First of all, the restaurant was getting ready to shut down its outdoor lunch trade for the winter and the owner opened just for us: That's what I call service! The seating was literally six inches from the river; little ducks were very attentive to make sure that nothing fell off our plates into the water. The food is regional Piedmontese which is very different from what most people think of when they think "Italian." They offer an antipasti buffet which is outstanding! The house white wine was a Spumante (a dry sparkling wine) and we left feeling no pain! The prices were very reasonable.

Well, the staff and "Nona" were so accommodating, they gave us a wonderful table with amazing servers. The food is exactly as described as typical Sardinia food with the touch passion in the food. I had the house special, mussel soup, it co.e on a large plate, enough for two to make a bowl with. Next, the clamp spaghetti..the sauce was so creamy but light and bursting with flavor. The picture below is my dessert.. which, by the way, was just a perfect way to encapsulate the email. OF course, you need a Cafe correcto as an epilougue. So, if it's not on your travel route.... detour...If you live anywhere near..make it a must do and go back.

We started with the tuna tartar, it was excellent. They split the dish for us and plated it so nice, such service. I had the special monkfish pasta, minced monkfish in a tasty sauce with a perfect al dante pasta, every bite was delicious. My husband had the best pizza so far, on our trip. Perfect, chewy crust. We had ice cream with coffee poured over it, nice cap on the dinner. Than they brought out limoncello on the house, perfect ending. We would go back if we had one more night.
