Seductively Secluded and Very Romantic with 5 Star Service!…read more From the moment you arrive at this beautiful property, you just can't help but feel truly welcome. It's like you've been greeted by a life-long friend who's very happy to see you. You step out of your vehicle and are immediately greeted by a lovely couple with genuine smiles, not those forced grins you get at most hotel desks ... and that warm fuzzy feeling doesn't end at check in either. With a 'nothing is too much trouble' attitude, Alan and Aryna (who really knows how to bake) make sure you have absolutely everything you need and anything else you might want, from a special breakfast request to a barista coffee while checking your email up at the office ... all you have to do is ask. Our beautifully appointed 'Cabin in the Woods' was superbly equipped with its very own candle lit spa for two, the extra convenience of a bathroom bidet and large shower, a cosy old school wood fire which takes the chill right out of winter, a lovely comfy bed, decent sized wide screen TV with media centre, full kitchen facilities and all the equipment you need to cook up a storm, a full sized refrigerator and even a gas Webber-Q to complete that home away from home feeling. We felt like we were a million miles from anywhere with our feet up sipping port and yet we had a magnificent breakfast hamper full of all those good things like bacon, eggs, cereals and fruits, plus tantalisingly tasty baked surprises and freshly chopped wood for the fire ... all magically appear at our door each day. Service at The Falls Montville is world class and honestly second to none, being only too pleased to help with anything from a romantic dinner reservation to offering excellent local knowledge of where to go and what to do, or even just getting an extra tub of that amazing yoghurt (from Maleny Cheese) popped in the fridge while you're out ... you know ... just because you mentioned it was delicious ... and it is. We couldn't recommend The Falls Montville highly enough for anyone wanting that 5 Star treatment, in a truly magnificent setting, nice and close to Montville and Maleny for restaurants and shopping, literally in the same street as Kondalilla Falls, but all far enough away from everything to feel truly relaxed in a secluded, romantic, private getaway. You will not be disappointed. We'd like to give The Falls Montville SIX STARS but Yelp only lets us select a maximum of 5.

Affordable lodging with a family feel (owner Lyle mans the reception desk). Located "top of the…read moretown" it is in prime location of the small Montville village area. Rooms are comfortably large. Yes, they are a bit outdated (brick walls with faux wood paneled closet, pink toilet) - but wasn't in any sense tacky at all. The previous review stated that the bedspread was outdated but I thought ours wasn't (classy white with a silver/gray runner at the foot of the bed). We booked two separate rooms (one for us, one for my parents). Unfortunately we didn't think to request that the rooms to be adjoining because we did notice our room had a door to the next room (occupied/locked) - but next time we will do so! There is a mini refrigerator, toaster, and electric kettle for your use. You can request microwave if you should need one. There are BBQs to use (must reserve). There is a pool for use during the day time. Trust me, you don't want to head there at night. Tennis court too. Our rooms had adjoining balcony with a great view of the hinterland rainforest. All around a comfortable stay and one we will definitely consider again in the future for a quick getaway!

The room and hotel have a distinct 90's vibe (think brick walls, cane furniture, floral bed spread) but it tends itself to quaint vintage rather than dated. Very clean and comfortable.
