A very cool experience in the heart of the zoo. This is located near the Everglades part of the Brevard Zoo which is the second major section to the right as you enter the zoo. You sign up at a covered pavilion where you can rent canoes for the Everglades Kayak experience. I have done the kayak several times and have enjoyed it. There are 3 choices for the ropes experience. The easiest one is the Canopy Walk at a cost of about $25/person and the admission to the zoo. You sign up for a time (if they are busy). We got there at a good time and could get right on. You will fill out a waiver electronically and come back at your appointed time. They will walk you over to a staging area and get you rigged up with a harness and helmet. The arrangement connects a large C-ring that follows a railing and is never disconnected while you are on the course. The course is 20 feet up in the trees, going over a section the Rainforest Revealed Loop at Brevard Zoo. You move through 20 elements. You need to be in good physical condition but it is not a hard course. The course was nice and unique and the staff was excellent. I highly recommend this for anyone visiting the zoo that would like a unique experience. Enjoy! read more

Look......... I am horrible with heights....... HORRIFIED! The thought of plane rides, ladders, or anything that brings me off the grounds just gets my tummy in knots. BUT We were on our trip and...... My bf loves doing crazy things..... so I got us tickets for this trek.....oh jeez Because of covid you must wear a mask until up on the first course. You arrive to sign in and buy a cute reusable bag thing for water. Thank goodness we bought them. It was so hot up there..... STAY HYDRATED! After that we get into our gear and take a lesson. The instructor makes us practice on the lesson obstacle first before going up. If you can't figure out the practice one.... you ain't going up! It is not hard. Kids do it. Just pay attention and all will be fine. TILL YOU GET UP THE TREE!!! For those afraid of heights haha We did the beginner course. Because... uh... duh I am scared. Got up the first latter..... 20 feet up. Thank God I had the older ladies behind me cheering me on. I got through the course. It was hot. I sweat buckets out of my system.... I was exhausted by the end... but so proud of myself for doing the course. WARNING! Their is a tightrope walk part. IT IS NOT EASY! One lady was taken down. One kid fell off. Take it really slow.... I did it very very slow and made it! Once you are at the tight rope you are almost done... phew! The ziplines were great! Of course my bf breezed through it all.. but he did say the tightrope made him concentrate more. No..... I don't want to do it again... But I would if family wanted me to. No it isn't because it was bad. It was a great experience, and I think everyone should try it. I just... It is not my cup of tea. Heights are not my friend. I am a big baby... I am not afraid to say it. Also, you need to be in some kind of shape, because you bend down a lot to get under and over things. Not fun for us tall peeps. In the end, so happy I did the trek. We were just attending the zoo but when I saw treetop trek was right next door, decided to give it a go! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Instructions were pretty straight forward. Honestly there's nothing but good things and wonderful experience. Our guide was Demetrius I believe (sorry if I remembered wrong) but he was awesome! Just like the name you are climbing trees and zip-lining through a zoo. It's best to go when it's not too hot. This place is a workout for all. I am not great with heights and really enjoyed myself. I was amazed at the kids ability to zip through and very heavy individuals also enjoy this adventure. They have parking attends, so go early because the fewer the people the better. There doesn't seem to be much parking and apparently this place gets full quick. This attraction is two fold. You can visit the zoo or zip line. It's very expensive. I think the cheapest options is around $30+. If you love trying new activities, being active, seeing animals at the zoo then this place is for you. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Drove on a Sunday from Lauderdale-by-the-Sea. Traffic was light. Easy 2hrs 15 minute drive due to venue's proximity to I95. When we arrived parking was easy, didn't have to walk far. Parking is free. 2 Star rating mostly because of disappointment. We were fully expecting to be able to go in the intermediate course but due to "high winds" the intermediate & expert courses were closed. So we were forced to take beginners course. Totally bummed. We drove 2 1/2 hours & we were finished in 20 minutes. Felt very safe. Instructions were clear & staff was very friendly. The main reason for 2 stars was due to the unwillingness of staff to allow us to repeat the basic course without paying again. We had driven over 2 hours, the waiver was signed, we had all the gear on, we were quick-weren't going to keep the workers past the shift. We had come prepared to pay twice as much. Money was not an issue but they would not let us back on the course. I really believe they should have accommodated us due to the long distance we had driven. read more

We went here at the start of covid and they have great precautions and its all very clean. The trek over the zoo is absolutely beautiful you go over a bit of vegetation and the monkey and otter exhibits. The monkeys are so close you could touch them (but you shouldn't) Theres two packages one full topes course and one that includes a mega zip line over a lagoon and alligator exhibit. They guides are also extremely helpful and make the trip lots of fun they are hilarious college students. Very very fun for older kids I had a blast! read more

I took my two gals (15 & 20) to Treetop Trek to go zip lining. The staff are very nice and I think the experience was great fun. So my criticisms are this... If you have never done this before a guide should go with you. It can be scary and technical if you have never done it before. They have guides underneath you on the ground but that is not as helpful. If you are terrified of heights this experience would not be good for you. I am but went down 2 to be with my kids but then had to quit I was shaking so much. Thankfully my girls finished the course. As Florida really doesn't have hills all the zip lines are started at the top of tall poles that you have to climb. Again scary if you don't like heights. I'd like to give a shout out to April who was fantastic! read more

It's a decent park, fairly well priced. I've seen a lot of complaints about the "Self-guided part", while this is relatively true, you're given a very thorough training on what to do, what not to do, and if an error were to occur how to fix it. The staff is great, we never felt left out, they helped us throughout the harder parts and they were in key points around the trail just in case an accident would happen. We did the "Black Diamond" which is the "Most difficult one", while it is, I don't think it's worth it. It's $20 more over regular price and it's just four more obstacles that we completed in less than 5 minutes. The GoPro rent for $25 isn't a bad deal just make sure you know how to use it, it was our first time using one and mine worked perfectly fine but my partner's was only taking pictures and not video. Oh, some good advice would be make sure you pee or poo before you arrive, otherwise you would have to do in a portable bathroom which is quite disgusting. read more

I completely missed the self- assisted memo. As other yelpers mentioned, if this is your first time zip-lining please be mentally prepared. It was not my first time but at certain instances I hopped there was assistance, hence 4 stars. I had difficulty with the equipment at certain points and workers had to yell instructions from afar. ( Thank you) My significant other and I participated in the zip-line and obstacle course package. It was definitely worth the money. There were so many obstacles and zips to the point that I lost count. I advise anyone participating in the obstacle and zip-line course to at least eat a lite breakfast, lunch or brunch..you will get hungry and exhausted. read more

I took my daughter (11 yo) and her friend (10 yo) to do the Canopy Walk and the zoo. My daughter is just over 54" so she was able to participate. The staff was excellent. They do a very thorough instruction and practice session. It's terribly amusing; they must have lots of stories of crazy participants. "Put your left hand on top of your right. No, your left. On top. Now jump. Okay. Anytime." While I was there, I saw a terrified walker crying, my daughter's friend dropped her glove and three of us tried to throw it up to her, one Black Diamond walker took a wrong turn up in the trees and was wandering around the zoo lost, and several people quit mid-walk. I really enjoyed it. I was one of the people who stopped mid-way. I'm old, broke my arm last year, tore my rotator cuff, and have a history of DVT. The course required a lot of squatting and bending; an hour was enough for me physically. But then I got to walk along under my kid through the zoo, and honestly, I think that was just as much fun. I only wish I had a camera - you can't carry anything on the course. The only thing I would change would be the addition of hand lines along some of the walkways. Most have them - wooden step planks, the safety line above, and then lines on each side to hold onto, but several did not and you had to hang onto the safety belt or line. It was a bit much for me, and my daughter could barely reach. But they said they didn't want to make it too easy, and a little challenge is good. All in all, it was an excellent entry in my bid for being the most fun mom! read more

I went here with my boyfriend around 2pm on a Friday. We were the only ones on the course so we had a lot of personal attention. We did the challenge u loaded course. It is doable even if you are out of shape. There is an option for 25$ to put a GoPro on your helmet. There is a 30 minute intro talk where they teach you how to use the equipment. The employees stay on the ground while you go through the course on your own. There were about 14 zip lines and a lot of challenging parts of the course. I definitely will be returning to this course: it took us 2.5 hours to finish but it was worth it even though we got home exhausted. read more

We had a great experience at Tree Top Trek today. It was completely opposite of the first reviewer. We arrived to a very full parking lot as to be expected on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon. Yes, you could park near the main road and walk a distance or you could patiently wait as cars pulled out of their spaces. We chose the latter and had a spot steps away from the entrance. When I signed the waiver for my son we were told the next group would be taken in about 15 minutes. The instructor actually began in about 10. There was a wide range of expertise so those that had experience did need to wait to be harnessed and for questions to be answered. The entire process from paying to on the course was approximately 30 minutes. My 13 year old son chose the black diamond course. I did not have to purchase any wristbands or zoo admissions to follow under him. The reason you can't follow underneath the entire course is because there are no paths to do so. My son has had a lot of experience doing these types of activities so I had confidence in his abilities out of my sight. My feeling is if you are not comfortable with your child participating on a level where you can't see them then they are probably not ready for that difficulty. All of the employees from check-in, instructors, photographers, etc... were nothing but professional and helpful. They have to move a lot (A LOT!!) of people and everyone looked like they were having a great time like ourselves. The reason I only gave 4 stars is because I do think they should limit the number of tickets they sell for a given hour. It became extremely clogged in the trees at times so there was plenty of standing around waiting. My son didn't mind because he enjoyed seeing the zoo animals from above. He also had fun conversing with the people below him. Overall it is a fun activity for people of all ages! read more

My sister and friend did the zip line Challenge reloaded course this past weekend and we had so much fun!!! You do want to have good balance and you WILL need to be mentally prepared. I am not afraid of heights, but at some parts are scary. You ALWAYS have a safety harness on, but some obstacles do not have a railing to hold on to, so you will need to either hold the top wire for security or trust that you have good balance. Overall it was an incredible experience for first timers. I like that it's not just zip lines, it challenges you with obstacles to get from one zip line to another. The safety briefing was kind of short and confusing, but once your on your own it gets pretty self explanatory. There were only two things I didn't like about this. The first and most important is they have NO bathrooms!! You need to use port a potty's which is gross, so stop at the gas station prior to buying your ticket. Also, if it thunders (which it did) you HAVE to get off the course and wait 30 mins. If it thunders past 3:00 then they shut down the whole park. We had 8 zip lines left and were not able to complete it.. so we were bummed about that. Go early to ensure you can complete the whole course - they don't give refunds if it rains or thunders! Tip: students get a discount! So make sure you bring your student ID! read more

Took my 6 year old today and had a blast. The staff was absolutely amazing and they went above and beyond. Our guide was in a difficult situation due to some other guests, but he made sure my son had a good time and he always kept his smile. The rest of the staff was exceptionally accommodating too! We arrived at 10:15am. With little parking available be prepared to park on the side of the road and walk...a long way. Once in, the customer service we received was terrible. It began when my friends daughter was asked to stand up next to the measuring pole to see if she could go on the canopy experience. Unfortunately they measured her just right below the 54" mark. I asked if they had a real measuring tape and could they measure her again. We were told yes, they have a measuring tape but that no, they would not re-measure her because the manager said no. We paid for her and my son to do the Chutes and Ladders experience and the Canopy experience for my son only. They finished Chutes and Ladders in under 10-minutes then we waited for the Canopy instruction to begin. At no point were we told (nor did I have the sense to ask) how long the wait would be (10-minutes), how long the instruction would be or how long the experience would take. The instruction took 45-minutes (way to long and far too detailed for the layperson to really comprehend) which included having everyone, on their own, read the terms and conditions (Legalese). Once everyone went through the instruction and test drove the zip line, the journey began. This is a self-guided tour but they do have instructors that are walking around answering questions. This is where I should of had the sense (again) to ask more questions. So unless you purchase an entrance pass into the Zoo or are doing the Canopy experience yourself, you cannot walk underneath or alongside your child, spouse, friend, guest, etc. They did not share this, so when I asked which pathway do I take to follow my son, the guide told me (twice) since I did not pay for admission into the Zoo, I could not follow him. I was never even given the option when I paid for the experience nor did I know to ask since it was our first time there. I then asked how long does the canopy experience take and was told 1hr to 1hr 15 minutes. I went a good 45-minutes before I ever saw my son again and when I finally did, he asked me why I was not following underneath him (apparently they did not tell him that since I did not pay for Zoo admission, I could not follow him). At this point my friend and her daughter were beside themselves too and went to see if they could pay for her to go on Chutes and Ladders one more time. They were told no as there were too many other people waiting. Funny thing is that we looked at the list and there were only two (2) children signed up and waiting for their turn. When my son was getting ready to go on one of the zip lines, there was an employee taking pictures of the guests as they come down the wire. My son was taking a bit long to hook himself up to the zip line, so the employee decided it would be okay to take selfies and take a call on her cell phone. Once he finally finished the canopy trail, we went to turn in the harness. There were several people waiting to turn theirs in too. Several employees were just walking by, not offering to help, nor saying thank you for our business. I never shared any feedback with the manager because of the way she treated us from the beginning. Although my experience along with my friend and her daughter was horrible, my son had a wonderful time so it took some of the sting out of the day for me. By the way, there are no restrooms only port-a-johns so bring your sanitizer (theirs was empty). There were many other issues throughout our time there but I have to go now. read more

Treetop trek was truly the highlight of my trip. I am so disappointed I did not find out about it earlier. So first, try to get there early in the mornings, because parking is a pain. They open at 8, and you at least want to be there by 10 because it takes about 3 hours (if you do challenge reloaded). The amount of time you take is dependent on the people in front of you - if they are struggling to get through the course and going slow, it will hold everyone down. Hence, you want to try to be one of the first ones in the line to bypass them. For the first portion of the course, you will have a little instructions course on how to use their new "claw" system. It looks very safe, and the mechanism makes you feel secure. It takes some getting used to, but you can do it. After that, everyone is doing the canopy walk (the beginner level). The canopy walk is relatively easy, it's more about getting you used to the height and the way it works.There are more obstacles than ziplining. After that, the people doing challenge reloaded break off and continue their course. Within minutes of challenge reloaded, you go on the tallest and longest zipline of the course. I have to say, I was quite frightened but I got through it. The employee literally had to give me a motivational speech to go. The obstacle courses are not meant for people of extreme heights. I am 4'-11", and my boyfriend is 6'-2", and we both struggled. Some courses require you to hold the wire on top of your head. I was literally on my tippy-toes, and still could not reach. It was uncomfortable and people felt uncomfortable watching me. Meanwhile, by boyfriend squatted during a lot of the obstacles. Where as I could not reach over head, he had troubles balancing because the line was at the side of him instead of above, since he was so tall. Unfortunately, our time was cut short due to the weather. It is non-refundable, so we missed about 8 ziplines. Overall, it's a great family experience. My boyfriend struggled at first because he is deathly afraid of heights, but he really enjoyed the ziplines. After a while, he got used to the heights and I don't think he is as afraid now. read more

I think this has the potential for being a really great course. As it is, however, it sucks. I've been to zip lines all over the country and have never seen such a lackadaisical attitude toward guest safety and guest enjoyment. You're wearing garden gloves. The safety instructions are barely there. If you haven't done this before get ready to be riding blind and potentially injuring yourself. A younger tween in front of us got too scared to do the first zip and instead of the guide helping her, she openly rolled her eyes, was downright rude to the grandmother with her (who wasn't being snippy but just wanted some more instruction about how to help her granddaughter on the platform) and that was enough for my daughter to say that we should just go. We got a refund, we didn't even ask for one, they just did it and that makes me think a lot of people walk off the course. My advice? Hire some professionals and invest in some real gear. read more

AWFUL #MeToo experience w/guide "John". He climbed behind me, they r supposed to stay on ground. Insisted on moving my equipment FOR ME ahead of me so I couldn't stop, rushed & pushed me despite my repeated requests for him to pass me. I've done way better courses, not going over CONSTRUCTION on the ground. He was right with me and in my personal space the whole time. I stopped telling him that I really was fine after he replied "I KNOW you're fine". What?! Crappy easy course, nothing challenging at all. Was in tears when finally finished, other guide came up & asked what's wrong. I just pointed to John. Other guide pulled me aside & asked was he "too much in your face"? The Claw was stupid. Have to wrap it, cannot pass, hurts fingers to follow multiple wraps on trees. John made me feel trapped, violated, isolated, and that I paid to trapped & hit on. I asked other guide if they knew about this why was he still there. Guide replied that all the guides can do is keep telling guests to complain on Yelp. This was a horrible experience. Not my first treetop excursion, I was very familiar w/what to do. This place should be closed down (at LEAST) if they refuse to stop their employees from trapping & hitting on their guests. We paid for the challenge reloaded and we started out with Nick who was great. Unfortunately as we moved to the harder part of the course Nick had to go and then Leslie took over as our guide. She was not friendly at all. When we moved to the next obstacle it was a very high platform swaying in the wind. She just took off and did the obstacle without any assistance or explanation (i found out later this is the worst part of the course, so if you can do that the rest will be easier). So there I was by myself with the swaying platform thinking if this is the first obstacle on this more difficult part then I'm not gonna be able to do it. If I'd known this was the worst part I would have done it. Nobody was there to encourage or tell me these things, so I got off the obstacle and was done for the day. Very disappointed. read more
