Not very happy with this company. I was recommended that I go with a 2 person job as we didn't have much furniture (we sold half our furniture before we moved) and boxes, and it ended up taking 9 hours!!! Both locations were less than a mile away from from one another and we were in a 3 bedroom 2 bath. I wish we were advised to go with 3 or even 4 people to move as we were charged per hour. It wasn't efficient, it was costly and we were exhausted as my husband ended up helping movers towards the end to get things finished. 9 hours! Very disappointed. I moved with these company in 2014 and it was the most perfect and smoothest moving experience back then. Fast, hassle-free, no damaged items. This is what I can't say about this time. The service seems to be downgraded. It took them longer than expected to appear at the doorstep of my new home. Some of my furniture items came scratched with missing parts. And I was supposed to assemble my bed frame again after they dissembled it to fit in the truck. Luckily the guys didn't refuse to assemble it upon my request. To my regret assembly was poor with some slats left loose. I believe I will be moving with someone else next time. read more

I really enjoyed using their moving service! I needed to move dozens of boxes, minimal furniture, and a king-sized mattress. The movers were on time, very careful and efficient. They swiftly wrapped my mattress, maneuvered through tight staircases with ease, making sure not to knock on anything. At the end they called us to the truck to see that it was emptied. I have no idea why this company has so many stars. We moved from one 2 bedroom apartment to another. The truck they sent was ridiculously small. We were shocked. The movers worked hard but were not movers. They did not know how to pack the truck so they ran out of space fast and really did not wrap things fast enough. We ended up doing no less than 8 runs in our cars. More than one car. Basically, if you pick up some workers in the Home Depot lot and rent a truck you will achieve the same. The cost is reasonable but what bugs me is that the main guy who is not even there makes the money and pays the poor guys he sends out a pittance I am sure. I gave them a nice tip out of pity. They worked so hard. Not their fault they were not professionals since they were not the owners. I complained and got some money back so all in all, it was a value. I got into a little accident on the way to get the cash to pay them. Went to the emergency room. And then they almost moved the university-owned furniture out of my dorm room into my new place. My friend caught their mistake and had them load the shrink-wrapped furniture back to the dorm. But it was my fault for getting into an accident. These guys are excellent. They are ready to show up early (7:30 am?!), work hard, and take care of your stuff. I literally didn't do anything. They efficiently packed and moved all my stuff. Not too expensive either. I had to meet with Hector after the move to get my receipt, but it happened within a week. read more

Moving sucks but having these guys move definitely helps make it suck less. We got 3 movers and they showed up about 20 min early and were all set and ready to go! As I was packing the week before I was stuffing these ginormous boxes with pots and pans thinking that the movers can team up to carry them, but nope - they must have had their Wheaties that morning b/c they just powered through those boxes like they were nothing! They moved fast, shrink and cloth wrapped furniture, helped us take apart the bed and office desk, and loaded everything up. It's amazing how much a 2br townhouse can contain. We then made them stop at our storage facility to pick up boxes, my in-law's house to pick up our TV and TV stand (moved there for staging purposes), and then my parents' house for a full size mattress. THEN - we headed across the bay. When we got to the new house it was well into hour #4 and well past lunch so I got pizza. They wouldn't even eat until they were done b/c they felt bad about billing hours or something. So about 7.5hrs after they started we were finally moved in and then they ate some well deserved pizza. The guys were GREAT and I would totally recommend them. They also put together our bed and office desk before they left. I was already exhausted and my feet hurt after our move - can you imagine what it would have been like if we didn't have movers? read more

These guys are great. Very professional, hard-working and fast. Hector provided wardrobe-boxes 2 weeks ahead of time. We did the packing ourselves, they turned up on time, with a big truck, and did the loading. They wrapped all the furniture thoroughly, took good care of everything. They even moved our full-sized upright piano. They worked non-stop on a very hot day - we actually had to tell them to take a lunch-break, and then they were back to work in 10 minutes - and got everything done in the time Hecotr had quoted. And all for a very reasonable price. Again, Yelp to the rescue. I bought a beautiful wood dining room set from Craigslist and needed help moving it. I called some people who either couldn't commit to a certain time or my job was too small. I can understand having a 2 hour minimum but this wasn't going to work for me. I called Hector 6 PM Friday night asking him if he could move the set the next morning at 10 AM. He said yes and asked me to email both locations, and confirmed that he got them OK. He showed up with his truck and another man early, waited with me for a couple of minutes until the person I bought the set from came. He was friendly, and didn't say anything about waiting for awhile. They both started wrapping up the chairs, and table right away and did it carefully. The truck was carpeted, had lots of padding, and ropes. Hector asked if I wanted him to assemble the table for just a little extra which I was grateful for. It was very heavy and they finished it quickly. Overall, this was a most pleasant moving experience, even the person I bought the set from wanted Hector's business card. Hector and his guys were on time, friendly and worked hard. We set an early start time, 7:30, and despite the distance from his office in Belmont to my "from" location in Boulder Creek, he nailed it. The roads to my house up there are narrow and not all paved but he tackled them gamely. He wrapped every piece of good furniture in plastic, and then wrapped them in blankets. Nothing was broken in the move. Nothing. Unloading went really fast, and they were happy to put stuff where ever I wanted, and patient when I had to figure things out. I think I must be Trans One Movers best customer of all time. Due to no fault of our own we have moved 6 times in the past five years. If that sounds like hell, you're right. We have gotten through this because of Hector and his crew. They are amazing and we are very grateful! Hector gives us a very fair price every time and then proceeds to make it as easy as possible for us. Our first move from the city was with a national company and it was amazing that anything arrived in one piece or arrived at all. They took off with the back door open and I had to flag them down before my antiques fell out in the road!! And then we got lucky and found Hector. We have had almost no damage as they are VERY careful. And I feel comfortable- no worries- as they are honest, respectful and well trained. They work fast and safely... never any grumbling if something doesn't fit and has to be moved again. They are very polite and willing to do almost anything to make it work for you. This past move I had several pieces that needed to go to S.F. to Bonhams and he came up with a plan to do the job (with very little extra cost ) so I didn't have to store the furniture and we could get it there by the date Bonhams needed it to arrive. I also love that Hector takes good care of his crew...we tip them well for all they do and for the peace of mind we enjoy, and Hector really appreciates that as he wants his men to be treated well. We feed them at lunchtime and they often eat in the truck as they're going. I can't think of anything I would want done better. Hector is very generous with boxes and padding to protect your carpets and walls. They are very professional and enjoyable to work with. TransOne was fantastic. After years of asking friends & family to help move, it was about time to get the professionals involved. I searched on Yelp to find our perfect movers an definitely did with TransOne. Thanks Yelpers for the great suggestion! We moved this past Saturday & they even arrived about 15 minutes early. They packed up our 2 bedroom apartment on a 3rd floor walk up and moved us to our 2nd floor apartment in just under 4 hours - this also included a side trip to drop off a bed at another location. Pedro, Guillermo, & Donny(?) were very professional & took great care with wrapping up our furniture in moving pads and plastic wrap. I was very impressed - these guys moved quick and were strong. I remember seeing one of the guys carry the boxspring by himself. We paid $95/hour for the 3 guys and the huge truck (we barely filled up half the truck). It was a local move from Redwood Shores to Foster City. All my communication with Hector was over email and there was never more than a 24 hour delay in his responses. Overall, if you're looking for quality, professional movers in the peninsula... don't even think twice about booking TransOne. I've been recommending them to my friends and family already. read more

Oh my! Hector and his crew were awesome. We used the three person & 24ft truck package for $95 hour which worked out perfect for our move from a 2 bed house. I figured overall it was better to pay the extra $10/hr instead of the 2 person rate of $85 which would prolly take much longer. They showed on time and ready to go. Hector took a quick look around at everything we had to move so he could plan his attack and off they went. They had several wardrobe boxes for us to use and one guy quickly started assembling them for us while the others wrapped furniture. They began moving furniture into the truck while filling all the open spots with boxes so they could get as much as they could on the one trip. They recognized glass shelves and took them out to wrap separately without needing to be told. They had trouble getting a bed out of one room but warned us ahead of time and said he could disassemble part of it to get it out, which he did after a few minutes trying to do so with the bed in one piece. Soon the truck was packed end to end, top to bottom. The move on the other end went even more smoothly. We labeled most of the boxes so they knew were they all went. We would just let them know where all the other stuff went as they came out of the truck, which was all we had to do the entire time. Hector himself put the bed he partly disassembled back together. This was easily the most effortless, least stressful move we ever had. Overall, they were very friendly and professional. They whole crew was hurrying the entire time, i got tired watching them. They charged us exactly the amount and didn;t try to upsell anything or tack on any hidden fees. We were charged a flat $500 for a bit over 5 hours plus their travel time. We were so glad we hired them and gave them a well deserved tip. I would definitely recommend these guys to everyone we know. read more
