The fish and chips was pretty good not the best I've ever had, but not the worst. my daughter's nachos would have been good, but the chips were very stale. There literally was only one other customer in there, and he arrived after I did, so we all got the full attention of the bartender. That's a plus I guess. However, I'm giving it one star because the toilets are among the worst I've ever seen. My wife reported that one of the toilets in the women's bathroom was broken, i.e. the toilet bowl itself was broken. In the men's toilet there was vomit under the toilet seat - this wasn't late at night but about 7pm before things were busy. The door to the stall in the men's toilet doesn't close properly. All of this leads me to think the owners and staff just don't care about maintaining clean and comfortable bathroom facilities for their customers.

We are glad that we went to Sean's pub in the evening. We had wanted to hear some live Irish music and lo and behold they had it the night we went. They have live music on Mondays and Fridays. The atmosphere was quaint with a warm feel. The food and service were exceptional! We had the Warm Goats Cheese Crostini and Fish Cakes which were recommended by Sean. They were both very tasty and we highly recommend both! All of the beer tasted fantastic! They must be really diligent about cleaning their draught lines! The pint of Guinness was the best I had in Ireland including the brewery itself! They had beer from a craft brewery called McGargles. The pale ale from them was very tasty! All in all this is a great little pub and not to be missed while in Adare!
