Dr. Wong was recommended to me by a family member and he has been my doctor, my wife's doctor, and…read moremy son's doctor for many years. He was also my mother's doctor before her passing from cancer. I read some reviews below talking about wait times. I can sympathize with their frustration, but I have never witnessed some of the times mentioned below. I know from experience that doctors don't run late because they are out playing golf. They run late for reasons like: they were responding to a hospital or care facility for a patient emergency or people show up late to their appts in the office which pushes ALL of the office schedule out of alignment for the rest of the day - the only way to recover would be to either cancel appts or he skips lunch for the entire office. I never doubt for a moment that he doesn't have myself or my families needs and concerns at heart. When my mom was in the hospital with a medical emergency, and her assigned doctor wasn't taking her recovery seriously (risking a case of renal failure), I brought in doctor Wong who took over and saved my mom's kidneys and probably her life too. My mom stayed with him as her doctor even after she was diagnosed with cancer that took her in two months. Dr. Wong was always attentive and honest about her outlook. He even called me after hours many times to check on my mom, discuss my mom's health and cancer, and was there for my mom and I when she was passing. He knew she was not a fan of doctors and he tailored his care and responses to try and put her at ease and encourage her continued interaction in her preventative care. He even recommended a fantastic heart doctor for my mom. My interactions with doctor Wong have been the same. He's honest and upfront about medical issues. He refers me to specialists when the need calls for it, and he doesn't just come in and lift my arm and walk out. He thoroughly regards all of my health history to help try and keep my healthy. He even operates two offices - one in Dublin and one in Livermore at the time of this review (I think he had one in Pleasanton that closed). This helps make his services available to multiple areas of the community. I trust doctor Wong and appreciate his care.

Referrals to the correct physician and maintenence of the patients care. In return we were so dissappointed in the office including the staff. As a representative of the Stanford Healthcare you expect excellence in knowledge and care for your patients and their needs. I did all the work to get my dad to the right physicians. When we needed paperwork filled out she was unable to assist as she lacked the knowledge of how to fill out paperwork (i.e disablity paperwork or family paperwork to care for declining family members...etc) My father was diagnosed with multiple myeloma and had been seeing Oncologists locally whome are treating his cancer. He ended up fracturing both hips due to the cancer, my father was hospitalized for almost a month and is now recovering in a rehabilitation center. During that time, we notified Dr. WIllkom's office so she would be aware in the events she refused to follow up. I as a Stanford Health Care Hospital employee am very disappointed in this office. I work directly with physicians and advanced medical providers who provide C-I-CARE for their families. We Stanford employees are highly trained on how to treat patients and their family members. This office clearly needs to repeat their HEALTHSTREAM modules!!

For the review on that nightmare in and of itself, please see the review for Valley Medical Center in Pleasanton, CA. They basically released me with no relief and a lot of drugs which did nothing for my pain. I went home and passed out. A few hours later I woke up in excruciating pain again. I called my mom, who said to make an appointment at Tri Valley Physicians. The woman on the phone was extremely rude and curt, but able to get me an appointment about an hour later. I went in and saw Dr. Jerry Yen. He seemed to be pretty knowledgable and sent me for an ultrasound. It was too late to schedule an appt that day so I called first thing this morning to schedule an appt. Luckily I hadn't eaten or drank anything since about 10pm last night, so I tried to make an appt. They couldn't see me until 7:15 tomm morning and I told them I couldn't wait and if there was anything I could do. They said if the dr office called and requested me a spot today that I could get seen today. So I called....note: it took me 4 tries to get someone in the office who would even listen to get me to the right person. They were able to get me an appt for 1pm today. I went and had the ultrasound. I called Dr. Yen on my way to the ultrasound to see if he could get the results and see me today as my pain had not gotten any better. He said he'd see me at 9:30 tomm morning. He called back about 5 minutes later and told me he'd actually move his schedule around and see me at 4:30 pm today. Things were going really well with this doctor.. so I thought. When I arrived at 4:25 I was told I didn't have insurance by one of the beasts behind the counter. I was like "uhm, excuse me.. I had insurance yesterday and it sure as shit didn't disappear overnight" I had to give them my card again and they had to re-enter all my info. 15 mins later as I'm crying in pain in the waiting room, they finally called me back. The nures was fabulous. She was extremely sweet and caring, and listened to all my complaints. She went and got Dr. Yen for me. When he came in he said "well Kelly, I don't know what to tell you. your ultrasound came back clear so there's nothing we can do for you." At the same time I got hit with yet another crippling pain and started crying hard. He went to go get my x-ray results from the Er and when he came back in I was still crying. when he walked in, in a very stren tone, he says "Vicki, you need to cool it. What do you want me to do? Admit you to the hospital?" I said "ok, first of all, get your patients straight, that's not my name, secondly I'm not trying to tell you how to do your job, but you cannot just give up on me. I cannot continue along with the pain I'm experiencing. I have missed 2 days of work already and I'm a manager on a comission job." he says "Well KELLY, what do you want me to do? how about you be the doctor. what should we do Dr. KELLY" i told him it was unnecessary to patronize me and explained that I understand its not his fault that we can't figure this out, but that had I not been proactive in my own treatment I wouldnt have even had an ultrasound today and seen him, and that it would be another few days before I had even gotten the results. I told him that if he was just that ready to give up on me then maybe I needed to see another doctor. I further explained that everyone I had encountered through this whole ordeal except the nurses at his practice had all been extremely rude and belittling and that this was not his fault but that it was his job to do everything he can to help me find an answer. After patronizing me some more and the unnecessary emphasis on my name he said "well KELLY, I don't know what else to do, i'm going to refer you to someone who can handle you and further investigate, meanwhile I'll order a CT scan if thats what you want." (note: he said someone who can handle me, not my case) I told him I will do whatever it takes to get this figured out and i appriciate his time. he mumbled something underhis breath and walked out without saying anything else. At this point i'm bawling. I can't handle the rude, cold, harsh, patronizing tone in his voice. The nurses were extremely concerned for me and assured me that they would handle my case and expedite everything so that I could get some answers as to why i'm in so much pain. I gave them a re-cap of what had happened in the room, they didn't seem surprised, and the head nurse said she has a huge problem with the way I was treated and would talk with the appropriate authorities. I felt much more comfortable in the hands of the nurses than the doctor whos supposed to be caring for me. Caring is the last thing on his mind. We shall see how this turns out as I'm going in for my CT scan in the morning... AVOID THIS PRACTICE
