I initially engaged Trailfinder Investigations for skip tracing, which was handled adequately. However, the experience quickly devolved into a nightmare once it came to service of process. Lead Investigator Andrew Scott is a hostile, arrogant bully whose professional conduct is a case study in misogyny and verbal abuse. When I offered polite, deferential suggestions regarding the service of the individual, Andrew Scott responded with a level of pure, unadulterated anger that was completely out of line. He is a "gatekeeper" who weaponizes legal jargon to belittle and intimidate clients. Most disturbingly, he attempted to triple-charge me ($220) for a service that the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office performs for approximately $60. His reaction to being questioned was surgically cruel. He pivoted from a vendor to a hostile aggressor, using "HR-level" abusive language to ensure I felt unsafe and "incorrect." His behavior is predatory; he preys on the stress of people navigating the legal system to justify his inflated fees. Warning: Do not be deceived by his professional title. Andrew Scott lacks the basic human decency and emotional regulation required for this field. He is unsafe, cruel, and ethically compromised. If you want professional service without being verbally assaulted or financially exploited, go to the Sheriff. Avoid this man at all costs. read more

I hired Trailfinder PI in Denver to discreetly check on my sister, after giving them a payment of $1,200 they went dark, no communicating, after numerous attempts, no reply, 3 weeks later, they said they located her, BUT it ends up they told her I was the one who hired them, this caused a huge fight between my sister and the rest of our family, this was supposed to be discreet, definitely not to say I hired them. My sister became very depressed after this, she stopped talking to my brother and I, she was so upset that we were spying on her using a investigator, in the letter she left me prior to attempting to taking her life, she said the guy from the private investigator company, yelled at her, called her stupid, pushed her against a wall and didn't let her go, she said she was so afraid and didn't know what to do, eventually the "guy" just walked away not saying anything! My family is speaking with an attorney to see how to proceed, I have hired a different private investigator in Colorado to investigate Trailfinder itself. So upset read more

DO NOT USE- read their negative reviews. It will save you. They KNOWINGLY served the wrong person. Did not provide reasonable communication during process attempts. Refused to take any accountability. Have zero customer service skills. Wanted $100 more to fix their poor judgement. I believe they misrepresent their service. They refuse to talk on the phone when you actually need it, essentially no phone support. I will update this review with the results of my court action against them that I feel forced to do because they have zero problem solving skills. Also read all of his responses to all of his negative reviews - ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY. Zero. I wish I would have read the reviews beforehand. I was in a desperate situation and needed documents served ASAP. I paid for the expedited service at two addresses. $320 wasted. One service was supposed to be up to 4 attempts over two days. It was one attempt, the second was later in the afternoon and also one attempt. Poor communication and poor customer service. I told them the person being served has gone through this before, so try and be discreet. They showed up at the front door with a big patch on their chest saying they were a process server. They tried to upsell me a few times. I would not recommend this service for anything needed urgently (or anything at all). I feel like they collect the money then put on the list with a bunch of other people and get around to one try when they get around to it. read more

They TALK a good game but DON'T PROVIDE AS ADVERTISED! Firstly,I got the impression that they are OVERWHELMED by their caseload, that they don't want to talk on the phone, because they have a hundred cases open at any given time. Consequently, they don't like to talk on the phone and prefer emails exclusively. Secondly, they generate responses by AI, which is not the right way to handle a business involving the extreme requirements of their clients. Even though they contracted to provide four attempts in 2 days, they made the arbitrary decision that they had a "bad" contact, notwithstanding that it was a known location where the subject to be served often frequented and decided that they were going to close their case instead of making the four attempts which which they promised. I was forced to spend valuable time prevailing upon them to honor the terms of their contract. Furthermore, when I requested that they provide proof of their attempts they FAILED to do so. This case involved a child abduction but they treated it like a case involving an eviction. read more

This company is definitely composed of scammers. They advertise themselves as a 24/7 company, which they are not.They do not deliver the number of attempts they are asked to and then lie blatantly to cover their pathetic excuse of a company. I paid $220 for same day service, asked for 3 attempts to be made same day. They made only one attempt and delivered the report the next day. Also let me know that they would not be working after a certain time in the evening. Now that I'm putting this out on reviews and asking for a refund, they are falsely stating that I want a refund because they couldn't make a successful attempt. We knew the recipient was evading being served, but we absolutely needed three attempts because that's what the court required. I would give them a negative rating if I could. read more

I needed an address to have someone served and Andrew is the biggest liar of all. I was charged $349 in all for a report and to go to two unknown address that I provided. I went to CO and found the person address myself and paid the sheriffs department $52 to serve the person and they makes 30 attempts. I filed a complaint with BBB and a course Andrew lies again. Don.t use this company because you can pull your own report with a free trail with Spokeo and check Facebook and Insta parameters for clues. This company I give a zero rating if I could. Reading the other reviews, I imagine they took them to heart and improved their communication. I had two parties to serve at the same address. They served one party the same day I engaged them. He lied and told them the other party no longer lived there, hadn't lived there for 6-7 months, and had no contact information for her. When I said I was pretty sure she still lived there, they went above and beyond to find her and serve her. When the guy later lied, saying he'd never said she didn't live there, they confirmed they had bodycam video of the discussion and walked me through what I needed to bring that to court. It helped speak to the credibility of the defendants. Through all this, they were very responsive and communicated every step they took, from serving to filing the documents. They were patient with my questions and educated me on parts of the process of which I was ignorant. I absolutely recommend them for process service. read more

Unprofessional, over-priced, terrible communication. Company also goes by ANL Service of Process & Investigations. Beware of this company if you need help with serving someone. I  paid nearly $400 to have someone served and they had over a month to preform the service.  As soon as I paid, I would follow up and not hear back unless I inquired over and over.  When I asked for a refund the owner called me a "crybaby" and said he would inform the person I was trying to serve to "avoid me" so effectively doing the opposite of what I hired them to do.  Feel free to send me a message on this app for copies of the text messages so you don't make the same mistake. read more

We tried to contact him 3 times by phone, and we got no returned call then a UPS letter sent to him which was returned to us. When I called I asked all kinds of questions to make sure I would be getting the services I would be paying $880.00 plus a deposit. They answered my questions to my satisfaction. So I hired this company to come and do a full bug sweep to my apartment and car. They said it would take up to four hours for their TEAM to assess the apartment and car. However I waited 5 hours for one guy Andrew Scott to show up not a team like promised. He took one hour to quickly go through my apartment and car. Never recorded any information. Took over a week to get a false report stating things they did but really did not do any of the services that I was promised and signed a contract for. Total scam if you ask me. There was a serious communication breakdown between this company and I. Although the Investigator wrote down the car make, license number and Facebook photo, he did tell me he was not going to use this important information. I absolutely did not know that the process server was not going to simply -check to see if the person was home first before attempting service. The result of this tactic was a complete failure and a waste of money. If you use these people I suggest getting everything in writing before paying them. read more

I paid for my services at the beginning of the month paid the $45 for a 4 attempts over a 10 day service. I have inquired over weeks of time because I was trying to get the person served divorce papers before said court date at the end of this month. Andrew got back with me and told me I should hear something sooner or on the 20th of the month. And I have not hear nothing and court was 6 days later. He still hasn't been served and yet the sheriff department was able to serve the same individual a protective order several weeks after I submitted my payment and documents. Worst service ever and not to mention the guy who answers the phone. He is rude and was like there is 19 people queued ahead of you they will get to you when they get to you. I will just bite the bullet if he is not served soon reschedule the court again and just pay the Boulder PD the $55.19 to get him served again read more
