The Doctor is fine, but his staff is absolutely the most incompetent people I have ever dealt with…read more They do not know how to file insurance, they are rude, interrupting and grossly under trained. Issue #1: They LOST the photo copy of my insurance card, which is a Military ID. That is actually a felony under new Federal ID laws. Instead of calling me and explaining what happened, they billed me for the entire visit. Then while my insurance was paying them, they attempted to put my bill into collections. Issue #2: No one ever picks up the phone. I have literally sat there while it rang for over 3 minutes. I have the phone records to prove it. Issue #3: Unprofessional over the phone. Would not let me get a word in edge wise to explain the situation. In short: Avoid this office and the headache that comes with it. I am seriously contemplating filing formal complaints against them.

This means that you will usually only be in the waiting room for a few moments, you will spend less than 5 minutes in an exam room and then you will see the doctor. It also means that he will not ask a lot of extra questions. If you have questions, write them down and be ready to rattle them off. He will be thoughtful and complete in answering any questions that you bring, but he is working hard to spend only 5-10 minutes with you, so if you don't raise a concern or ask a question, he will not probe to see if anything else is going on. If you are a good advocate for yourself, he is a skillful and knowledgeable doctor.

This is a terrible place for health care. It is impossible to call them directly. You have to go…read morethrough several operators, who can never get a nurse or doctor to respond, so they leave messages. Calls that are supposed to be returned in 2 hours are never returned. You cannot get a doctor; instead, it is all NPs, which can be fine, but they are overworked and do not return calls. I had a UTI, and after 4 calls, I finally got someone to schedule a urine test, which I did on a Monday. The receptionist said the results would be in later that day, and I would get a call. No call Tuesday, so I called 3 times and got nowhere. I was told my results were at the front desk. They were not. I called 4 times on Wednesday, and several hours later received a call with a nurse with a nasty attitude, who told me my results were not in yet--3 days for a urine test? She was rude and condescending, and didn't care that I had been given incorrect information over and over. She said the results would be in today, but I'm not holding my breath. A month ago I went in for my annual Medicare checkup and they took 6 vials of blood and did all sorts of test--all good--but no one ever reached out to tell me the test results, so I had no idea if I needed to make another appointment or not. Their communication skills are abominable! I am returning to my old GP because Oak Street Health is just terrible.

They do not have a good bedside manner and most of the time you're talking to a than a doctor very unhappy with the quality of service. I've called times about one issue never get called back. My wife has had such terrible service and I'm just not the type of person to give anybody a negative review but before you schedule an appointment with Oak Street search other options because that option is not good for you senior citizen and I believe in my heart that they take advantage of all senior so this is my observation you could have your own, but I would never go back there personally and my wife won't either

They USED TO have good doctors on staff, but they recently fired nearly all of them and replaced…read morethem with younger, cheaper kid doctors. Shameful. I am following my respected, talented and more knowledgeable physician to his new practice in Frankfort. Additionally, I have had billing issues with them in the past year. First, I had to see my doctor's Nurse Practitioner (he was unavailable, and I needed to see someone), and WellGroup had her registered with my insurance company as a "specialist", so my $20 co-pay just got jacked to double at $40. I paid twice as much to see someone with less education. Does that make any sense? My second billing issue occurred in May. I had an appointment and when I arrived, I paid my $20 co-pay (or I would not have been able to see the doctor). Luckily, I paid with my debit card. A couple of months later, I received a bill for $20 with a May date of service on it. Hmmm. I ignored that statement. The following month, I received another statement. That one I did not ignore. I printed my debit card statement showing the payment made to WellGroup on the date in question, wrote a note on the statement and sent the two pieces of paper off to them to show payment had been made. A month later, I get another statement. Now, I called them. The person I spoke with admitted that they had received my payment at time of service but had somehow "miscoded" it. Fine. Whatever. Fix it. I was assured that they would. Guess what I got in the mail a week ago? A letter from a collection agency looking for that same $20. The drama never ends. WellGroup is not a good place to go to anymore. Period. They care more about money than their patient's health and well-being.
