The cafe is exactly what you'd expect from an eating establishment at a farm park with exposed brick walls, wooden beams, heating provided by a log burner and to finish things off a couple of cart wheels hanging on one of the walls. There's an outdoor courtyard with additional seating (weather permitting) which is home to a huge BBQ pit. The venue holds special events from time to time with live music on occasions. It's also licenced for weddings and can be hired for private parties. The food on offer in the cafe is mainly traditional British with Welsh meats being used (although you don't yet have the option of popping outside to pick the particular animal you want to eat). Where they come into their own is with their Sunday lunch. There's a two course option for £10 or three courses for £12.95 with kids eating for half price. I started with a prawn cocktail which was nothing out of the ordinary but perfectly acceptable and packed full of juicy prawns and almost a meal in itself. For the main course I opted for beef. I'm a bit wary about ordering beef as a rule as I've been to enough nice places to know that sometimes it can be a bit fatty and it sometimes needs major surgery to separate the meat from the fat. Not in this case though, I can only assume that the cow this beef came from had spent much of it's life on the treadmill as there was no hint of fat at all. I was given a generous portion as well, which coupled with a decent selection of veg means you're sure not to go hungry here. I was a bit full by the time it came to dessert (and yes I have got a healthy appetite) so I passed over the chocolate fudge cake and homemade crumble and opted for some Parisella's of Conwy ice cream which just finished things off nicely, along with a nice pint of Boddingtons. I've also visited the cafe on a weekday to try the Bodafon burger. True, it costs a bit more than you'd pay for a burger in McDonalds, but you get what you pay for and then some and McD's don't cook their burgers on an outdoor barbie! I would go out on a limb and say that this is the best Sunday lunch in Llandudno at present and reasonably priced to boot. And where else can you follow your lunch with a short stroll to visit the llamas?

Chef has a restrained hand with salt, true flavors shine. My pasta with a large hunk of salmon on top was also satisfying. The pasta had a light slightly creamy tomato sauce, which I usually abhor, yet this one tasted perfect with the grilled salmon fillet. Portion sizes are generous. I can eat gargantuan meals, though this one did not rate as that, there is plenty of food on the plate to satisfy a hungry man. Dessert: We shared the rhubarb trifle. Piquant and creamy almost beyond belief. A perfect finish. Drinks: one 50cl of whisky for me with a pint of Snowdonia beer, a glass of champagne for Bambie. They just need a real fire rather than a gas one (or even gas looks-like-fire one). Anyhow the ale and wine was good, followed by a nice coffee. All in all very pleasant. No sign of the old space invaders machine which was such a great feature of old.

The breakfast was full of choices to suite just about any taste. British is style, but, still very good overall. Our dinners were excellent. Rhianne, Chief Steward, was on duty most of the time. She had a complete grasp of the food preparation. The never hesitated to recommend the best menu selections right down to the best Welsh cheese options on the cheese plate. Fish dinners were a top choice. Outstanding!
