There are always surprises when you're gutting someone else's build, so it was reassuring to have people on the ground who were knowledgable, experienced, and honest. Communication with Chris was great. And budget-wise, we ended up pretty close to where we expected to land. Yes, there were change orders; but they were almost always due to expanding the scope of the job -- and not because we were being gouged. We also really liked that RR has their own cabinet shop, and a crew who has been with the company long-term. Lastly, and people don't usually write this, but it's important: they're all nice guys. Carlos, our main point of contact, has always been responsive and a pleasure to communicate with the whole time, and his subcontractors have been consistently kind and hardworking too. Initial communication was efficient and they came out to give us an estimate. We were considering some options to update our ceiling. After receiving their initial estimate, we asked Carlos for an estimate of the other option we discussed. After more than a week went by, I emailed to check in on that estimate. Carlos stated he had forgot and was out of town and that he would get that estimate to me in a few days. Unfortunately that estimate never came. Maybe they were too busy? Maybe they forgot about us? Maybe they didn't want the job? We sent them another email apologizing if we had bad timing and caught them when they were too busy. No reply at all. Hopefully they are still in business. Our neighbor in interested in some kitchen improvements and was looking for a referral. We would have loved to refer them again however at this point we are unsure what their schedule is or if they are even in business anymore. Hopefully they are all right however in the nature of good business, you'd think they would follow up with a loyal client if there was a emergency or unexpected interruption of their business. We still believe this is a good company and may consider them for a future project however we may ask if it's during a time that works for them.

Capstone was fantastic to work with. I initially started the roofing project by collecting 10+…read morebids. I eventually narrowed those bids down to 3. From this point it really came down to attitude and it wasn't even a fair fight. Dave Mack had an amazing attitude and personality to boot. He was attentive to the details and went over everything with me multiple times, to make sure I was comfortable. Dave was also present on the job site to work with me through all of my questions - I'd like to think I'm pretty hands-on. For my house, we went with the architectural shingles with the weathered wood coloring. We replaced my roof caps with a crisp bronze color that makes everything pop. We replaced all of the metal pieces with the same bronze color, spray painted the old cast iron pipes and even gave my furnace exhaust a new top. There were only 3 vents that stayed black. This was by choice, as a few years of the weather elements would have left these chipping and would require more maintenance. Dave went over all of these design choices with me to formulate the best possible solution for my house - one that we would mutually agree upon. It's worth noting that the entire job took roughly 4-5 hours to complete. Regarding pricing, Capstone was not the cheapest, nor were they remotely close to the most expensive. You get what you pay for and in the end, I received excellent service, an efficient job and a beautiful looking roof/house. I believe I was given a fair price, great service and high quality workmanship to boot. In closing, I'm writing this review, not to simply recommend that you use Capstone, but that you give them a chance. The amount of dirt they removed to get the forms laid and ready should have taken days if not weeks alone. We were very happy with the process, price, and final project.
