This used to be where the old St Kilda Railway line terminated, but that was quite a while ago and it is now just a tram stop. I guess it makes it somewhat easier to get to St Kilda now since you don't have to change from a train to a tram, or even walk, not that the walk is all that bad, Unfortunately, it doesn't seem as if the old station is still standing, and I honestly don't know what it used to look like. Now it is just an appartment block containing a supermarket on one side, and a collection of bars and function centres on the other. It is a shame that the old buildings were knocked down, but I suspect that they probably weren't all that great anyway. read more
