I have always had a good experience while there and referred many friends and family members. Today however on the phone was a different story. Whoever (female) makes there calls needs coaching on her tone and the way she talks to people. First of all, she called me at work to confirm my pets appt AGAIN for the next day. I said yes, we would be there. She continued to say due to my missed appointments they needed a $50 dep to keep my appt. OK? since when?? When did I miss an appt? Why have I never been told this before? I come there all the time. I have 3 pets. When I asked that, they couldn't even find a missed appt. It has seemed to me that ever since they got their new building and new management, there customer service has gone to just crap!!!! (which I heard is the vet's wife...shouldn't mix business and home life) - this explains poor customer service. I am so disappointed. What was once my favorite place to go has now insulted me, added to my troubles, and left me sad and feeling bad, and my poor baby still needs to be seen. I will miss my vet and Mindy. Please send all my records to my new office upon request. Hopefully your office works on your customer service skills because believe me, I'm not the only one who feels this way!!! You have lost my pets and all I have referred for sure. They were on the fence since the new building anyway. This so makes me sad greed sucks

We love this clinic. We have been customers for about twenty five years after using other clinics…read more They helped us keep our last cat alive and happy by showing us how to care for him using IVs and we did that for a couple years at increasing frequency. When the cat finally reached the point where he was in pain, we called Dr. Hemmingstad's cell phone right away and he met us at his clinic on New Years Day morning to help us kindly put the cat down. He didn't charge us extra for an emergency visit, even though we would have happily paid him. We had that sweet cat for 19 years and 11 months, the Humane Society told us that he and his sister were 3-5 years old when we brought them home. He lived for 23 to 25 years - a great run for a cat which suffered from UT issues his whole life. Lakepart Veterinary is not the kind of clinic where they are going to use a lot of baby talk on your pet, but they are paying attention, they are kind, honest and direct, and they don't pad your bill with unnessary charges like so many other places.

He showed no concern for my cat when I explained everything that was going on. A few months back we took our cat in to get checked as he was showing signs of diabetes so we SPECIFICALLY asked for him to be checked for diabetes & have blood work done. The vet brushed it off as nothing & said my cat was just a little overweight. Fast forward to a few days ago, we took our cat in again to be checked as new symptoms have showed up recently. Dr Steve showed no concern whatsoever AGAIN & didn't even bother to examine him or run any blood work this time. Again he brushed it off as nothing & said it was issues with his food so he just sold us a $40 bag of food. So today we took him to a different vet for a second opinion, come to find out he does in fact have diabetes & neuropathy & they said this should have been caught in the tests that were supposedly done MONTHS ago!! When it came time for them to transfer records, there was NOTHING in the records showing he had any blood work done or anything about his injury he had years ago, there were hardly any records at all. DO NOT trust this vet. I'm beyond upset, these people clearly don't care about our pets. Safe to say I will NEVER be going back. If you love your fur babies you definitely shouldn't take them here.

We scheduled an appointment and when we showed up and were put into a room the vet came in and "examined" her. She was squeezing her hurt paw and then called her temperamental when she was screaming in pain. She then proceeded to tell us after her 2 min "examination" that our cat had a mass on her foot that could be cancer and that we needed to amputate her due claw to biopsy it, we didn't feel right about this because of how fast she came to a conclusion in such a short time but we scheduled an appointment or amputation anyways. A few days later our cat was meowing and groaning in pain so we called our usual vet we take our dogs to, we wanted an x ray which this place refused at our previous visit. We went to this appointment at the Elk Creek Animal Hospital and while we were in the waiting room one of her nails fully fell out of her paw, after she was examined and got an x-ray they told us her paw was just swollen and there was no sign of a mass or anything cancerous, not to mention they were very gentle and attentive to her and they actually listened to us and we very understanding! I do not recommend this place at all please keep your animals safe.
