I've been coming to Amber for 2 years and she does a phenomenal job! She's fantastic at dimensional brunettes, I've never left her chair feeling like she didn't get what I was asking for. I went in for just a touch up of the same highlights I had before and a few more under where I put my hair up. When I left the salon it looked good, the next day it was pure brass. I don't know if the lighting is different in the salon or if there was some sort of product that was left on that did this but I went back to have it corrected and as a " solution" I was toned a uniform dark golden brown. Same thing where I left the salon and it looked darker, but you could still see highlights. The next day it was completely uniform. This stylist had corrected the exact same problem months earlier, at the time she was able to tell me what the other stylist did wrong but I guess this time when she did the exact same thing, it's somehow me, not them. When I tried to come back again, already having wasted a lot of my time going back-and-forth to these appointments, and having spent over $400 for the experience, I was told that the owner would see me. She told me my hair was now too damaged to fix it, she mentioned some error that the stylist had done with how she cut it, she gave me a balm to help the jagged, over-thinned layers and told me she would see me herself in another four weeks. I was actually impressed because she did refund the bad service and said she would take care of it herself. She also commented that I don't look "bad", though she recognizes but it's not what I wanted. When I called to try to follow up on the appointment she had made, I was told I don't have an appointment, and I have been ghosted by the Salon in response to three phone calls, voicemails and text (only because a colleague said they are busy and suggested I try again). At this point it's pretty obvious that it's not just that they're busy. I was super polite the whole time, and super patient but it is absolutely unacceptable to tell someone you're making them an appointment to fix something that you did wrong and then not follow through (which is not ambiguous- she just didn't lighten me far enough, possibly because it was taking so long and then tried to cover it with a dark toner the second time, which is also quicker than actually fixing the mistake with more highlights and lowlights). They already took six hours of my time for what should've been two. And then I would have planned my schedule around this appointment that didn't exist. The salon will text you multiple times threatening you that if you don't show up for your appointment or even try to reschedule within 48h , you have to pay 50% of the service. And that was the case when I tried to reschedule less than 20 mins into that deadline once so I just moved my other plans since it's typically ~$400+. The first time I came there, after deciding on a balayage, the stylist actually brought me a whole iPad with a contract to sign stating that I will pay for the service. I was surprised and thought it was odd (and rude) but didn't say anything. They're pretty concerned about their time, but not about yours, apparently. I wouldn't recommend them. read more

Tribe offers online booking. I've been here twice and both times there wasn't an issue. This third attempt was terrible. I booked my appointment and agreed to the "you must pay 50% if you cancelled with less than 48 hours notice" One day before my appointment they texted me and said they wouldn't actually be able to schedule my appointment. After I expressed my disappointment, they offered me a different time / different stylist / same day. I show up for my appointment only to be told (by stylist) that she doesn't cut men's hair. Tribe Salon makes you agree to pay them if you cancel because their time is valuable. Apparently they don't think MY time is valuable. They gave me no time to get an appointment elsewhere and offered no solution for my time that they wasted. read more

I scheduled an appointment for balayage and ended up paying $450+ and sitting at the salon for over 5 hours to be told by friends that my hair looks darker than before. I showed them pictures of how MY hair has been done before with the same service and it looks nothing like any of the pictures. I have medium brown hair and usually go pretty blonde and it is SO disappointing to have people say your hair looks DARKER after such a long and expensive service. During my time getting foils and having my hair brushed out I was in pain as my hair was being pulled after I mentioned I'm very tender headed. I had to have my hair toned AGAIN after the first tone and blow dry because my hair around my face was literally grey. I paid SO much money and sat there for hours to just receive a service that is completely not what I asked for. I specifically mentioned that I wanted to go much lighter and back to how blonde I used to be and I was given basically the opposite somehow. I am so disappointed and upset and do not recommend this place at all. By far the most I have ever paid for a service and longest it has ever taken. read more

Ali at Tribe forever !! Literally ...like I trust her method so much.... This past time I have been happier than ever-- I've had really bad damage and when first saw her had realllllllly grown out roots and she has worked with me always listening to what I want to do and like when you have hair like mine that is delicate it's going to take a few times to get what you want bc my new growth was so much ...and like after this last time seeing her --- my hair is so great . What's cool about tribe is that they offer a different price scale based on the stylists experience. When I first came in back in like September 2022 they shot me so straight which I so appreciate- I had booked with a senior stylist and she was like ok so hey if I do this it's going to be like 400$ but if you go to the apprentice who I trained it will be way less... so they let me rebook and I started with Ali when she was an apprentice and she's always done so well with my hair and I am like proud to say I have stayed with her as she's moved up and am more than happy to pay more now that's she's not an apprentice bc like she's so worth it -- I'm just so happy with how she's done my hair and how she always listens... as I've said I've had really bad damage and used to have hair sooo much longer before the damage, so never wanted to cut off too much in trims and Ali has always done the best to help me meet my exact hair goals. I got my hair done on January 30th and it still looks and feels fantastic! It's hard to be a natural brunette with blonde healthy hair. However, all the blondes out there should be thankful; Jessica is a true master at what she does. Even the grow out is so good people are still asking me if I just got my hair done. And a shoutout to Amber who has the hands of an angel...foil removal and blowout completely pain free! I did have to wait a little bit but I honestly didn't mind bc I wouldn't expect my hair to be rushed through and Jessica is a perfectionist, so it's worth the wait. I brought a book and it was nice. Bring one if you're impatient. Overall, 5-stars isn't enough. The people, the products, (B&B truly amazing) the salon, (so cute, them ladies got style ) are all incredible. My whole experience here was great from the scheduling to the shampoo to the haircut itself! Dylan gave me the best head massage while shampooing my hair. They used great smelling products. The whole experience was horrible. I had an appointment with Tiffany for 2 PM on Friday, 2/11 that I had made weeks in advance. At 11 AM the day of, Tiffany texts me to ask if I can arrive by 12PM - a full 2 hours before my appointment. I said I could not because I work. Then she asked if I could come in Saturday, 2/12. The answer was also no because I was going to be in Atlanta. There is a reason I booked it for that Friday at the time I did. She then switched me out for someone else and told me to arrive as soon as possible. When I arrived at around 1:45PM, no explanation was given as for the change. Not even an apology or greeting from Tiffany, despite me sitting in the chair next to hers. She was working on someone else, who turned out to be the mother of the salon owner. Then about 30 minutes later, I saw Tiffany in a chair getting hair extensions put in by another stylist! So basically, I had to rearrange my schedule so homegirl could get HER hair done during HER working day. To add insult to injury, I asked for a rich chocolate brown glaze and the stylist glazed my hair black. The sad part is I've had previous positive experiences at Tribe. I don't know what was going on that day, but I will not be going back. read more

I paid $90 for a hair cut. no color, nothing else just a hair cut and I didn't even get what i wanted done. she washed my hair, cut off an inch and dried it. Im not very picky about my hair, but the few things that I'd like, I would like to have done. don't come here. it's a waste of your money, you'll just have to spend more to go somewhere else to get what you actually want done. read more

I debated on reviewing them for a hot second but I have heard this from multiple other girls so I figured I should warn y'all. If you don't want extensions you probably shouldn't go here. And I highly recommend looking at the stylists instagram to see what they specialize in. Again, coming from multiple girls, we have all agreed that the workers at Tribe do not listen to what you want. Whether it's with color, or in my case a hair cut, the stylist did NOT do what I asked for and completely ruined my hair. If they aren't as comfortable with cutting hair as they are with coloring or extensions then put it on your website and make it known. I would've rather cancelled my appointment right before if they were not comfortable cutting my hair then having to deal with this mess until it grows back out. Absolutely disappointed and cried for hours after my appointment because she cut so deep into my hair and made it look like it broke off. If y'all want creative freedom then cut hair off a doll and not someone who has to try to style her hair on the daily so it doesn't look terrible. read more

I had a great experience with Melissa about a year ago, but things have changed at Tribe. I recently booked an appointment with Brooke because a Saturday slot opened up and her pictures on Instagram looked awesome. First of all, there is such a bitchy atmosphere at Tribe now and that's not ideal for any service industry - getting your hair done is suppose to be a fun and relaxing experience, especially when you're paying $300 for a haircut and highlights! Tribe is expensive but I used to think it was worth it... not anymore. Not to mention, I was charged $50 for toner that I had no idea I was getting because no one mentioned it to me beforehand. I might've been willing to let that slide if my hair looked great but it didn't and still doesn't. It's been a week now, and my roots already look grown out which I was clear about not wanting to happen since my hair grows so fast!! Also, the blending doesn't look that great either (sigh)... I called about the toner charge and nothing was done. I'm sure Brooke is a talented stylist but I didn't seem to be much of a priority to her that day considering I spent more time with the shampoo girl (no joke)... I usually don't leave reviews but I felt inclined to help other people avoid wasting their time and hard earned money at Tribe. read more

I scheduled my appointment about a month in advance and I traveled from Atlanta to get my hair done the day before to get it done and they called me the morning of my appointment letting me know my appointment was canceled. I came in the next day because I was super desperate to get my hair done with a different stylist than who I had booked with before. First off, she was SO rough with my hair and yanked my hair with her brushes. It literally felt like my hair was getting ripped out when she was taking out my foils and when she was teasing it. Not to mention she kept scorching my hair with HOT, HOT water. I kept telling her it was way too hot. This isn't even the end of my terrible experience. I showed the stylist exactly what I wanted to begin with and the outcome was a complete different style than what I wanted and had in mind. I showed her multiple pictures of the same hair style/color. I asked her if we could redo some of it and she gave me such a rude attitude. I'm very upset that I ended up paying 250+ for something I didn't even ask for to begin with and felt like I couldn't tell her what I didn't like about it because she was being so rude. Luckily the owner Jessica was there to guide her through how to kind of fix it. I had higher expectations from Tribe. :(( read more
