The patron was extremely friendly and helpful and what I saw of the hotel was spotless, with quirky furnishings and all the usual room facilities (excluding bath). The only two drawbacks were the traffic noise and the disappointing cooked breakfast. The other breakfast offerings were fine, though. Note that the Garden Hotel is located above the Garden Cantonese restaurant. The car park entrance is some 50m to the right of the Garden Hotel so if coming from the south west (Caernarfon) direction, you'll have to make a loop of the one-way system.

To our great amusement, when we mentioned that we had stayed in countless hotels around the world, the owner said that people who complain usually say that. Clearly, they must have some experience of complaints. Over the past few years we have travelled extensively in North, Central & South America, Europe, North & South Africa & many parts of South East Asia. Carpets holey, shower poor, tiles ungrouted, fire door fixed with cardboard. That said it was spotlessly clean so I would stay here again, just desperately needs a refurb.

We decided to book in to this hotel rather than drive home as we'd had a fantastic couple of days…read moreover in Ireland.The drinks had been flowing and rather than have a quiet crossing back decided the party would continue on the ferry.The hotel was called from Dublin and the people here are great as they said they have people do this from time to time.Good location here not that far from the ferry terminal.The owners even agreed to pick us up from the terminal.The hotel itself is a clean looking establishment with a nice feeling to it as you walk through the door.Nice comfrotable rooms with good linnen and showering facilaties.Had a good full English breakfast the next morning which was wonderful and rienforced the ideal was a good one to stay the night rather than stay off the drink and drive home.Would stay again if we were to do the same again.

The room was clean & tidy, despite a few amrks on the walls (which seem to be a common thing at travelodges). Unfortunately the shower didn't work so had to use just the bath instead. Despite being situated next to the A55 you can't hear the traffic at all over night even with the windows open. Despite the niggling items it's convenient to stay on the way to the ferry port at Holyhead.

Luckily I heard of this place. Situated near Llandberis and down a long windy 5 mph road is this gorgeous farm house. Strangely enough their website is poor..yes we know it's a place to stay..but did you know that anyone can pay £8 to use the sauna and pool? Or even better £19.95 to use the pool, sauna AND enjoy a two course meal after? So we arrived around 11am while the kids were off school and was greeted by the lovely receptionist who id spoken to via the phone previously. After checking in, we were provided towels and directions how to reach the pool. The changing rooms were TINY..one small cubicle, a sink and a fold down baby chance unit..stalk like I had to balance on one leg to undress while trying to remove my knickers..without dropping my clothes on the sodden floor!! Annoyance cast aside we went to the sauna while the pool quietened down . Both sauna and pool were not the largest but did the job. After RE dressing we walked into the restaurant where we were informed it was busy. Graciously a waiter led us to a quiet conservatory where we could eat privately. The menu consisted of veggie risottos, steaks, seafood and other posh pub grub. We all chose the eggs Benedict with smoked haddock for starters, for mains I had the seafood tagliatelle , while my mom and sis chose the fish and chips. The starter arrived promptly, well seasoned cooked and perfect presentation...but we were left for awhile afterwards , no one checked about our situation or our meal.. Mains arrived in good proportion, however mine was very weighed down with mayonnaise like sauce..the girls enjoyed their hand cooked chips and lightly battered fish . Overall for £20 each for a swim, sauna, and two course meal I find this ideal. But why not advertise this on their website?? Also they need to increase their changing room size..and slightly modernise it all.

In general the building seems well maintained, but some of the public areas were being patched and re-painted whilst I was there. My room was spacious and comfortable with free DVD movie rental which is a nice touch. The cooked breakfast was better than most, although 3 staff members were chatting loudly by the entrance which is unacceptable at the level they are trying to pitch, although the rest of the time they were generally very good. Bar snacks are good, but the food and drinks are relatively expensive: expect dinner in the restaurant to cost £30+ per head. Overall though I'd return: especially if I wanted a quiet nice weekend away with a friend. It is a lovely quiet, calm rural location.

My wife and I spent a very pleasant night here last December, we couldn't afford more than one…read morenight as this is a very high class and very expensive place to stay. It is country house hotel located out in the country in central Anglesey and is as quiet and tranquil as you could want. When you walk up the sweeping stair case and take in the decor you realise that this is a high class establishment. The rooms include all the facilities you would expect with four poster beds available in some rooms. The hotel also offers a well appointed spa complete with pool, jacuzzi, sauna, gym etc which unfortunately we didn't have time to visit. We were offered the choice of either dinner in the dining room which requires formal evening wear or the more informal choice of the Cafe Wine bar. As I didn't have a tux with me (actually I don't have a tux full stop) we opted for the wine bar. This was located in what appeared to be an old stable and was very nicely renovated. It was surprisingly quiet (it's open to non-residents) but the food was fantastic and not too expensive. We both opted for an award winning kerala beef curry dish which is highly recommended if it's still on the menu. If you've got cash to spare or if you can find a special deal (which was what we did) this is a fantastic place to spend a weekend.

What a beautiful location with the best setting and views in the area but unfortunately is poorly…read moreran by a incompetent manager that doesn't bring the venue to its full potential. I've traveled all over the world and been in some amazing places and this place has the ability to be a top ranking venue. The manager is very rude , with little guidance she could train her staff better with the basics of clearing up tables that were over spilled with empty glasses and dirty plates rather than sit around a table her self with friends just looking. Service for food is meant to end at 9pm as advertised but can stop at 7 if she feels like it. If not eating by your self be prepared for your party's food to come out at different times. My partner had finished her food by the time mine came out and the quality was just awful unfortunately. Look at my other reviews and I'll only post an accurate review depending on my experience. Maybe if a new manger would be appointed one day by the company it could have a better chance of coming up to its full potential.
