One Star - Very Disappointing Experience Unfortunately, my family and I had a very unpleasant experience at Treasure House Mall, and we will not be returning. When we first entered the store, we were warmly greeted by a sweet elderly woman who welcomed us, held my daughter's tiny dog, and even encouraged us to explore downstairs. Based on that interaction, we believed having the small dog was not an issue. Shortly after, another staff member approached us. This staff member was very heavy set Hispanic man. He so very rudely told us we had to leave immediately because of the dog. His tone was smug, dismissive, and completely unprofessional, which was especially upsetting given that we had already been welcomed moments earlier. There was no polite explanation or attempt to resolve the situation--just an abrupt demand that we leave. This incident was even more frustrating because just a few days prior, the same employee told us we only had 15 minutes to shop when there was still over an hour left before closing. At this point, the repeated negative encounters with the same individual made us feel singled out and unwelcome. As Black customers who live in Barstow and have shopped here frequently, it's incredibly disappointing to feel treated this way. Whether intentional or not, the inconsistency and hostility in how we were handled came across as discriminatory and left a very bad impression. Treasure House Mall seriously needs to address this employee's behavior. Rudeness, inconsistency, and lack of professionalism drive loyal local customers away. Sadly, our family will no longer be supporting this business. read more

3.7 stars. The thrift store portion is unattractive and messy. We didn't make a purchase. The antique mall next door is very interesting and thoughtfully merchandised. I would have loved to stay, shop, and drop some cash but it was 108° outside and these businesses do not have adequate cooling. It was absolutely awful. I usually take lots of photos in antique malls but I wasn't enjoying myself this time due to the discomfort, so I didn't take any. Me and another person in my party got lightheaded and left. It was a bummer. Like, how are you in the middle of the desert without proper air conditioning for your customers, let alone your poor employees? read more

This store is cute. It's unorganized, so you'll have to delve into each aisle to find stuff. Their prices are cheap. Great service from the kind cashier. read more

Stopped by here on Sunday May 16, 2021 to look for some treasures. They've got lots of items and my girlfriend wanted to stop in here as she follows them on Facebook. She found a few treasures to bring home. It's a nice big store with lots of items but it was a little hot inside as I don't think they had the air conditioning on. read more

Since my first review I've been back to this store and made a couple of purchases. The experience was the same, I was allowed to browse throughout the entire place without being bothered or made to feel pressured or awkward. There's so much stuff available in this mall that it takes me a long time to go through and make sure I've seen everything. Prices are excellent. I asked and verified they can have furniture delivered. The woman at the checkout was very kind and insisted on giving me a couple of pieces of candy that were for sale when I mentioned I needed to get to the grocery store as I'd been there too long and my blood sugar was dropping too low. She kindly but firmly didn't take no for answer and I really appreciated that. read more

Coming from San Diego, this place is EXACTLY like the Newport Avenue Antique Center over in Pacific Beach. Its an indoor swapmeet like "mall" but without the owners. There are always extra markdowns on each section of the "mall", so you'll most likely be saving even more when you hit the register. There's always a unique find when I randomly visit the area. Look, I even found a "rare" Filipino spoon and fork while I was there. No filipino house is complete without one! Oh, the novelties! read more

What's to say? This place is a lot of fun. A consignment shop with lots of vendors and lots to choose from. Sometimes you see some products that are brand new and made to look like antiques, so keep an eye out for those if you are looking for something truly antique, but seeing has to how this is a consignment shop, people generally have the right to sell whatever they want. The staff are very nice, friendly, and extremely helpful. Don't be afraid to ask one of them to contact a seller if you'd like to negotiate a deal! They are always willing to help. I can say that I personally have found a few great gems for myself here and I am looking forward to going back. read more

Treasure House Mall - Has something for everyone. Who ever thought up the idea to have merchandise for all . This store has it from the practical to the collector item's. Simply amazing. I'ts true thy have a huge selection of old stuff, and some of them are antiques but the prices they ask for are ridiculous. Some days ago I went there to search a chest and they sure had but for $45dlls. It was not an antique so I decide to go to wal mart. I pay just $5 dlls more for a brand new. read more

I would steer clear of this place if you're looking to sell anything. My mother sold some items through the shop several years ago and misplaced the checks (which, incidentally, Becky knew had never been cashed). She asked Becky to reissue the checks, which she did in July. The checks were deposited and then my mother passed away and we were advised by the bank the checks had bounced because the account they had been issued on was closed. When I contacted Becky to see if she would reissue the checks to my father and cover the bank fees, she indicated I needed to provide her proof of the bounced checks and said the account had been closed after the checks were issued due to a fraud problem. I questioned her at that time why she didn't notify everyone who had outstanding checks on that account that it had been closed, and she said she thought she had. In any event, I provided what she asked for, and then she came back and requested a death certificate as proof my mother had passed. I provided that as well, but when she reissued the check, it did not include the bank fees. When I called her about it she said she had told my mom the account was being closed when she gave her the checks (not true) and when I pointed out she had changed her story from the first time we talked, after an unpleasant exchange about the whole matter, she said "so take me to small claims court". I don't have the time to take someone to small claims court, but I do think everyone should know that they engage in dishonorable business practices, which is why I'm posting this review. read more
