WARNING: Do NOT book via the automated system I booked to get my hair cut, couloured, and blown dry via the automated system. I got a confirmation email stating that if I had to cancel within 24 hours I would still owe half the amount (approx £100) for missing the appointment. Fair enough - I appreciate that and would have honored it if I had to cancel at the last minute. As it turns out, I left work early and got to the salon promptly on time. I was told they didn't have my booking. I showed my confirmation email (with fee for cancellation). Then, I was told they were having problems with the automated booking system, that no one was available to do my hair - I would only be able to have either the colour done or the cut - not both. AND the service would in any case be with a junior stylist (I had booked with a senior and was willing to pay for it). Uh, no thanks. One star is for the hypocrisy of charging customers half of the cost for cancelling within 24 hours and not offering the customer any compensation when the customer took time away from work and the salon cancelled at the last minute. Bad business practice, Trevor Sorbie. You shouldn't expect to have it both ways. I'm taking my business elsewhere even though the staff in the salon seemed very nice and were very apologetic. Hence, warning - call in to the salon like it's the 1990s, don't trust the automated system. Here's an idea, why not discontinue use of the automated system until it works? Anyway, lots of good reviews so I'm hoping this warning helps you avoid my issue (and get to love the salon like everyone else). read more

You're always greeted by extremely friendly staff at the Hampstead branch, this is a fairly small salon so unlike other, bigger ones you won't be left while your stylist rushes off to deal with another couple of clients they have in at the same time. They give free consultations to those first timers, so you can get an idea if they can achieve what you're looking for. I first started visiting this salon when it first opened around...maybe 5 or so years ago, and haven't been elsewhere for my colour since. The stylists really listen to what you want and will always advise against something they don't feel would suit you, or compliment you but will offer an alternative which I feel is missing in a lot of salons. I've been so so many before who have agreed to do whatever I ask for, even if it looks terrible at the end of the appointment or just has come out looking completely different to what I requested! You will not find that problem here. Staff are very friendly, extremely well informed and trained in their respective areas of skills, from colour, cuts, up dos or just a blow dry. Plus, the head massages are to die for! I've nearly fallen asleep at the sink one too many times. If you're still searching for your new regular hair salon, I'd definitely recommend giving these guys a go! read more

This last years' colour hiccup was corrected by Trevis a month later, and since then had more lowlights put in by him, which were just perfect! :-) However, I was recently told that Trevis has left the salon and moved abroad...so I am now hoping to find another colourist of similar expertise who understands my colour psychology and hair! read more

After my not so great experience elsewhere in Hampstead, I thought I would try Trevor Sorbie. The salon itself Is wonderful. Beautifully done and lovely atmosphere. The haircut was ok, not the best, but on the whole not bad. It has grown out fairly well. I think I will return, it is a little pricey, though. read more
