I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Mr. Brumitt and his karate program. For the first time, my son has found a place where he feels safe, confident, accepted, and genuinely excited to be. On karate days, he starts asking from the moment he wakes up, "How many more minutes until karate?" That kind of excitement says everything. Mr. Brumitt has been absolutely phenomenal with my son. He has a remarkable ability to meet each child where they are while still encouraging them to grow, challenge themselves, and believe in what they're capable of. My son is gaining so much more than karate skills...he's building confidence, resilience, discipline, and self-esteem. As a parent, there's nothing more meaningful than watching someone invest in your child's character with patience, kindness, and genuine care. I enrolled my son for lessons and immediately decided to join as well. We have been taking classes together for a few months and we enjoy every single class. The instructors are fantastic and incredibly patient, the environment is very welcoming and we are constantly learning new material. Reasonably priced, FUN place for birthday parties. The staff makes sure the kids stay safe and enjoy themselves. We've been to several Nerf parties here and have booked a few too. They never fail to provide a great space and entertainment. They also provide invitations. My son, who is almost 4, has been here for about a year. We did some research of the various options in the area and found Tristar to be the best fit for us, and we're really happy with it. The instructors are great and even when my son is having a rough day they can get him back on track and focused pretty quick, which is a feat for any 4 year old, especially mine. Other martial arts locations seemed too "cookie cutter" or almost like a joke, but Tri-Star seems to take it very seriously, which we appreciate, and it's Cristian based. A lot of people locally think that it's too expensive, however it's essentially all inclusive (except for when your child outgrown his/her uniform, but the first one was free). No fees for belt tests, new belts, and all those other fees that seem to ALWAYS come up in martial arts. I highly recommend it, and they have a variety of classes, even MMA, so there's really something for everyone. I know when my son started he got a month free to make sure it was a good fit before we signed up, I would ask about it when you go take a look and see if that's still available! read more
