We've ordered Treehouse about once a month for years. Pizza is pretty usually pretty good. I always order wings and ask for ranch instead of the default blue cheese. Blue cheese is gross. I'm anti-blue cheese. A hater, if you will. I'm not exaggerating when I say that 50% of the time they still give us blue cheese. Fifty. Half. Coin flip. The worst part is that blue cheese and ranch look similar enough and first blush that the only way to know what I got is to taste it. And half of the time I taste disappointment with the aftertaste of vomit. When I get ranch three times in a row, I'll up my rating to 5 stars. These are my demands. read more

I have been coming here for about four years and have probably visited around 20 times. I used to really enjoy the food and I have brought multiple families here over the years. I have easily spent thousands of dollars here, and it used to be a regular stop before heading to the nearby beach. Unfortunately, after my most recent experience, I will not be returning. We stopped by around 1 PM hoping to get lunch, but were told that food service does not start until 4 PM, even though they were serving alcohol. Some members of our group had purchased burgers from Walt's Burgers, but they had run out, so we were trying to figure out what to do next and planned to order from Treehouse when food service opened. We sat at the outdoor patio tables, which are placed out in the open and not clearly marked or restricted in any way. Shortly after, a man who appeared to work there came out, crossed his arms, and stared our group down in a way that felt uncomfortable and unwelcoming. A staff member then came out and told us we could not sit there. I tried to explain that we had intended to order food and that the space appeared open, but instead of a clear or courteous explanation, I was told that the boss who rents the space would not like us sitting there. When I asked for clarification and suggested the owner could speak with us directly if needed, the response I received was a passive aggressive thank you for understanding, which did not address the situation at all. There is no signage about outside food, and the tables are set well out into what appears to be a shared public area, so the expectation that we could not sit there was not clear. More importantly, the way this was handled, including the body language, tone, and lack of communication, felt unnecessarily rude and dismissive. This is not the first time I have experienced inconsistent or unwelcoming service here, but it will be the last. Given how much I have supported this business over the years, this experience was extremely disappointing. I will not be returning. read more

Came here for dinner on sat night and sat outside on the patio with my dog. The pepperoni pizza was great albeit on the oily side. We also had the kale salad with walnuts which was tasty. I didn't care much for the chicken pesto pizza but that's probably my personal preference. Service was prompt, I'd come here again! read more

It's ok, nothing to write home about. Just your typical little town place. The food was ok but the turtles were cool.

Food good. Flying bugs in the restaurant and they give u a bug killer racket. Then our waiter just disappeared.

I came to visit my friends in Bainbridge Island and they took me to this restaurant for dinner. It's more of a pub/bar experience at night where there's pool tables and live sports on the TV. The pizza here are amazing and good size, we also ordered a kale salad but it had a lot of dressing so it was a little too sour. The Treehouse cafe recently got a new owner so I think they are still working out some of the kinks but we had our rehearsal dinner here and it was a wonderful experience. We seriously could not have asked for a better night and everyone had a blast. I do not think they were prepared for our crazy latin family, but they handled it with a lot of grace and provided exceptional service. The pizza was delicious and the wine was flowing, everyone loved the space and the outdoor seating was a great option on a hot August night. Solid pizza. Not sure if I could recommend getting anything else. Growing up on Bainbridge, the 3 pizza places I would always hear people bring up as their favorites or order for parties were Treehouse, That's A Some, and Westside - Treehouse distinguishing itself as a kind of (comparatively) thinner crust place with interesting signature topping combos as well as a decent build-your-own pizza deal. On the island, this place is probably most comparable to Westside. Taste-wise, to be honest, I don't think there's all that huge of a gap. Westside being the cheaper of the two and more capable delivery wise, it makes sense people usually just order Westside for events and such. That said, a lot of people still swear by Treehouse - it's a really nice location and arguably a better place to go sit down and have a casual pizza gathering; solid outdoor seating compared to the other 2 places. I recently tried a half and half Thai Peanut and "Country Club" pizza. The chicken was pretty unremarkable - not a big difference from Westside - and the sauces didn't impress but both slices were pretty tasty all the same, and they were fun to try. Nicely seasoned. Splitting it with another person or two, the price doesn't feel all that bad for what you get. BLT was just ok. I liked the thick cut bacon they used but it just didn't feel like it came together all that well - the pesto mayo got a little lost and I think the sandwich would've been better if it came out a little more hot. Maybe that's a personal thing, I don't know. The cheese was basically not melted all and the toasted bread was maybe lukewarm at best when I got it. All in all not bad but didn't feel worth the price. Anyway, still not my favorite pizza place on the island but I definitely see why people like it. If a friend wanted to get lunch here again I wouldn't have any reason to turn it down. Our server was nice. read more

Everything lacks taste here, including the ambiance. Staying in to eat feels just like you're in somebody's barn! The tasteless food fails to draw you in and frankly, merits the only real accomplishment of filling up your stomach. To it's credit, the menu is quite diverse but certainly overpriced. I don't know why I should say I was pleasantly surprised with this place. It's in a pretty affluent neighborhood, and everything looks olde English and the streets are pristine. So this place is sort of wanting to be a sports bar, but the clientele seems mostly upper-class so I guess it is fitting that the food is of a good quality. The salads taste fresh and are well dressed, the sandwiches are served with fruit instead of frites, and the portions are not gastronomical. It was fairly busy, but there was seating in the bar area. The service was a little slow, but that may have just been due to the weekend and the flux of outsiders on BBI for the Rotary Sale. Prices are expected, but since the portions are a tad smaller than average, I wish the prices reflected that. Keep in mind, I think the portion size is appropriate. Just smaller than usual. Pizza on the island. This is a popular pizza place on Bainbridge Island. We did not eat in here, but we stopped by to pick up our order. Its a large restaurant, seats family and kids, I think had a "family friendly" area, which was nice. They do have a full bar. There is some outside seating as well. Our pizzas were terrific, as were the salads that we ordered as well. They came well wrapped for takeout, and exactly as ordered, so no surprise when we arrived back at the house. Overpriced, mediocre food, awful service. Was honestly shocked by the quality of service I got from this place the other night. It was not all that busy when I went, but for whatever reason, we had multiple servers, which made things a bit confusing. One girl sat me and my date down and took our orders, and was pretty nice. We were seated in the main cafe area. It wasn't that busy when we were there...maybe three tables or so, and multiple people working, so our server wasn't too slammed. I saw our food be ready at the counter, and for whatever reason, some older woman immediately grabbed it and raced it over to us (Our server was at the other end of the bar, and had already started walking over to get it when her name was called). Even she looked a little irked that someone had grabbed her order and delivered it before she could (Wow, a whole 10 seconds faster, when there was no rush or crowd to begin with). My date and I found this a little odd. The food wasn't great - they forgot to take out the onions on my date's sandwich, even though we'd specifically asked, and the tomato slices that were served with my spicy hummus were very unappetizing...a bit dry and withered, as though they'd been sitting out all day. The bathrooms were filthy, and while eating, I saw someone order a slice of pizza from the front pizza warmer, and the girl who took that order handled the customers money, then didn't even wash her hands before going to serve the customer a pastry and a pizza slice...and she used her hands to slide the slice from the warmer to the plate. And then, our check was delivered by the same grumpy older woman, even though the place was not busy and we were not in a hurry. Felt very rushed, and it was bizarre dealing with multiple servers. I saw other tables being served by multiple people, and this just seems like a confusing and unhelpful way to do things. read more

We loved our first time here, both food and entertainment. This time there were no tables, just chairs, so we ate dinner elsewhere and came just for the show. There was so much noise from the bar that we couldn't hear the opening act! We finally went outside and sat at a table right next to the open windows, so we couldn't hear the bar noise as much, and could hear the singer. We commented to each other at how generously the dates, walnuts, goat cheese, were sprinkled over the salad. The dressing was very good as well. Good pizza, they're generous with toppings, and it doesn't take too long to get your food after ordering. They have TVs and pool tables. They don't have a full bar but have plenty of beer and wine to choose from. Check the red pepper shaker to make sure the lid is screwed on before using it though... Today was my 2nd visit to the Treehouse cafe. My first visit was quite some time ago but I do recall the food being good. I do not recall the level of excellence regarding the service though. Back to today's visit, great service...not great food. I was with a child whom, like most children, only eats cheese pizza. Instead of a complicated order. I ordered 1 slice cheese and 1 slice veggie. The cheese pizza was gobbled up. I was disappointed in my slice though. It went from luke warm to stone cold way too fast and cheese looked like it had been sitting a while. I did eat it because I was starving but next time I will order the whole pie. Went here with somewhat reservations after reading other reviews. Walked in and wasn't sure where to go. Asked someone at the bar if we seat ourselves and she said yes. After finding a seat- the same lady was our server and was attentive and kind. I give this three stars for a few reasons. We waited over an hour. The pizza we got had the wrong toppings and when asking for two sides, we received only one. We also got a sandwich that didn't come with fresh fruit and a pickle spear which the menue stated. It came with a small bag of plain Tims potato chips which honestly who likes those period. Mainly disappointed that we received the wrong pizza on National Pizza Day.
