Slava has an incredibly artistic eye towards romance and brings and ethereal dream-like quality to his photos, without compromising spontaneity and a "candid-feel" to his photos. Simply said, he captures every aspect of your love, on film. Slava's helpful tips for all aspects of our wedding planning literally saved us thousands. He's been in the wedding business for 20+ years, and has some incredibly helpful advice, well beyond photography. One of the most wonderful recommendations he made, was doing a pre-wedding shoot (HIGHLY recommend) at Las Velas. If you don't know of this place, you MUST check it out. It is gorgeous and very inexpensive to use as a stunning backdrop for a romantic bridal shoot (see photos below). Slava was exceptionally skillful at posing us just perfectly (literally, he would pose our bodies to the millimeter to get the most perfect photo). His technical skills are outstanding, but honestly, he's an artist! Slava was quick to communicate through every step of the process (he responded typically in a matter of minutes). He masterfully guided us through both the pre-wedding shoot and the wedding/reception photos. The finished product? Beyond our WILDEST EXPECTATIONS. No lie. We never imagined we could look so great, and that our love for one another could be captured on film. Slava did it. Our final photo album is absolutely gorgeous and we will display it proudly on our coffee table to share with friends and family. Be sure to purchase the copyrights to the photos and get all of the jpeg images, as those are wonderful for social media and sending to friends and family. We would give Slava a TEN STAR rating if there were such a thing. We interviewed several photographers with vastly inferior work for twice the price. BOOK HIM!!!

Well I received several recommendations but none just wow'd me and I figured I should search Yelp duh why wouldn't a Yelp Elite come to Yelp 1st right?? Well because sometimes my fellow Yelpers are foodies and we review what we do most so I checked for local photographer and came across this hidden gem (ok hidden to me) but it's no secret to Friendswood and I'm excited to say I'm looking forward to my daughters session; from the few pics on Yelp to their Instagram I knew I wanted to have her session done by this genius!!! We have gone to the consultation and my quiet daughter was open and speaking with Mr David like she's known him so I know they will have a great session!! So looking forward to June!!! With their good recommendation, I decided to use DC Stanley as our wedding photographer. My advice to anyone who is looking for a photographer is to make sure to have a comfortable relationship with good rapport. David (DC Stanley) is very relatable and laid back. Positives: -Price. I think he hits the right price point for me. He has great packages that usually include prints, DVD for the wedding pictures, wedding book and engagement, bridal and wedding sessions. -Quality. The quality of his work is very good. He knows his way around a camera or two! I would go on his website to look at his work. -Misc. They will design invitations, save the dates, etc. I did not use their services for these, but I was aware they do have this available to you. -This is a family business. His wife, "V", does a lot of the business side and she is very responsive to all e-mails and phone calls. His studio is pretty cool. Negatives: -His studio is in Friendswood, so not easy access to everyone in Houston. Although, they are very accommodating when trying to set up a meeting (on Sundays, etc) Overall, he is a great guy and a great photographer! Can't go wrong, but wish me luck on my wedding as I will update once its all over!

Five star experience all the way…read more We asked DV Photography if they would be interested in taking our engagement session and we are so glad we did. I had something in mind (bluebonnet field), but they really rolled with the idea and found us the perfect location! What I like most about Jared and Paul is their enthusiasm to take the best possible pictures all while making sure the client was also having an enjoyable time (which we did!) We spent the entire afternoon with them, finding new locations to shoot. We weren't locked into any particular spot, which we were really appreciative of. While they clarified with us that they had only recently begun their photography business together, their photos proved they had a true talent for this and in no way did we feel like we were with amateurs. They were professional and the photos speak for themselves. (Amazing.) We've had dozens of people share how much they loved the finished images. :) For all our future photography needs we will definitely be calling them again!

He caught all the moments I really wanted, plus some that I didn't even know happened until seeing the pictures! I didn't notice him at all during the ceremony, yet judging by the photos, he was everywhere! Our guests said the same thing - "he was everywhere"! Every single time something happened that I wanted a photo of, there he was already getting set up for the shot! I was amazed. Plus, the guests loved his friendly and easy-going personality. We now have hundreds of photos in an online gallery for us to share with everyone, plus we own the images, so we can print any of the photos we want! I am so glad we used dV for our wedding!

The session itself was great, she allowed us to include pictures with baby and grandparents as well as baby with some sentimental family items and baby alone.
