Eggs Custard Tarts, look and taste like Portuguese Egg Tart... flaky pastry, sweet custard. Yummy! Got 2 orders to take home!

We arrived on Father's day at 10am. The full menu was not available until 11am. Our daughter had a flight so we started with the dim sum menu. Baked BBQ pork buns... scrumptious, the rabbit ear har gow, Sui Mai, shrimp & chive buns, Jade ribbon noodles w,steam spare ribs, Amber glazed Phoenix claws (They have fancy names on the menu) and Lychee shrimp balls. The Lychee shrimp balls were delicious and so beautifullypresented. See the pictures. Near 11am we ordered a dry beef chow fun. It was fresh and good. This was our 1st visit but we will be back to try more of the dishes on their menu. Service is good, food was announced when delivered to the table. We thoroughly enjoyed everything. Watching other diners having the table side Peking duck carved makes us want to go back soon!

Food was fantastic. I dont remember each of the items we ordered but I remember all of them being excellent. Worth a try but keep in mind its a bit pricey

I had high hopes for this place. I drive by it often and it's full of people. It's the old IHOP building. Service is quite pleasant and there's only a $15 corkage. Beautiful interior. We preordered the $88 Peking Duck as recommended when we called to reserve. What a disappointment - dry and little flavor. The sweet and sour fish didn't taste fresh and was too sweet. Eggplant sautéed was pretty good . Fried rice scallops - where were the scallops? So disappointed .

(Hidden) Treasure! Came here hungry on a Saturday evening with the girlfriend. We called ahead and managed to get on the list for 6:30, which was a good call, as they were pretty busy. The food was great, we had the orange chicken and the stir fry green beans and eggplant from the regular menu, both of which were well portioned and delicious (we couldn't stop). We also got some dim sum: spicy wontons, pork/shrimp siu mai, shrimp hargow, and crab/pork soup dumplings. The dim sum was perfect, big size, and well filled (not just dough). We were also one of the few non-Asians there, if that tells you how authentic/delicious this is. Docking a star because we were mostly forgotten about and had to search out and flag someone down to take our first order, to ask for the dim sum menu, to take that dim sum order, to get boxes, and to get the check. There was no "how's your meal" or "can I get you anything else". I'd usually dock more for that, but the food made up for it.

Nice Chinese restaurant local place! Servers are really nice, as is the manager. We got to sit in one of the tables in the middle section and the lighting is really nice. Feels almost like a private room. Their private room seats more and I think there is a $1k minimum. Tried some new dishes today: the mapo tofu was a hit and the crispy chicken and ho fun with beef. We also really liked the egg custard tarts. The soup dumplings are not our favorite - almost no soup inside. Our new spot for family meals.

Belmont finally has the upscale Chinese dining spot it deserves, and Treasure absolutely delivers. From the moment you walk in, the space sets the tone -- a dramatic charred-wood feature wall with a sculptural pine tree, a stone foo dog, and a trickling water feature under the backlit "Treasure 中餐厅" logo. It feels more like a design-forward Hong Kong tea house than a strip-mall restaurant. We went for the dim sum tasting box and it was the clear highlight. A twelve-compartment wooden presentation arrived with lotus-leaf sticky rice, siu mai topped with tobiko, har gow, shrimp dumplings, sesame balls, a pillowy lotus-paste bun, crispy taro puffs, egg tarts, a golden baked BBQ pork bun (bolo bao style), and a beautifully crunchy rice-crusted shrimp ball. Each piece was visibly handmade and plated on its own ceramic dish with shiso leaves -- this is dim sum treated like kaiseki. The baked custard-topped pork bun deserves its own paragraph. The crust shattered into buttery golden crumbs with a taro-like filling that was sweet, savory, and not overly dense. The shrimp ball wrapped in red tobiko was another standout -- crisp, briny pop on the outside, juicy whole shrimp inside. The menu also leans into regional Sichuan and home-style dishes, with clearly marked spice levels (one or two chili icons) on items like Sour & Spicy Lotus Root Slices, Stir-Fried String Bean with Eggplant, and Sichuan-style Fish-Fragrant Eggplant with house garlic sauce. Seasonal greens include A-choy and yu choy sum, which is a nice touch you don't see at most American Chinese spots. Service was attentive, the tea service came in a lovely clay pot, and the pacing was perfect. Prices feel fair for the quality and artistry on the plate. If you're on the Peninsula and craving elevated dim sum or Chinese food that actually photographs as well as it tastes, Treasure is the move -- go now before the waits get unreasonable.

Excellent place for upscale Chinese food, especially the delicious cooked duck! Busy on a Saturday at lunchtime, but we had pre-reserved the duck. The ambiance here is amazing from the moment you walk in, with koi fish papier-mache hanging from the ceilings, and the service matches that too. Our duck was sliced tableside and served on a special plate with sides and thin wrappers, and it was absolutely delicious. Our eggplant was great too, although I wish the skin was softer. Surprisingly, the dim sum was probably the weakest part of our meal, I would probably skip it next time. Great place for an upscale meal though!

The place is very nice and airy and the hostess was super nice. We got there at about 1230 today and she told us it would be about a 10 min wait. We got pretty lucky as everyone after us without a reservation was 30+ minutes! Our waiter was helpful in that anything I asked (like what's the diff between rabbit shrimp dumpling and regular - being that one is shaped like a bunny haha) took our order and repeated to make sure he didn't miss anything. But that was the last time we ever saw him (until it was check time). We had asked for forks and tea and we had to ask a few other people to please help us get them. As someone else mentioned the soup dumplings were definitely underwhelming - very little soup or flavor. Most of the stuff, except the steamed sampler (claw/tripe/ribs) actually felt a bit under seasoned. All in all - the food is alright but nothing stood out. The duck looked good - tho we didn't get it.

Treasure is an upscale Chinese restaurant on El Camino Real in the City of Belmont. Their menu offers dim sum, Cantonese cuisine, and various regional dishes. We were a party of 3 for lunch on a Wednesday. At 12-noon, the place was about 60-70% full, with plenty of 4 & 6 seat tables. They also have several round tables that seat up to 8. Also, a huge table is in a private dining room in the back. The interior is beautiful and elegant. There's colorful fish suspended from the ceiling. Also, you can watch them make dim sum thru a window. We looked over the lunch menu and the main menu, and ordered these items.... - Jade Shrimp Dumplings (4) - Custard Egg Tarts (3) - Golden-Silver Turnip Cakes (6) - Pork Soup Dumplings (6) - Jade Ribbon Noodles w/ Steamed Spare Ribs - Chinese Kale - House Chow Mein ------------------------------------ Total w/ tax= $90.81 All the food was good. The presentation was well done. The only dish that didn't seem right was the "Ribbon Noodles w/ Steamed Spare Ribs." It should be called "Steamed Spare Ribs on Ribbon Noodles." Because that's how it's served. It's a mountain of steamed riblets over a bed of ribbon noodles. So why 4-stars? There were some service issues. I believe our server was still in training. He brought the wrong dishes to our table, then seemed unsure of what to do. The manager came to our table and assured us that our dishes would be correct. There were no more problems after that. Overall, a good first time experience. It was nice to see this place and have a casual lunch. I would love to return and experience the dinner service. Great food quality and presentation. Free parking

Rabbit shaped coconut jello. Had almond jello consistency. I think crush flowers on top. Yum!

We got there right when it opened at 10am. Poor guy didn't even have his uniform on. The place is upscale with simple clean decor. It was a slow start with one guy working the front, back and in between. Again, it was a slow start so it too a while for the food. Food was really good. Only dim sum until 11am for full menu and i guess full kitchen to be opened. I saw tables for 4, 6 and round tables for anything over that. When we left, it was fully staffed with the front person and waiters. There was only one Latino bus person and he worked the hardest. We will be back to try the full kitchen items. Oh, prices are super high but food was good.

We had a feast Peking Duck was the show.... Nice flavor and the duck was so juicy!!! The whole Snapper Fish was really really good too. Now it might be weird to get Dim Sum at dinner but it was freshly made and was so yummy. The place was so elegant and beautiful. The decorative outside the restaurant was very creative and beautiful also. Outstanding service from the staff. Ken and Jimmy were great!!! We also got to meet the owner Mickey and her guest Chef Martin Yan!!! Overall Amazing!!! A Must Try!!!

Salt & pepper popcorn chicken- great value and big portion for an appetizer. Flavor was tasty and meat was not dry. It had the perfect crunch and wasn't too oily. I'd get this again. Steamed scallops with garlic vermicelli- I tried eating it little by little from the shell and I wasn't impressed. It tastes bland. However, for second serving, I ate it in one big bite and the flavors blended much better. I would not mind getting this again. Hot & sour soup- Second time getting this and it's consistently good. Seasonal Greens: A-choy- I love how the leaves soak up all the flavor stalk still has a nice crunch. I'd get it again but would probably try their other veggies before circling back. Chrysanthemum jello- This was complimentary dessert. It was light and not too sweet. A perfect way to end the meal. Service was great and friendly. They even packed up our leftovers for us. There were 3 of us and we had plenty of leftovers, except for the scallops. I looked around after our meal and they have a beautiful private room that I was told seats 20 people. It even has its own lounge area. I'll definitely be back.

It's eh, kinda priced up though for sure…read more My go to is a baked dish. The quality kinda varies- the baked fish fillet with white cream sauce was good. Cheesy, tender, egg fried rice was flavorful. Portion kinda small, as the dish was very shallow. Not a lot of rice. Kinda off tho when it was the first dish that arrived to the table and it was lukewarm. I find a baked dish is typically always last since it needs time to bake, and is served scalding hot imo. That's when you know it's done right. This wasn't that. Suss The baked pork chop with cheese and tomato sauce was so disappointing and super greasy/heavy. The meat was chewy and had an unpleasant flavor. The tomato sauce was not good either. The shrimp wonton noodle soup I sadly cannot recommend, the filling was not good. Had more pork than shrimp consistency. I did not enjoy the flavor. Not aromatic. I will say, the noodles were great quality. Thin, bouncy, correct texture. What you would hope for. The soup was not good. The roast duck was good, with tender meat and fatty skin. Flavorful with the plum sauce. The fish congee was good, though a bit too runny imo once cooled down. The fried donut (you tiao) was crunchy and very doughy. Would be nice if they could slice it. I can agree with everyone about their thoughts on the 18% mandatory tip fee, it's crazy lol. Mandatory service fee for hk service (which is minimal service). It was so hard to flag down the waiter for refilling water, or to get more napkins. The place was empty and they were on their phone the whole time. Waiting for that automatic tip. Whatever man.

King Chuan has a detailed menu, with several dishes having a brief description. I ordered Wor Won Ton Soup. I asked for dark meat chicken only. They said "no problem." The Wor Won Ton Soup was very good. The soup had napa cabbage, carrots and broccoli. The chicken was tender and easy to eat. It also had pieces of beef and a few shrimp. The broth was light, and not salty. I also ordered the "Hot Dragon Chicken Wings." With a name like that, I expected very spicy wings. The wings were not spicy at all. In fact, I had to add salt to bring the flavor out. I was puzzled as to why these fried chicken wings have a mild flavor if they're served with spicy seasonings. No Wok fire/heat evident in any of the entree's and everything was a gluey, flavorless mess. The noodles for the Lo Mein seemed honestly just spaghetti. The orange chicken was dry/old, almost no breading, and honestly didn't taste orangey at all. The kung pao looked like what my 7 year old could have made (when we was seven). More like boiled chicken topped with raw Safeway vegetables, whole peanuts, and a soupy cornstarch soy sauce afterthought. The kicker was they do not have any house made sauces, so if you want good mustard or something edible for dipping - welcome to shitty packet hell as they refused to provide those (if they existed). I'm curious what they do when you're in-house but if I''m paying for the same food I'm not sure why I wouldn't get something besides high-fructose corn syrup garbage stamped out in a factory two years ago. This reflects lack of care to the product and customer experience. Highly unfortunate for an establishment that used to be "decent" as I said.

In a few spoonfuls, the soft tofu did taste burned to me, but I could overlook it mostly. Comforting to eat on a cold day. Chive Pie - 3/5 Impressively huge. However, because they are big, thin, and flimsy, you cannot easily eat this as a handheld. Not crispy or thick enough a pancake to hold the delicious eggs & chives filling. Cumin Lamb - 3/5 My friend seemed to enjoy the lamb, but she didn't eat any of the greens, telling me they were for seasoning purposes. I ate the greens, but this dish came out fast and wasn't warm or heated enough. Beijing Mu Shu Pork - 5/5 I enjoyed the taste and texture of this mix of pork, egg, wood ear, cucumber, and golden needles. We were forewarned that this dish doesn't come with pancakes, like typical mu shu entrees do. We received a complimentary shredded potato chilled appetizer (4/5) and warm sesame balls dessert (3/5). Sesame balls seemed overfried. Restaurant has its own dedicated parking lot, so servers are expecting you to enter from the door closest to that. We entered through the street main entrance, which caught them by surprise. Restaurant appears to be a converted house, so you can dine in various little rooms. Restaurant was cold inside. It seemed that one door would not necessarily stay shut. I also don't think the heat was turned up. I felt like all of us were wearing coats. I chose most of the dishes and let my friend order in Mandarin Chinese. The chef came out a couple times to check on us, but primarily interacted with her in Chinese.
