived for dinner the bar was busy and seating would be outside so we came back the next day for lunch when it would be less crowded. I decided to order from the anniversary menu. Food is decent. Service was ok. Seemed like there was only one person waiting on all the tables. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tiki bar is well decorated as expected for Disney.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If you can, it is worth going to just to experience the tiki bar.

First time trying Trader Sam's at the Disneyland Resort and I cannot believe how long it took me to try this amazing restaurant! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Loved the tropical theme aesthetic, made us feel that we weren't surrounded by the traditional Disneyland crowds.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff are very welcoming and do a great job at providing a magical experience. Special shoutout to Nikol & Lisa for being amazing! We stopped by for breakfast on a Saturday and only had to wait 10 minutes with no reservation. Easy access as it's located in the Disneyland Hotel. The Loco-Moco Burrito was tasty and a nice change to the traditional breakfast food in SoCal. Come check out this hidden hideaway!

Went here for dinner. You must make reservations in advance. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside the restaurant is limited seating/ w outdoor seating being more spaces.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu is small but the do have lots of options for drinks you can order and someone of the drinks you can keep the glass for a take home souvenir. The server was nice and helped us decide on what to eat. I had the katsu chicken curry w/rice. I give it a 8 out of 10. To drink I had the Ginger's pear Adise it was pretty tasty. Over all I might go back to try something else and sit at the bar next time.

I have severe shellfish allergies, and the chef came out and greeted us personally and went through all the different menu items with me to make sure I pick something that was safe. They were incredibly thorough and kind. The Ramen was a lot of food. We couldn't finish it and there were two of us. Unfortunately the drinks we ordered did not trigger the special sound effects. I think you have to buy a special cup to make that happen.

Another morning saved by the staff at Trader Sam's following an hour, plus, to exit and park. It is such a great spot to unwind. Should out to Shirley! Thanks for taking care of us, again, and for another round of spot on recommendations. The Ube French toast was wonderful! Not too sweet and not artificial tasting. I am surprised by how much I enjoyed it. We will be back!

On our last day at the Disneyland Hotel, we decided to get lunch at Trader Sam's before embarking on our 1.5 hour (minimum) drive home. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Unfortunately, the inside of the Tiki Bar was closed for repairs/upgrades, but we ate on their very pleasant outdoor patio, and luckily, the weather was lovely.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I'm not that into Hawaiian type food, no offense to Hawaiians whatsoever, so I found the menu to be a bit limiting. Since I just had a poke bowl the prior night, I didn't want another, even though it was probably what I would've ordered. Most other dishes were with pork, which I don't eat. Instead, I ordered chicken tenders, which is so NOT what I would EVER order, but I did on this day. The chicken was not overly greasy, and it had good flavor. The fries were even better. The poke bowl looked gorgeous, and the 3 others who got that said it was delicious, although not nearly as much salmon as they were hoping for... and it had way too much rice. (Those of us who had poke bowls from the previous night had loads of ahi tuna and the perfect amount of rice.) My husband enjoyed his bacon cheeseburger, something I'd never get. Not a fan of bacon AT ALL. My grandchildren got the chicken tenders like their grandma. :-) [[HIGHLIGHT]]We ate our food to being serenaded with live music on the patio. Nice touch[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. I think most people come here to drink cocktails, although we didn't since we were about to make a long trek home up the I-5. I probably won't eat here again when/if we stay at this hotel, but it served its purpose when we needed it.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're looking for fun Hawaiian vibes with a lively atmosphere, Trader Sam's is a great choice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We came here on a Friday night and it was poppin! Seats were full, energy was high, and they even had live Hawaiian music with someone playing and singing the ukulele and guitar, which really set the mood.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the Brewery Huckleberry Hard Seltzer and it was so good. It was light, refreshing, and tasted more like a berry cider. It was definitely my kind of drink. I wasn't super hungry since I had a late lunch, but you can't have a drink without a little something, so I went with the kids cheeseburger. Just a heads up, it's definitely more like a mini slider in size but it was tasty. They don't automatically add condiments, so make sure to ask for ketchup and mustard if you would like it your way. Also the french fries, it was perfectly crisp with a light batter that gives them just the right crunch. As someone who loves fries, these were so bomb. Shoutout to Yvette, our server. She was so sweet, friendly, and always smiling. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love coming here at night when they light up all the fires. It creates this cozy and fun ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]If you're at Downtown Disney or just wrapping up a day at Disneyland, this is such a great spot to unwind.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]One of the best sit-down spots around Disneyland if you want dinner with a free show.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tiki vibe, music, and interactive moments make it more than just a meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My go-to is the tonkotsu ramen -- rich and comforting after a long park day. Tempura green beans are a must, crispy with a great dipping sauce. Pricey, but you're paying for the experience. Would come back

*Visited in April 2025 What We Ordered: -Chicken Wings $24.00 -Dole Whip Drink $14.00 -Mai Tai $18.00 -Kid's Cheeseburger $12.00 -Krakatoa Punch $19.00 -Mai Tai Mug $45.00 -Red Piranha Mug $49.00 -Shirley Temple $6.00 -Pu Pu Platter $26.00 -2 Tiki Rum $38.00 I love Tiki Bars! Whenever I get the chance, I must visit one. It's really difficult to get a reservation here, but we were lucky enough to get good seats on the patio. I don't recall our server's name, but he was an older, white-haired gentleman who was hard of hearing and had difficulty taking our order. I hope he was just having an off night, as it was a bit frustrating. We asked for help from what I presume was a manager, and she was very helpful and attentive, taking care of us for the rest of the evening. It was smooth sailing from there! The food was underwhelming, but you're not really there for the food! I'm not sure why we ordered wings, as they're included in the Pu Pu Platter. The wings were too expensive for the amount you receive. While the Pu Pu Platter was small, I liked being able to sample different appetizers, but it was still overpriced. I would recommend eating dinner elsewhere and going here on a full stomach, just to focus on the drinks and great ambiance. They had live music on the patio with tiki torches, making it a proper tiki experience. We had a really nice time, and we will definitely be back. However, we will eat elsewhere and just order drinks next time!

The food? Good. The ambiance? Gooood. The cast member taking your info at the front podium? Gooooooood!!! Super friendly and welcoming. This was our first time at Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar and we were excited to check it out! My husband and I got two seats at the bar, and despite not ordering a drink, got to enjoy the show and food all the same. The bartenders/servers were great, very attentive and offered suggestions. I got the poke bowl which had a lot of toppings and was a decent portion. My husband got the chicken strips (hard to mess those up) and liked them. I loved the interior of the restaurant. Very fun decor throughout and the bathrooms were an adventure too. Can't wait to return!

Shipwreck on the Rocks but in a different bowl

Trader Sam's is one of the most quintessential places to go on Disney property. The wait times here can get pretty crazy, especially if you go at night. Also, if you want the full experience you have to drink and dine inside. I do enjoy the drinks and the food here, but this place is very much about the show as well. When you order certain drinks on the menu the bartenders and servers put on a production that includes fun lights and sounds, volcanoes going off, ships sinking, chanting and the guests getting sprayed with water. Oh, and who can forget the cow bell! On this visit, we just came in for drinks. I ordered the Shipwreck on the Rocks and my friend ordered the Krakatoa Punch. Both of the drinks come with a little show anytime they are ordered. They also put on a show if you order the "Uh Oa" which includes chanting and fire. It's just so fun. The inside of Trader Sam's can get so crowded, so be prepared for a wait. It's worth it though!

Ask the Community - Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar

Hi are they open on Martin Luther King day which is on a monday?

You need to make a reservation. They are booked. You might try walk up. Tiki is part of Disneyland property so likely never closes.

What time does kitchen close on Sunday?

The restaurant closes at 11:55 p.m. so I would assume shortly before then, but I suggest calling.

I accidentally dropped my husband's mug he just got a few days ago. If I stop by, without a reservations, do you think they will sell me another mug with getting a drink? I'm in town next week for work and want to stop by and try.

Hello, I don't see why they wouldn't. They allowed me to do this a while back. You can try asking the host at the podium or even do a walk up reservation on the Disneyland app. They may be out of stock, so you may want to have a second choice in…

Do they have a locals discount?

    No they do not.

Does anyone know if they have happy hour here?

You know why it's called Magic Kingdom? Because it's practically magic how quickly they make your money disappear. No happy hours my friend. No discounts. No freebies. No nothing.

Can I make reservations over the phone? Or does it have to be in person?

Chrissy that's the problem with the place. You have two choices. Book via Disney dining (app / online) six months In advance. And I mean the minute it turns 12:01 on the 6 month mark, you book. But they also leave a few slots open each day for…

    Is there happy hour here?

    No lol

Do they have gluten free options?

I think you can go on to the dining Disneyland website and see their menu. Hope this helps!

Does the restaurant have a parking lot?

As park of the Disneyland Hotel.

Do you have to be staying at the hotel or have a Disney pass/ticket to get in or can you just go for dinner and drinks and park at the hotel? Or is it literally in the park?

It's outside of the park, and you do not have to be a hotel guest. It does get busy though.

Do they validate if you park at downtown Disney? If not, where can you park that they validate?

No. They don't validate for downtown Disney. The parking stubs are different and they will recognize it right away and so will the system. Trader sam's only validates for the hotel.

Can adults order off the kids menu here even if they get alcoholic drinks?

Yes, at Disney you should be able to order off any menu.

Can I opt out of buying a souvenir mug to make the price lower?

Yes the souvenir is only optional

Where do you park?Down town Disney parking just seems so far away

Park at the hotel, They validate for hotel parking not Downtown Disney.

    Do they have heaters outside?

    Yes they do! ☺️

Can you bring a cake for a celebration and have them store it in the fridge while we eat?

    Don't think so

    Are vaccinations required?

No they are not required. In order to sit inside, now, all guest myst be 21.

Is it reservations only and can people under 21 dine in?

You can dine in without reservations and 21 years or under are welcome

Can I get there by parking at downtown Disney?

Anyone can go to the bar! It's right outside the Disney hotel

    Do they take reservations?

No. They only have a walk up list. People start lining up around 3pm to be seated inside. The tables inside are limited to 4 people or less, because the inside is so small. However if you are fine with eating outside on the patio with the same food…

The tuna and toppings were okay but the crispy rice tasted like fried fair food almost with the texture of a rice cake. Hopefully, their other dishes are better. For drinks, the waiter helped select the Banana Batida for me which was very lovely! I love how customized the recommendations were. My partner ordered a rum drink which he enjoyed as well. We finished off with a brownie dessert. I really enjoyed the passion fruit puree and kiwi topping. The brownie tasted good but was very dense which isn't my preference. Overall, would recommend. After our party of six chatted over cocktails and preyed on pupus, we moved to a "secret" room tucked in the back of Stowaway and walked into a Belly Of The Beast. The founders and co-owners of Stowaway, Leonard Chan and Dominic Iapello, created this extension to the tiki bar with a wildly interesting Pinocchio theme and the famed encounter with Monstro the whale all the while serving the same offerings in Stowaway but with also an exclusive limited menu just for this adventure. With its proximity to Disneyland and its Enchanted Tiki Room, with the very niche underground-like society of tiki culture they found a consistent customer base and the thrill of island escapism through colorful cocktails, pleasurable pupus, tropical trimmings, and nostalgic know-how. How would my belly handle the beastly drinks concocted here!? PURCHASE(S) Gepetto's Last Words ($16.00): Intrigued by the cocktail's name, this elixir was crafted with Fid Street Gin, tangerine, creme de violette, lemon, and cucumber, it was a citrusy refreshing sweet drink that was decorated with bright yellow petals. It was nice, but for whatever reason it just didn't quite hit the spot. [ONION RINGS/STRAWS/STRINGS ALERT - 4.0 of 5.0 STARS] Onion Rings ($9.00): A decent portion with rings of medium to large sizes, these were hot, dark golden browned, crunchy, and had a slight tendency to crumble when bitten into while the onion ring (sweet Maui!) rarely pulled out at times. They were lightly oily while the catsup wasn't needed but used. SERVICE While in Stowaway, we informed our male server to let us know when we were allowed to enter the belly. Once inside and situated, we had the place and bartender to ourselves. After we all perused the menu, we placed our orders, and everything arrived within ten minutes. The rest of the time was spent chatting, picture taking, and our bartender checked in on us also giving a Dole Whip taster. All was casual, chill, and somewhat on island time - aloha and mahalo! PARKING (FREE): They shared a medium-sized private lot with several other businesses who were closed at this time with plenty of spots - 'nuff said. ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE "Hidden" inside Stowaway which was located within a strip mall, the entire theme was based on the Pinocchio story, the interlude in time spent inside Monstro, and as we entered it felt like the beginning of the Disneyland "Storybook" ride as you road a canal boat into the mouth and sharp teet of a whale. There were several marionettes (appropriate and non-appropriate) that hung from the ceiling and belly walls, along with other Disneyesque memorabilia, a few sitting booths, and a tiny bar at the end of the roo. No natural lighting whatsoever while an assortment of extremely low-lit electric lights and table candles glowed. There were no TVs while I couldn't recall any background music. ATTIRE Although I was actually dressed appropriately for the occasion in an aloha shirt, linen pants, and flip-flops, this place was totally casual, so a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops would suffice. OVERALL Belly Of The Beast was an adventurous fun evening with friends, it left me feeling childlike with the need to watch "Pinocchio", and I couldn't wait to return to try more of their awesome-soundling elixirs. I generally loved all-things Disneyana, and this new wrinkle, albeit probably not approved by the mouse ears brass, caught my fancy. My one drink was tasty but just didn't hit the right spot, the onion rings were very good, the prices were a tad elevated, the atmosphere was awesome, and the service was friendly and professional. They had an extremely limited menu, and there was some doubt whether or not ordering from the Stowaway menu was an option. Plus, I always preferred to support small local mom & pop businesses. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $27.00 BEFORE any discounts and/or tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

It's one of our favorite little traditions being able to grab a treat and then sit down, cool off in the AC, and enjoy the show. We've tried a few different items here over the years, and two of our favorites are the Pineapple Upside Down Sundae and the Pineapple Orange Guava Tropical Float. Both are super refreshing and full of flavor perfect for a warm park day. The Pineapple Upside Down Sundae is creamy and sweet with that classic Dole Whip flavor, while the tropical float adds a bright, fruity twist that's just as enjoyable. One of the best parts about this spot is being able to take your treat into the Tiki Room and relax for a bit. The show is charming, nostalgic, and such a nice break from the crowds. It's one of those places in the park where you can slow down, recharge, and just enjoy the moment without rushing onto the next ride. Overall, this is one of our favorite stops in the park a perfect mix of a refreshing treat and a relaxing experience all in one. Another simple stop that turns into a sweet little memory for us.

You have to book on the app, and it wasn't a long line to wait after your time is ready. They do cram like four different parties in one booth. I ordered both the blue milk, non alcoholic drink and the pink milk drink as well; I preferred the blue ones since it came with a cookie. They both were fine. Everyone seemed to get the bread which was tasty like a pretzel and the cheese sauce was very spicy. I enjoyed the music and I appreciate that the service was good. My husband got two free soda waters! .

It's Disney theming done so well with Star Wars vibes and fun, tasty, very expensive drinks. If you have a Magic Key Disneyland season pass though, you will get a 10% discount so be sure to alert the staff to this. I've tried a bunch of mocktails & cocktails here and they're all exciting and fun. I've also tried some snacks, that I would say the same about. None of either was mind blowingly amazing but they're good and pretty. I actually prefer going for their beers - all special and cool craft brew options. However, they used to have a really cool beer flight with an even cooler souvenir! They don't seem to have that anymore and I wonder if it just wasn't popular with the high $86 price tag for the small tasters of the beer. It was sooo cute though! Most of the beers themselves are low potency, but the $14.75 6.5% Jogan Blossom Hazy IPA is a nice ube flavored brew. The other 3 beers on tap are under 5% and $18.25. Drinks at Disney be pricccccey! 45 minute time limit and 2 drink maximum! Overall, love Oga's Cantina and even if you don't drink, it's a great experience to feel like you are IN one of the cantinas in the Star Wars movies.
