Tree Man knocked it out of the park! I have a big ash tree in my backyard that tends to grow out of control when the warmer weather hits. Every few years, I have to get it trimmed and it's always a pain tracking down someone do it, but it has to be done because having too many heavy branches makes me nervous. Enter Tree Man. I originally called them and they told me that they were really busy and it would be two weeks before they could come out and take care of the tree. They then called me back the next day and told me that they had a cancellation and they could come out in the next few days. Great! They came with a big crew and all of their trucks ready to go. They trimmed all of the heavy branches from all around the tree and the whole process took about two hours- which was perfect. The lady I spoke with said that they actually had someone else's property they were planning to work on in Thibodaux so they would call back and work out the logistics. Tree Man was quick to come out to our property to survey the job needed and got back to us with a quote within the same day. Their quote was very reasonable and one of very competitive compared to the other ones I had received. I was notified of when to expect their crew and they arrived on time the day of the appointment. The crew was five men deep and got to work very quickly. While most of the other quotes I received had quoted the job as being 2 or 3 days long, Tree Man Inc was able to knock the entire job out in one day. I was informed by the Tree Man crew that most other companies only send out 3 people for a job like mine. Their crew was very polite, took care of the job in a quick manner, made sure not to cause any damage to the rest of my property, and cleaned up after themselves. I would strongly advise anyone not to hire Tree Man. John LeMeur is not honest. I hired Tree Man last year to prune my large pecan tree. Not being an arborist, I didn't really understand the jargon of the contract he gave me, but when he came to my house and we stood in my backyard pointing at my tree and discussing what limbs he would prune back, I believed he would do what he said he would. When I came home and saw what a terrible job he did I called him and he immediately started screaming at me before I could a word out. Obviously he knew that I wasn't going to be happy with the job (I could have been calling because I found one of his worker's wallets in the yard or something but he knew why I was calling) because he became unglued right away. Eight months later I finally got some restitution from my bank after the Louisiana State Department of Agriculture investigated my claim against John LeMeur and found in my favor and cited him for violating minimum state horticultural standards. My credit card returned $450 of the $750 bill I paid. But I would recommend that you stay far away from this man, who is not only a liar and a cheat, but a bit unhinged mentally. read more
