I moved to Edinburgh in September 2014 to begin working in one of the cities hospitals. Once I had got myself settled I set about joining a gym. I was fairly new too training in gyms and in the past most of my exercise would have come from training for the various sports that I played in school, university and recreationally. So I thought it would be wise to take up with a personal trainer for a bit of guidance, education and motivation. I searched the internet and although there were endless amounts of PT's offering their services in the Edinburgh area, Trilliums Fitness' ad was the only one that really appealed to me. Their focus on a person centred approach and consideration of all aspects of their clients lifestyles being the main reasons for this.
I contacted Jonathan both via email and text message saying that I was interested in Trilliums ad and in no time at all he had replied with a very welcoming message asking if i would like to meet up and talk further about what himself and Trillium fitness where about. We met and he talked me through what the process would involve and the commitment I would have to make to achieve my goals. He told me to take some time to think it over but by the time we had finished spoken I knew this is who i wanted to learn from.
Trillium really do leave no stone unturned. They not only look at the obvious areas such as diet and exercise, they also target other important aspects of their clients lives such as sleep, occupation, work shifts and other sports you take part in. With the information and feedback they are provided from clients, they tailor-make diet plans and work-outs, going into such incredible detail and effort that all those who train with them need to do is turn up, be willing to learn and be committed. I think it is important to highlight that Trillium do not force this lifestyle on anyone and do their utmost to work around their clients and their lives.
I have been training with Trillium Fitness since October 2014 and have already gone above and far beyond my initial goals in half the time that I had expected. Its not only the physical goals that I value but with every session I learn something new about training, my diet or lifestyle and feel that little bit more confident about training independently (which was a clear aim set out by Trillium on day 1).
