    Bruchetta

We only had one day in Venice and this place is a must. The food was delicious. We ordered drinks to start, Gin Lemon and Italian LOVE - so good! The bruschetta was so fresh and flavorful. The bread was crispy and soft, it was perfect. We ordered the grilled ribeye which came out sizzling on a cast iron. It had an amazing crust of flavor and it was tender. The gnocchi was just as delicious. The truffle and mushrooms are my favorite combination and seasoned perfectly. To end, the crema catalana was smooth and not too sweet. Highly recommend!

After our Gondola Ride, Grand Canal, St. Mark's Square and Doge's Palace excursions. We stopped by here for dinner. Their ambiance is pleasant, attentive server and foods are great as well! We ordered mixed fried seafoods with polenta. Although, we're not a big fan of polenta...their mixed fried seafoods were amazing! Their variety of pasta dishes were great as well! I just wish my pasta on my spaghetti with clams & mussels were a bit more cooked. Nonetheless, the flavors were delicious and the seafoods are so fresh! We highly recommend! 9/10

    Lobster pasta

Service is very polite. Sadly it's a classic tourist trap: very small portion, tastes ok, but water and service alone costs 10 euros on top of very inflated price. It's personally not for me

Great food, friendly service. Had menu of the day with the Venetian specialties of spaghetti with black squid sauce and cuttlefish along with Venetian liver and a salad. All of it was fresh and tasty. Maybe less cuttlefish in the pasta than some other places and the liver doesn't seem to be on many of these set menus so is a good change of pace from the fish, cutlets, calamari. Free WiFi while waiting.

Not the best place to eat. Like many others I didn't looks to see the reviews, I was being optimistic. The service was ok, not as friendly as in rest of Italy. We didn't get any bread or any cheese to go with our meal. The 12% on top of per person charge is ridiculous. I would say this one is a tourist trap. If you're going to charge so much money for such small portion than it better be of quality. On the train ride home my stomach was not feeling so well after the meal. Definitely won't be back. The only nice thing about the restaurant was the decor.

Our dinner was great. Seafood was fresh. The staff was friendly, and their recommendations were perfect. We left happy and satisfied. We hope to be back in Venice soon, and we'll definitely return to dine here. Thank you Trattoria da Rino!

Our group ordered grilled chicken and Spaghetti Alla Bolognese and came away underwhelmed. The grilled chicken was actually the better of the two entrees, as the spaghetti seemed a little stale and was certainly not homemade. The Bolognese sauce could have used more tomato. The service was fine, but this place was nothing to write home about. I wouldn't go out of my way to recommend this place to anybody visiting the Venice area.

    Delicious lobster pasta

We dined here tonight because it was open late and we saw the 4 star TripAdvisor sign posted. I was leary because the place was empty, but we were pleasantly surprised in the end. Our waitress, Stella, gave excellent recommendations. I had the lobster pasta, small serving (which was more than enough), and it was no where close to 50 euros as another reviewer commented. It was about 20 euros and worth every bit. My friends had vegetable lasagne, scampi, and shrimp pasta and we split the bruschetta. Stella was very attentive. She happily answered our questions about Italian dining etiquette and gave a great local perspective on Venice. She displays great pride in being Venetian and telling the fascinating story of this restaurant's past. Eat here.

Fresh pasta made in house with onion and anchovy sauce.

I ordered a pasta that I've never had before it had pasta made fresh in house and a sweet onion and anchovy sauce. A great choice it was very good. The fried fish plate was ok it could have used a few larger pieces of calamari or fish. They claimed to have air conditioning but it wasn't working when we were there, but they had a lot of fans that moved the air surprisingly well.

    Great meal!

Great pasta but small portions. Same with the salad. Bad chocolate mousse. Good creme brûlée.

Stumbled upon this sports store right outside of Campo Santa Maria de Formosa in Venice. Oddly…read moreenough, I had forgotten to pack a small backpack or day-bag to go hiking in. The last hike we took I basically hiked in my pretty leather bag all awhile toting it up and down the Cinque Terre trails (yes that was me in sports wear AND my travel bag!). So I knew I had to find a bag to accommodate our upcoming hikes in Germany in the next couple of weeks. It's manifest destiny I tell you that this store was right outside where we are staying!! Back packs, hiking packs, draw string bags, fanny packs....you name it they have it!! They don't carry actual sporting goods like balls and weight training gear but they do carry stylish outerwear, dry-fit clothing here from Columbia and Superdry. Also if your needing a pair of slippers (slippahs as we call in it Hawaii) aka flip-flops or zories - this is your store. Trainers aka sports shoes can also be purchased here as well as the ever so poplular trekking poles. We ended up buying a day bag as well as an Italian brand trekking/back packing bag for this trip. Awesome customer service!! The gentleman that helped us helped with the fitting of the trekking bag and was able to demonstrate all the different ways to use the bag for the different purposes it was intended for. I guess true backpacking is in the cards for me in the future.
