Not sure I would've ever came here if it wasn't for a car show that was in the parking lot, but I was glad that I did! The service was awesome and so weren't the drinks and appetizers! This was my first time at Trillium and it was a very quick experience, so I didn't get to stay long or try any of the entrees, but I can honestly say this is exactly the type of experience I want every time I step into any restaurant/bar!

OMG. This was my second visit (and my friend second visit) to Trillium. Today (7/31/26) my friend and I had (sorry no pic) Under Snacks The Olives and the Dry Rub Smoked Chicken Wings. Then the Pepperoni Pizza. Along with my ( House Vodka) Martini 's and his house made Vodka Mango Seltzer's. Steve our Bartender was great and customer service. Although it was 12.:30 pm the Ambiance was perfect. Best 3/hours with a Great Friend. Thanks

The size of a beer focused aircraft hangar with loads of activités and areas for people to gather. Truly immense. Great Trillium beer selection, obviously, and nice collection of wines and great food. Service teams were lovely and great for groups!

A well crafted Mexican Chocolate Stout

Friday night of a 3-day weekend during peak holiday season in New England is probably not the best time on which to base a review - or to actually visit a place like this, very crowded. But a group of us went anyway. We all enjoyed our beers. I was pleased to be able to sample a well-crafted Mexican Chocolate Stout. But first-time visitors might have an awkward time unless they're paying close attention. We walked right to the bar area, right past a desk with a floor-level sign saying you had to check in there to get a table. We had no problem getting our beers, but when we went to a table, a waitress very politely asked us if we had been seated, and told us we should to back to that front desk. If we did not want to do that, there was one area (not full), where we could sit and place an online order for food which would be brought to us. The front desk told us there would be a 45 minute wait, so we opted for the second option. But here, too, the website said there would be at least a 35 minute wait to have food delivered. So this time, we passed on food. So the moral is, if you're only here for the beer, you will be fine and have a great time. If you want food as well, you will need to gauge the size of the crowd here. I'd certainly come back for beer, and I'd also order food during slower times.

Latest update: Swung in on our way home and grabbed some drinks and dinner on a Saturday around 4:30. Hostess was much more helpful than last time and wait was less than predicted. Sadly I think it's because they never cleaned the table. After we got that cleaned up and dried (they have paper menus that they put down in the puddles of the previous diners drink condensate that had accumulated on the table) we had some delicious drinks. I noticed when the table on the side of us left they also did not clean the table before seating the next party. Not sure what was going on that they kept forgetting? The cornbread was to die for. I could go back and eat 3 orders of it myself. The pretzel was basically a super pretzel and the mustard was fairly plain. The pizzas are always good especially the roni but our cheese only was a little under done and for some reason had basil on only one side. I liked the basil but it made me wonder if we either got someone else's pie or if it was just poor distribution. Our server was very attentive and overall it was a good experience!

Awesome brewery! Tons of seating, they even have a patio that's open in the warmer weather! We lucked out and they had live music when we visited- such a fun touch! Service was attentive and friendly. Food was good - loved all the apps and small bites we got. We weren't crazy about the pizza so would skip that when we come back. Cute merch too!

The beer & the space are the highlight here. The place is vast with plenty of places to have a drink. The beers are fantastic & varied, as expected from trillium. The Cuban, grain bowl & French fries were all delicious but not really anything special. I would get food here again but not come here just for the food. Great place to pick up cases of beer on a drive through. I went during a weekday so it wasn't busy but the service could have been a little quicker given the lack of people dining at the time.

I have to start that the beer is great and the variety in indoor and outdoor space makes visiting Trillium good for all groups and occasions. It is a big space so you see a lot of different staff members moving about, either waiting on tables or filling water stations etc. staff are friendly and approachable but not annoying, saying "hi" half a dozen times before you find a spot to hang. While the beer is world class, the food is "ok" but at a premium price, and really the only area for improvement and where minus points came from. At the time of posting, it was $12 for the chicken tenders (see small takeout container with 5 pieces of chicken) and the pizzas range from $22-24 for maybe an 8-10" thin crust pizza. These pizzas were also not exactly bursting with flavor.

I had two sours and they were really good. We also had the cornbread and the fries which were both tasty. The service is where it fell for me and it was pretty bad. We had empty beers water everything for 10 minutes while our server nonchalantly walked by us at least 5 times. Then I asked for a sample of a beer, and sat there for 10 minutes again after wanting to order a beer. My mistake getting a sample while our server was already basically ignoring us as it was.

    Fruited beers here at Trillium.

I enjoyed the fruited beers here at Trillium. I was hoping for a flight but they don't offer that here, you are more than welcome to try any beer before you order so I would certainly recommend trying anything you are unsure of.

Exceptional brewery! I've been to so many breweries throughout New England and this is easily one of the best. Everything here is top notch: the beers, the food, the beautiful (and HUGE) campus the brewery sits on... If you're a stout fan, this is the place to be! Nobody does a stout like Trillium; smooth as can be, high ABV and delicious flavor. They can easily get dangerous very quickly... The pizza here is absolutely fantastic, which is unexpected at a brewery. It's a neapolitan-style as they have huge wood-fired pizza ovens that are out on display in the bar area. I would definitely recommend checking this place out! :)

The pizza was the worst I have had in many years. Greasy, oily and way overpriced. Trillium should be embarrassed. It spoiled the evening.

What food items are available when only the Taproom (not the restaurant) is open?

We have a selection of light, packaged snacks available at our Taproom, usually including chips, pretzels, hummus, and salsa.

Do they have heated outdoor patio?

We went 3 weeks ago and it was not heated, but I'm not sure if they added them since it got cooler.

How do i reach a human?

    Go to the bar

Do they offer free wifi? *As of 10/25/18, free wifi avail "Trillium Guest"

Not the last time I went but that may have changed in the past couple of months. Just heard they do have wifi!!! 'Merica!!!

    Is there food?

They have food trucks often. You can see on their website under events when and what the truck is.

What does 'no samping/full pours' mean? Does that mean they have taster flights or that you cannot get anything outside of cans?

Devon, you can also buy/fill growlers at the Fort Point Boston location, as well as all their swag like T-shirts and brew glasses.

Is this location still dog-friendly as of May 2017?

Dogs are no longer allowed as of October 2020

From crisp lagers to bold IPAs, the selection is solid, flavorful, and well-crafted. Whether you're a hop head or just looking for something smooth, there's something here for every palate. Friendly Staff The team behind the bar is welcoming, knowledgeable, and quick to offer recommendations. Service is efficient and upbeat, which adds to the overall positive vibe. Kid Overload Unfortunately, the atmosphere takes a hit. At 6:00 pm 8:00, the taproom felt more like a daycare than a brewery. Tables were dominated by birthday parties and families with small children eating cupcakes. While some may appreciate the family-friendly approach, it's jarring for those expecting a classic bar experience. If you're looking for a chill adult night out, this might not be the spot--especially on weekends. Final Thoughts Castle Island has the bones of a great brewery: excellent beer and great staff. But the overwhelming presence of kids makes it hard to relax or socialize. If they offered adult-only hours or designated family times, it could strike a better balance.

The weather, the beer, the food and a fun barmaid in a wood paneled pub are all single qualifies that makes me harken back to my past, living in London and then in North Wales in the 1980s. And the other patrons, Americans all, still were like an American version of an English pub crowd. There were young and old, posh business types, sitting next to manual laborers.. The barmaid (whose name was known by most of the regulars there, although I have forgotten it (alas I must be getting old!) is a pistol. Always chatting and joking, while she poured pints, and even Bells scotch, which is a standard blend found in just about every pub in England. The only sense that was missing was the ubiquitous scent of wood (oak) found in almost all of the pubs in Britain. That unmistakable scent you can find in the many old (generally Irish) pubs around Faneuil Hall, btw. When I asked the barmaid (always smiling and laughing) about the fish n chips, she gave a wink and said "ooh, Love. Ya picked the best day for that. The fish is delivered from the dock every Wednesday." I ordered a pint of Smithwicks ale to enjoy at the bar, as she took my order for fish n chips. She leaned forward and whispered to me, somewhat conspiratorially, that it's served with salad, as the owner has not yet found a coleslaw recipe that meets his standards. Very evocative again. I watched, listened and drank my ale deeply, as the barmaid described another barmaid as "so wonderful, the only thing missing is there should be two of her!" We all nodded and laughed. Fun place. The fish n chips arrived hot, very fresh and perfectly crunchy with beer batter. The chips (fries) were hand cut, as you could see the small bits of potato skin at the ends. Served with a very attractive and crunchy salad, and of course malt vinegar, it was a bargain at a lower price than the $20+ charged at many local watering holes. I ordered another pint, and then dug in. It was very fresh and somewhat thick piece cod. The flesh of the fish separates into large fleshy flakes under the crispy beer batter, and the chips had flavor (as opposed to the more common extruded fries usually found here). But it's more than just the food and the bar. The atmosphere at this pub is so very real--sort of the best aspects of some nice neighborhood cozy pubs in Britain. If it's cold outside, you can just shamble in, and rub your hands together and mutter "lovely" as you savor your drink and food. Welcome!

There's a pool table in the rear. Tables had nice space between them; we didn't feel crowded in.
