Last week I brought my trailer to them to do three things. 1. Inspect trailer overall for any necessary work. Basically bring it up to tip top shape. 2. Fix interior lighting system as it wasn't working. 3. Patch fiberglass roof as there were small pin holes that were leaking water when it rained. I was told by Jeff that this was all part of their scope of work and would get to it in the coming week, thus having it done by the time I needed it back for work. Firstly: communication with their office via phone is not great. You'll sometimes get their national call center and wonder if they ever get the message you called. I also called once to leave a message directly with Jeff through Kyle and it was apparent he never got it because I never got what I asked for that day. I got a call with the inspection saying it'd need new bearings on the wheels and it looked like they'd need to take a section of the wall of to fix/inspect the lights. I got a quote for the work and they said it'd be ready by the time I had requested. I should state now that it was done a day late when they had it for a week and a half. Second: I got a call sometime after they'd had the trailer several days saying the compound they had to fix the roof with wasn't adhering and that they were 'sorry', but they couldn't fix the roof because all the trailers they fix are either aluminum or steel, NOT fiberglass. THIS WAS A MAJOR LETDOWN AND NEARLY 100% OF THE REASON I HAD THE TRAILER THERE FOR REPAIR IN THE FIRST PLACE. If you knew that you'd never fixed a fiberglass roof, why on earth didn't you say so and set the expectation from the get go that it may be an issue. Client expectations are everything! Lastly: Upon inspecting the trailer, as I was asked to sign off on several bullet points regarding the trailer and it's functionality. "Lights working" was one of them. I had knowledge of a single left hand hazard/blinker not working well prior to dropping it off...so I carefully inspected all. This light was still intermittent. At which pint they had their 'mechanic' come over to see if the wires were delivering power. Which they were. OK...so the next right thing to do would be to replace the light. Make it work, right? Nope...they told me where I could buy this light at a truck stop down the road. When I refused to sign off on the trailer lights I asked them to make it right. Jeff went inside to 'see what he could do'. I assumed he spoke with management. Upon returning he asked if I had a hitch lock, as if to offer this as a substitute for the broken tail light. I told him I had one. Jeff said there was nothing they could do and that the light HAD been working when they did their work to it. Wait, isn't that the point of my inspection? So if I find something wrong, you'll fix it? Especially something I asked to have specifically looked at??? LAME! read more
