Turns out I needed a whole new clutch kit, including flywheel. By the time I picked up the car Friday afternoon, everything was good to go. The saved the old parts for me and showed me what was wrong. They spoke the truth. I did need everything they said I did. At $2500, this was definitely not a cheap repair, but Cottman did good work with quality parts, and it was darn sure cheaper than the stealership. PS - If you see the doggies, don't worry. They're very friendly.
