Because of this abuse, by the time I reached 15, I grew to hate any male that was older than me, each one seen as a threat. I went from religion to religion seeking some kind of light in the dark world that I was in however I never found it. When my son was born, I had the overwhelming fear that what happened to me, I would do to my son, so I sought out professional help. The head shrinks gave me some understanding and helped me just enough that my health insurance would allow, but the rage and hatred was still there. One could say that the rage that was in me was a very very strong demon. By the time I reached my 30s I have been through 7 religions and 3 head shrinks, yet I still had my demon, so to speak. One day a co-worker was telling me about a class that his wife went through and how impressed he was. It got me intrigued enough to do some research then I called. I talked to Natalie for about 30 minutes or so, I must have driven her nuts with all of my questions. Never the less, I signed up for my first class shortly there after. It has been 3 years since that first class, I must say beyond a shadow of a doubt, Pranic Healing has changed my life so much and so fast. Rage, stress, anger, worry, all words that mean so little to me now. The rage and hatred are just about gone. I still have more work to do for myself but Pranic Healing has done so much for my life in 3 years where religion and head shrinks could not do in 38 years. I learned more than I thought possible in both theory and on hands instruction. Natalie and Michael were actual pupils of Master Choa Kok Sui and are true to the original teachings. Nothing was watered down. I really enjoyed the classes and was happy that I was able to get credit for my holistic nursing certification. I am looking forward to possibly taking the pranic psychotherapy course in the future.

With her guidance, our daughter was sleeping independently in her crib from 7pm until 4 or 5am about 4-6 weeks after birth and from 7am-7pm by 12 weeks. We accomplished this without any sleep training with Lee's help. The best part about Lee is that she adapts her guidance to the needs of each family and doesn't have a one size fits all approach. She was easily accessible for any follow up questions and is amazing with babies! Lee was a phenomenal resource for our family during our transition into parenthood. I can't recommend her enough. The money spent hiring her was far more valuable than anything else we purchased for our daughter!

A few details: Post-partum: We worked with Lee to craft a personalized post-partum support schedule that helped us transition to being new parents. Our primary doulas were Kate and Beth, both of whom were amazing. They were generally with us 4 nights per week from 9pm-7am. In addition to caring for our baby overnight so we could get some much needed rest, they were a source of knowledge and comfort. We felt our baby was very safe and secure with them and trusted them 100%. We also had a few day time visit where we could ask questions, try out new things like baby wearing, and get out of the house. Sleep training: We decided to sleep train our baby at about 4.5 months. Lee came to our house and stayed for 3 days straight. During that time she coached us (most important part of sleep training is training the parents that everything will be OK!), monitored the baby at night so we could rest, took extensive notes, and left us with a detailed plan of action. We were amazed at house much progress our baby made in those 3 days. He was literally sleeping through the night and falling asleep/putting himself back to sleep with minimal crying. Lee provided a month of ongoing phone, email and text support, where we could ask questions and plan for things like sleeping elsewhere, car rides, disruptions to our schedule, etc. We give Doulas of Philadelphia our strongest endorsement. If you are looking for highly experienced, professional, loving, and kind people to help you transition into parenthood or when you are expanding your family, definitely consider their services.

And they work with your insurance AND will call your doctor to get prescriptions AND deliver to your home or office. And they can do consultations. And I can get the big ticket medical supplies there (like walkers, canes, crutches, etc.) covered through medicare. It's a one stop shop for everything I need. And BTW there's gas station / convenience store right next to them. And the Market St. & 63rd St. metro stop half a block away.
