That being said, it was a fun Italian meal complete with good food, wine and excellent company. There are two sections of the restaurant and our large group occupied half of the back dining room which became a semi-private space. While most of our group ordered Antipasti, soup and salad, I just focused on my entree, a baked pasta dish (Penne Paesana mit Fleischsoße und Béchamelsoße). The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere with an interesting mix of art and seating. The focal point of the main dining room is wood beams and a series of masks on one wall. Fitting since we were there during Carnival season. Service was fine and when we had one hiccup (they prepared the wrong fish dish for a couple of our diners), they realized the mistake prior to serving the meal and corrected it quickly. While I prefer to enjoy local cuisine when I travel, this was a good option in the old city. Rating is really 3-1/2 stars.

Die Pizza fanden wir beide durchschnittlich, obwohl Romulus et Remus einen Holzofen benutzt und es ist für mich eine der besten Voraussetzungen für gute Pizza. Pastagerichte müssen noch getestet werden. Die Preise sind mittelmäßig, der Service ist schnell, flexibel und höflich, das Ambiente ist in meiner Meinung etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber sehr entspannt. Wir werden auf jeden Fall nochmal mit Freunden oder im Rahmen eines Stammtischs hingehen, allerdings werde ich niemandem das Lokal für romantische oder besondere Angelegenheiten empfehlen (für dies sind andere Italiener in Karlsruhe viel besser geeignet z.B.
