Earlier this month I contracted Tri-County Tree Service to remove two red oaks and trim the deadwood on the third one. These were fairly large trees with one of them measuring about 4 feet in diameter at the base. I contact 3 other tree service companies. Brad was the first one to reply and the first one to come for a free estimate. His estimate was the lowest of the ones I received. I was a bit apprehensive about the low bid but I went with Brad based on my personal interaction with him and on the positive reviews. The positive reviews were right on. Brad and his crew came on the scheduled day and worked diligently right through extreme heat, high humidity and a summer thunder storm! Some days they worked until dark - which was nearly 9:00 pm this time of year! I was very impressed with Brad's personal work ethics. Since he's the boss, his crew worked equally hard. There were 8 men on the job and each seemed to have a special task. In addition to the large crew, Tri-County also brought a number of specialized equipment including shredder, cranes of different sizes and heights, trucks and log movers. Since my driveway was newly paved, I requested that the heavy equipment be handled with care so that they do not damage the asphalt. Brad personally see to it that this was done. The job took parts of 4 days. At the end of each day, and at the end of the job, my yard was as clean as when the job was started! Half way through the job I asked for some additional deadwood to be removed. I was willing to pay extra for the additional work. Brad went ahead and removed these branches without charging for the extra work. One of my neighbors is a woodworker and had asked for some of the red oak logs for her work. Brad delivered them to her yard, gratis! In summary, I'm very glad that I had selected Brad for the job. I do not think the other tree service companies could have done a better job, regardless of price. We had a 100' plus tulip poplar that was leaning dangerously toward our neighbor's house & had to come down. We had contacted several tree companies, but had no luck getting any of them to commit to the job- the tree was so close to both our neighbor's & our houses, so each cutting would have to be lowered to the ground. We were fortunate to finally find Tri-County. Brad came out within a couple days & gave us an estimate. We first thought it was a little high, but Brad was so professional & he seemed honest, so we decided to hire them to do the job. Brad & his crew of 6 or so worked tirelessly on that tree for 3 days, taking extra care not to damage any property & not leaving behind unnecessary debris. In the end, we realized the price was more than fair for the wonderful job that they did. We will absolutely use Tri- County again for any future tree work. read more

Tri-County Tree Service did a fantastic job! Brad provided us with a professional drawing of each of five tree's location to be removed coupled with the cost per tree. My wife and I feared that a large pine tree leaning severly towards our bedroom would crash through our roof especially with the strong winds and rain lately. His crew brought some equipment later that afternoon after talking to Brad that morning. Next morning we left for the weekend to visit family in Pennsylvania. Upon our return home the trees were gone and the yard was in the final stages of debri cleanup. They have amazing telescoping cranes that grab the tree high up in the air whereby a built in chain saw cuts through the large trunk just under the grab arms. I would recommend this company to anyone! Brad did a free estimate and was back in two days to do the work. He consulted about other trees and didn't mind add ons after our estimate. He even called to let us know he noticed a few dead branches that could fall at any time so we had him take them down too. They were in and out within a day even with a long list of trees to cut down and cut in to firewood, branching trimming and chipping, stumps to grind and a bush to prune. We have used Tri-County for many years for a variety of outdoor services. They have trimmed trees for us and also removed trees and stumps. The most recent job was to remove a basketball pole! They are very dependable - stick to their quotes and appointment times. When they trim or remove a tree they do an excellent job of cleaning up and taking away all debris - including the basketball pole they removed! The Tri-County Tree Service crew did a terrific job taking down the trees I wanted removed from my property. One was overhanging my house, one was overhangin the pool and the majority of them were difficult to get to but they managed to complete the job without any problems and they left the yard cleaner than it was when they started.
