It's about a good a Travelodge as you're going to get. It's quite new with friendly staff, in central location in Canterbury, giant rooms and okay bathroom. The rooms could do with better ventilation and power showers (the water pressure is too low and Canterbury has hard, calcified water, so washing long hair is kind of a nightmare). Note that there is no elevator. But knowing Canterbury, feel lucky that it even has showers at all and not just a bath. Seriously. The price is right for a no-frills stay, even if some of the walls look like they have already seen a lot of abuse. Travelodges don't exactly attract the best clientele - ahem - but I'd definitely stay again over some of the horrific B&Bs and overpriced hotels you can find in Kent. read more
