The room was the honeymoon suite and had a four poster (not sure of cost as it was paid for as a gift), and beautiful en suite. It was very well presented, opulent and impeccably clean. They left us a half bottle of champagne and chocolates on the pillows - but I think that was due to the circumstances more than anything!! Normally the rooms range in price anything from £50 to approx £120 and are bookable by phone or internet. Great value. The staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. Location wise the hotel is a stone throw from Tamworth town centre and the bars, pubs and restaurants. Also its set next to the grounds of the original Norman castle and wihich in itself makes it both a historical and very romantic setting. Stay here for a romantic break, for a sightseeing trip, to explore the castle and grounds, or as a base to visit nearby Warwickshire and its beautiful countryside for long walks. Whilst in Tamworth do also check out the Snowdome, for skiing and tobogganing, the castle gardens and grounds for peaceful relaxation, the Castle itself for a bit of history and some ghost hunting!!!. There is also a multi-plex cinema, bowling alley and the usual selection of pubs/places to eat. Note- if you want a lively hotel teeming with nightlife - probably not for you.

They even helped me keep track of the groom before the wedding so we didn't bump in to each other. The room for the wedding was beautifully decorated with our decorations we could not have done it better ourselves. Our toastmaster Phil was so helpful and thanks to him our day went perfect. Our wedding breakfast and evening buffet was delicious and presented lovely with all our guests dietary requirements met. We could not have asked for a more perfect wedding day and it was all thanks to the staff.

The rooms were clean but basic, if you just need a bed for the night then you could do worse and at least the train station is right across the way and there is a bar and restaurant attached (The Euston Way). The rates are pretty good even last minute so its a good option if you are stuck for somewhere. Staff seem very helpful and apparently the rooms are quite quiet until the buses start early in the mornings.

The entrance is around the back - through the White Horse car park adjoining where you can get breakfast and dinner. If you stay at the Premier Inn here, ask for a room roadside. Not intuitive, but much quieter than overlooking the entrance, pub car park and playground! We stayed here on a Saturday night, it was a bit rowdy outside but reasonable value at £84.

this is on the new area built along the new road to link Crewe and Weston so people can bypass the…read morebusy Crewe arms roundabout. right outside this brand new hotel there is a chinese takeaway, a pub, a subway and a coop shop. the hotel itself with being new is sparkly clean and modern which is always nice - there's nothing worse than a tired looking hotel. the staff are really efficient checking in and are friendly and welcoming. there isn't an option for breakfast as they don't have the facilities here but they do provide continental breakfast should you want it - but there is always subway across the road if you feel the need for that bacon buttie in the morning!! The rooms are lovely i must say. the beds were comfy and the duvets and pillows fluffy and soft and sheets clean and pressed. there are extra pillows available should you want them and i believe that reception deal with any requests such as ironing boards etc if there isnt already 1 in your room. the bathrooms weren't huge but if you are staying here it is more than likely because you are visiting someone at the uni or here on business so its unlikely that you are here to spend a lot of time in your hotel room. the bathroom itself though again was freshly cleaned and sparkling (im sure helped somewhat by the newness of it) but i was really pleased with the facilities on offer. the rooms on a whole are part of the hotel standard and the chain across the uk so it isnt particularly characteristic and you're not going to get a themed room or somewhere with amazing ornate features - but the value for what you pay for is fantastic. parking is right outside the hotel and there is plenty of space and it is well lit and the hotel is really easy to find too. really recommended for staying somewhere on a budget (and it is right by crewe hall so if you are a guest at a function or wedding or something there then consider this as a cheap alternative for accommodation!)

Never really had much of a problem with Travelodges in the past and having stayed here before I…read moreknew what to expect but little did I know..... First off the location is great for anything going on in Wolverhampton City Centre not to far to walk. Arrived 30 minutes before the check in time but was allowed to check in early and get into our room. Arrived to our room but there was no door number on it (see picture) so filling in the gap between 2 and 4 we guessed this was our room. Booked a family room as there was 3 of us on this trip, I open the door to find a double bed, a single bed and a mattress. All of these were really uncomfortable and the double bed with 2 people on, you role into the middle due to a massive dip. We settle in for a couple of drinks and stick the TV on which looks as if it is about to fall of the wall due to the bracket (see pics) We then notice mold and damp all around the window absolutely terrible stuff, we could of asked to be moved but couldn't be bothered with the hassle of unpacking and moving. Went out to a concert and then we come back get something to eat and hit the hay. All night I could hear people in the corridors talking loudly like it was a party all night long, then the room next door are shouting. 2:30am I go to the reception where a specky yam yam is working, I ask him if he can do anything regarding the noise from next door and he laughs and see's what he can do. Anyhow get off to sleep for a few hours and then awaken. Go to open the blind on the window and it is dripping with condensation (the blind) all over the window seal. Also no free Wi-Fi thieves! Next time I will pay the extra and stay in either the Premier Inn or if I am feeling flush the Novotel.

As with all Travelodge's the rooms are nice and comfortable. A cosy little bar out back serves food and as yet they haven't been inspected by Wolves Council for their Scores on the door rating yet. I'd recommend this place for visitors to the City.

Breakfast was a generous buffet of continental and full English foods. Staff on reception, in the bar and in the restaurant were pleasant and helpful. The only negatives were the high price of broadband and the absolutely ridiculous minibar prices. Overall, while this hotel has a rather corporate feel and the location is convenient rather than attractive, it is a pleasant place to stay in Wolverhampton with good facilities.

Everything in the…read moreroom and public areas looked clean and fairly new, room was big and comfortable and bed was fine. Check in was simple, and it was no problem shortening our stay by a day. ("Sure, just check out by 14:00"). Lots of business types while we were there, plus a hen party in the bar our first night. No noise in the room though. Our wifi was free, too. As I remember, they had a free basic option (which was a fine speed for web surfing) and a paid faster internet ( which you'd really only need to stream movies, do lots of up/downloading, etc...) The reason I probably wouldn't return is that it's not the best area. The hotel is near the police station and sirens were frequent. Walking from the train station (about an 8 min walk) watched a guy launch his newspaper into the bushes on the side of the walking path. Not an area I would want to walk around at night. On the plus side, the tram to Birmingham stops very close to the hotel. Not very many restaurants around if you don't have a car to get around.

It's a sizeable hotel (with nearly 150 rooms) with all the ancillary facilities you'd expect: restaurant, gym, spa, conference rooms. A little dated on the exterior, but the interior was relatively modernised and it's a bit of a maze with the 'ground floor' facilities being located on multiple levels up and down staircases and lifts. Owned by the hotel chain Best Western, it's much more expensive than the average Premier Inn - a double room with breakfast included was £72, yet I didn't feel as though I was getting more quality. That being said, the parking was free and ample, staff were friendly, rooms were spotless, beds were comfortable and the breakfast options expansive and tasty. It was convenient for where we needed to be that evening but I'd prefer to stay somewhere equally as nice, but better value for money.

I left my glasses on the table at dinner an the waitress ran them up to my room for me, which was a nice surprise. The front desk staff was also top notch and fetched me a European to UK power adapter as I had managed to forget mine. The gal even remembered my name when i returned it the next day. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. Breakfast was a buffet and somewhat average. Not good - not bad. Adequate for our needs. All in all, a good stay with adequate and clean facilities.

For around £30 a night you can expect spacious, well heated rooms with an ensuite bathroom, TV with Freeview, teas and coffees in the room and warm, friendly service from the management. We stayed here for 2 nights. We were well fed and well looked after. The staff are so friendly and go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. The reception and dining area are quaint and cosy, just like you'd want out of a countryside ranch. Loved the old fashioned patterned decor in the breakfast area! I would five star the breakfasts alone since they kept us fuelled up for most of the day - the staff cook up a storm and keep you stocked up on cups of tea. Well worth the money and perfect if you're planning on going through to Stoke or Alton Towers since it's only a few miles down the road. A great place to escape the busy nearby attractions - a slice of serenity for a fraction of the price.
