I would not have tipped her....she will have a bigger scowl on her face...hahahaha. Anyhow, the ambiance is very American; a diner complete with a car banquette seating. Bbq chicken wings were really good and flavorful. Burger sucked and not worth its £6 price. Halloumi cheese was mediocre not worth £5 for 3 small rectangular pieces. First - the wait staff…read more There is a service charge tacked onto your bill automatically, but you still have to order yourself online (the ordering process is a bit tedious - with a sometimes failing web form ) Then you need to walk to the counter and pay there, as there is no way to pay for your meal online either (or - as would be expected - pay for it AFTER you finished it). The place does not accept American Express. But then, the food is also rather lackluster. With lemonade being sickeningly sweet and having an odd, chemical flavor. The Budweiser Prohibition Brew we ordered was replaced with Budweiser Zero - a much poorer alternative. The food is edible and we did not get sick after eating it, but it is on the more expensive side, given the quality. In particular, everything was very greasy - which is not always a bad thing with a diner, but here it was not great. My steak - ordered medium-rare, came medium/well-done which I had to ask to be replaced. It did get replaced with a (nearly) properly cooked (more solidly medium, not rarer) one. I wish it was 14 oz ribeye I paid for, not a thin 8 oz, though. The meat was tasty, a bit lacking the flavor, and the bone was large - not worth the price. The fries were good. The place is halal certified. So the bacon you will get is chicken-based. The environment is very "movie 1950s" - unlike the true diners, but also lacking the atmosphere of the 50s. It would be very enjoyable for its ambiance, if not for the fact, that the place is filled with families with young kids, and as such gets kindergarten loud at times. I had high hopes, but I did not get a satisfactory meal. I did not have a great experience, and I did not get a bargain. On the other hand, it was not dreadful and perhaps I would come back again, with friends, later in the evening, as I enjoyed the tacky decor. If only they served beer or wine to go with the meal...

What a cute little gelato place!…read more After a fantastic dinner at the nearby "Local Friends", my friends and I went to try out this gelato place. It was really nice: - the scoops are very generous and reasonably priced (1=£2, 2=£3.20) - the Ferrero Rocher flavours and the Mango were my favourites - despite us wantint to try a lot of flavours, the guy behind the counter remained friendly The place is not huge and decor-wise doesn't offer much...so I suggest grabbing one or a couple scoops and do some window-shopping along Golders Green high street...

After doing some shopping in Wembley High Road! I pleasantly discovered Creams and was in shock!!!…read moreIf you see Wembley High Road you will know I mean! Creams situated in the square behind Wembley Central Station. Creams sell ice cream, waffles, pancakes, crepes, sundaes, milkshakes, smoothies, cakes desserts, galetos and sorbets. Creams has a purple and black decor with jazzy lights. You first have to find a seat then go up to the till and order while giving your payment and table number. I ordered the Sicilian Zest crepe with butter, icing sugar and lemon juice. You could have the choice of ice cream or cream...I chose ice cream! It was well presented and tasty my only gripe is that the supposed crepe should be traditionally thinner and lighter but this was merging into a pancake. I will still come and visit and try something different. But Creams is a welcome addition to Wembley because the area really needed it amongst all the chains and chicken shops.

The kids got a variety of different flavors, but the dark chocolate gelato is in the running for the best gelato I've ever had.
