The rooms are significantly larger than what I've come to expect from a hotel, especially one with the amenities and service provided by the Didsbury. Most rooms will come with a standalone bathtub in the room along with a fully kitted out bathroom. There is something a bit decadent about grabbing a drink, flicking on the tv or the music player, and relaxing in a hot bath (with bubbles of course...what's life without them?). Yes Du Hy, I know what you are going to say, but so what? I'm all about enjoying life :-P For those opting out of the bath, there shower is massive and powerful enough to make you feel it without knocking you down. The beds are incredibly soft and filled with goose down. I happen to be slightly allergic to goose feathers but I'll take the irritation for the sheer comfort provided by this bed. Coming from someone who shipped his bed over from the US, it takes a lot to impress me. I've asked for foam pillows before, and the hotel staff spared no effort to track some down and deliver them to my room within the hour (despite the request being made at 2am). The breakfast is excellent as well. A full continental breakfast is laid out every morning starting at 7, and you can order a hot breakfast ranging from a full English or Irish fry up to Eggs Benedict to pretty much anything you want as long as the ingredients are in the kitchen. I usually spoil myself with an Eggs Benedict. The eggs are cooked to perfection, firm with just a little bit of yolk, the english muffin is correctly browned to be both crispy and chewy, and the strips of parma ham add enough salt to the dish to satisfy. If you are craving salmon, they will happily switch it in for the ham. Overall, I will definitely be back agin come November and I recommend it to anyone in the area. The two main drawbacks are that it is about 15 minutes outside Manchester city proper and the rooms are around £100-£125/night at least. You can occasionally get cheaper rates at about £80/night which is pretty good deal for the quality of hotel.

The area is very quiet, with nearby restaurants, a supermarket and a business park, plus is a 20-mins walk from the local high street. The is free secure on-site parking and excellent Wi-Fi in the rooms and public areas. My room was large, comfortable and very quiet. The staff were lovely. In short, this is my hotel of choice when I'm working in the area. Very recommended!

We stayed two nights, Friday and Saturday We experienced the friendliest of service from start to finish. Really cozy and warmly decorated common rooms for reading, happy hour, socializing, etc. Great breakfast! Even better room service. We enjoyed their room service food so much that we had them pack us a 'to go' for the train back to London. The rooms are on the smaller side, but very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Simple and very clean. The town of Didsbury is only a short walk away and has everything you need for a lovely spring weekend. We will def. be back the next time we head to the Theatre of Dreams. :)

The high tea consists of scones with cream and jam, mousse, various desserts including brownies, lemon squares, mini victorian cakes, and macarons, and 2-3 varieties of finger sandwiches. The staff are very considerate and kind, and the whole experience is lovely. The price is reasonable, especially for high tea. I would probably visit again for another tea celebration!

Ordering the food was a little trickier but once you could finally get to speak to the person who deals with it then it was fine. This took three tries of calling but the staff were friendly so it wasn't too bad. The room they gave was plenty big enough and the doors opened onto the beautifully kept outside area. They had set two tables up for us to eat. There was plenty of food and they catered for allergies though they could make little signs for the food that's free from, just so there's no confusion and it isn't eaten by others mistakenly. The quality of the food was ok and I'm not sure the cakes were made in house, they looked like they were brought in, butthen again you're only paying £7.50.

Firstly the rooms are clean and modern with big king sized beds. The showers are to die for and the two reception girls can't do enough for the visitors. If you sit in reception long enough they will offer to make you a coffee or tea. (We never got that at the Marriot or Hilton). The hotel is next to the Bulls Head Pub, which is also a really quite decent place to end the night. Highly recommended 5 star service at 2 star price.

It is situated right in the centre of all the commodities which is brilliant and also next to the motorway! So everything you need is on your doorstep here, if you want a nice meal, there is plenty of restaurants to choose from or you can go cinema or bowling. What is great about this place is that it is just outside Manchester, so you do not pay city prices and it is only ten minutes in the car. BRILLIANT

Had to stay in a room that hovered around a cosy 30-31 degrees Celsius day and night. The thermostat reading is from 3:30 am. The windows only open a sliver ( i suspect because they don't want anyone jumping when the guests' brains finally liquefy from being stuck in a brick oven and they seek to actually escape the hell in which they now find themselves). On the bright side, the staff are very kind and apologetic -- they should be commended for fielding what I'm sure are a ceaseless barrage of complaints only ending once the guests succumb to heat stroke. So, in summary, stay here if you wish to fulfill a fantasy of knowing what a slow broiled potato must feel like.
