Aldo did a fine job of getting us around Trapani. He is a delightful man and has many stories to tell. He took us to Segesta where there are Roman ruins, Erice where there is an old walled city including a Norman fort, and he took us to the salt flats. He was helpful showing us the small city of Trapani which isn't much of a place to visit. read more

Unfortunately for us, we met Aldo the last day we were in Trapani. He speaks great English and is a wonderfully delightful guide. He will take you everywhere you need to go and tell you all about the city. Being a native of Trapani, he knows a lot about the city and it's long, extensive history. Don't miss the Island of Mozia to learn about Italy in the 8th Century BC. Trapani is a busy city without too many places to park. I'd suggest contacting Aldo for trips and visits outside the city and staying in the historic center without a car. Otherwise you'll worry yourself to death over finding places to park. read more
