When an assistant put the crown on the prepared tooth, It…read morepopped off and fell to the floor, I called her back and she picked it up and wiped it off then put it back on my tooth. a few days ago (april 2019) The crown fell out when chewing a bagel. I went back to have it re-cemented as it still fit tightly and was obviously just poorly installed. But was asked if my insurance was still active and that x-rays would be required. This after I asked to have the tooth re-cemented and installed properly, and That I would pay upfront for any items used up to 80 dollars which I felt was fair, as my other 6 crowns dating back 30 years to 6 months are all still in my mouth and looking great from other dentists. You decide if you want to put up over 1000, dollars for a crown that lasts 6 1/2 years, and no guarantee, or doing what I feel would have been the right thing to do and simply re-cement the tooth by dr poustie instead of an assistant, And me paying for the materials used.
