I brought my Trek bike in for annual service last week. Dropped it off Thursday afternoon and was told it would be ready Friday end of day. I bought the Level 2 package $200.00). Imagine my surprise when I received a text less than two hours later that my bike was ready. I picked the bike up. When I got it home I wanted to take it out for a test ride. That's when I discovered that the handlebars were not tightened and easily moved left to right. I wound up going go Lowe's to get the hex head wrench needed to tighten the bars. Now I'm wondering what else they didn't do. Not a great experience! read more

Store manager Ryan post is arrogant and has a massive ego. Will never step foot in this location along with the rest of South Florida trek. Was promised multiple services and timelines all not met. Don't set expectations time and time again you guys can't meet. "Flagship store" is a mess, half the employees don't even welcome you but jump all over you for a sale, was that a car dealership?! These guys just made my day! Fantastic service! I went there to just buy a set of the most inexpensive pedals. I explained to the guys that Hurricane "Helene" blew my Diamondback over so hard to the ground that it broke my pedal off so I came to get them replaced. Although the back tire was dry rotted with a flat tube and needed replaced I couldn't afford it bc I just started my new job. I rely on my bike to get to work though, so at the moment Im in a rough spot. Long story short the guy replaced my tire , serviced my bike and replaced my pedals. I have purchased three bikes from the Trek store in Estero and previously given them favorable reviews for their service. However, they now have a policy that if your bike was in sea water (from Hurricane Ian), they will not service it. The apparent explanation for this exasperating policy is "because of liability". This is an absurd policy. Rather than adjust my brakes, they sent me on my way today, because they do not want the liability. Of course, if I get hit by a car because my brakes don't stop quickly enough, they will have some real liability. Most vendors in Lee and Collier County have been bending over backwards to help individuals harmed by the hurricane. NOT TREK - all they want to do is sell new bikes. It really is a shameful corporate policy. There are other bike stores in the area, including Engel's in Bonita Springs and Bike Medic (mobile). They are servicing bikes from the storm. I would encourage Yelp readers to check out these companies and not support Trek. And I will not buy another Verve or FX from this awful store. read more

Recently, I went to the Estero Trek Store to have new tires put on my 1990s Trek bike. The tires were shot! At that time they told me I could not ride this bicycle because the frame was cracked. At that point, Steve showed me new bicycles appropriate for my skill level and age. There after I was taken care of by Ryan and Tony and John and the rest of the Trek team. They were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating to my needs, and provided me with information on bicycles to choose from. In light of my age, I could've just gone with the lower end of the Verve series. Because of the excellent treatment by the staff I chose to purchase the higher end, Verve 3 bike! I couldn't be happier with this new bike! It's like night and day and astronomically better than my old bike! Also, because of the age of my bike, and the fact that I did not have the original purchase documents, I could not get the 20% off of the new bike due to the frame crack! Ryan, graciously, accommodated, at least a reasonable decrease in the purchase price, knowing that I was truly the original owner! Thank you team Estero Trek! I dislike giving bad reviews but . . . we're new to the area - my wife is a triathlete, looking for a long-term service relationship. After a couple visits and phone calls we are taking our business to the Naples store instead. Patronizing, arrogant staff that treats even highly-experienced cyclists like they aren't worth their time. If you aren't one of their preferred clientele they won't bother to assist. The Naples store, on the other hand, is considerate, attentive, and acts like they actually enjoy helping their clients. Go there instead. read more

Tony went out of his way order, explaining and help try installing bike racks until we got it resolved. He answered all my questions and I ended up buying a back rack as well as the bag that went on top of it. Much like other reviewers, I found employees of this store to be incompetent and rude. Go to the Ft. Myers location! I dropped my bike off to have a tire replaced. First time around they called and said they didn't have a tire to fit my bike despite having shown me 2 tires. I called to find out what was going on and got some serious attitude! The tire was there after all and so we agreed to proceed. So then I picked up my bike and they had put the new tire on the wrong wheel!! Like seriously? My front tire was completely worn out (almost no tread left) and my rear tire was less than a year old and you replaced the fear tire? Oh and they replaced the tube too which I did NOT request nor was it necessary. In conclusion? They are either grossly incompetent or did it on purpose, out of spite. Take your pick. But seriously? Give your business to someone who gives a damn. read more

In need of a pair of bike shorts and shirt, I got here close to closing on a Sunday and didn't feel the least bit rushed. In fact, the cashier was nice enough to go as far as pointing out that I had accidentally picked a woman's shirt. For what it's worth the XL fit me fine and the shirt wasn't feminine. The only reason I'm at 4 stars is because they had so many items on the clearance rack whose sizes didn't match up with what was displayed on the coat hangers. read more

Love my Trek bike, but the service at the Gulf Coast store is very poor. First their phone system has not been working for a long time. No one answers and then you leave a message and they never call back. So I had to bring my bike to the store to set up service on the service plan. When I asked about the phone system, they acted like it was no big deal and they real didn't care. Then they said it would be 2 weeks to get my bike serviced. Once I complained they managed to get it serviced the next day. No one was polite and no one acted like they cared about their customers. I would consider going somewhere else and in any event, do not bother with the service plan. Bike is a 4 star, service is a 2 star. read more

I had a horrible experience here. After visiting the store I wanted to test drive a trek bike that was "on their truck". Ryan the salesperson ask me for my credit card to put a $250 charge to hold the bike so they'd have it ready for me to test when it arrived. He said the deposit would go towards the purchase. If I changed my mind or decided on something else all I needed to do was call and they'd credit my card. WRONG information! I called the next morning after visiting another bike store and decIding to purchase a "Specialized" brand bike, and told this store to credit me the $250 deposit. I was told they'd "relay" the message. Finally after multiple calls with mostly leavIng voicemail messages with no call back to me, I lodged a dispute with my CHASE credit card so I don't have to pay the $250. Also, I finally got through to a live person at the store today..8 days later, spoke with Gio the manager. To receive credit I need to physically return to the store which is a 25 mile drive with my credit card. The salesman had never told me this up front. I would never recommend this store. If this is a representation of their customer service up front, I can only imagine the nightmare if you actually had a problem with a bike purchased there. Steer clear and go elsewhere. read more

I cannot say enough great things about my experience at Trek of Estero. Michael and Tony took great care of us by really understanding what we were trying to do. There was no upsell at any point and they really wanted to make sure we were getting the right bike that fit our needs. After we bought our 2 bikes we took in 4 other family members and these guys paid great attention to detail on every bike. We have dealt with the service department a few times as well and these guys are also great. They take the bikes in immediately and make the proper adjustments to make the bike just right. I walked in off the street not knowing anything about biking and I left educated, with 2 great bikes, and a few new good friends at Trek. What else could you ask for! read more

I had a trek tri bike and due to injury decided to try a road bike. I wanted to check out a couple different brands. Went to Naples Cyclery and Estero Trek. The staff at NC didn't want to sell a bike. All they did was point out a couple bikes. Didn't seem to be into what they were selling. Trek staff not only asked a bunch questions, they also talked about riding, they also offered and almost insisted that I take one out for a test ride. Even said I could go home and get my clips and shoes and try with them. That was never offered at Naples cyclery. Do you homework before purchasing a bike. This bike was in the $5000.00 to $7000.00 range. Since the road bike purchase I bought a mountain bike. Never went anywhere else. Great store as well as staff. read more
