The WES Commuter Train only runs Monday through Friday and only during commute times. The trains are very comfortable with plush cushioned seats. There is a steward on board. This WES station always feels safe and appears clean. There are lots of dining and shopping establishments in the area.

During the summer, they schedule a several tours though Wilsonville on their trolley. Think this will be a slow meander though town? Think again. The trolley runs at the speed a regular bus would go, which means the wind whips though your hair, and your 3 year old squeals with delight every time you take off from a streetlight. If you live on the far south end of Portland, and you have little people, this is a summer must do. And you know what else? They don't charge for the trolley ride, they suggest a monetary donation that goes to the local food bank. Just when I thought my afternoon outing couldn't get any better, I was informed that my donation benefits the food bank. How cool is that?! During the winter Smart does a trip or two out the PIR to see the holiday lights. You park at the Wilsonville Community Center and board the bus- then your hassle is over. Go enjoy the PIR lights with my kid without worrying about navigating traffic? Um, please. Sign me up! Smart is definitely an asset to family life in Wilsonville!

There are many bus lines that start/ finish here including numbers 20, 52, 54, 57, 76, 78 and possibly others. The WES Commuter Train starts/ finishes here. There is a bike area and a small parking area for pick up and drop off. There isn't a park and ride lot though. The Beaverton Transit Center is a fairly large area and has lots of seating areas, some covered and some shaded by trees. There is a snack bar with limited hours. Many businesses are a very short walk from here including Starbucks, Freddies, TJMaxx, Big 5 and HomeGoods. So this location always has a lot of foot traffic. TriMet does an outstanding job keeping this place safe and clean.

It was literally a non-issue ride and I was there in about 30 minutes. Another day we took the train over to Widmer Brewing Company. It was easy to find a schedule, this station and get over there. Last time we also took a cab, so the train was fun and we had a great day.

NW Navigator returned with a quote quickly and they were by far the best price around. The bus we rented had 33 passenger capacity, 2 rows with 2 bucket seats (+seatbelts) per row, a television so the kids could watch a movie, a small but functional bathroom, and a stereo system. There were cubbies up top for purses, food, etc. There were also two tables with cupholders with 4 seats surrounding them. The bus was clean, the driver was friendly, and the ride was enjoyable. We brought beverages for the kids and for the adults (premixed cocktails work really well) with plenty of snacks. This was a great way to travel, particularly with 10 kids all under the age of 7. For the toddlers, we brought the car seats on since it was easier to get them to sleep in their respective car seats. This was not a "party bus" with a long bench of seats facing each other and party lights. However, it was perfect for us with the ability to restrain and corral the small children in their own seats.

He imparted local knowledge during his daily "reports from the bridge," making him an equal partner with our tour guides. Both coach and Erik: a totally professional combination.

Making my way down Burnside rain or dry darkness (I go to my office quite early) it is this station that I await my chariot, or rather streetcar. It seems to always be neat and in good order, plus that little running sign that give out semi-accurate information has yet to be completely wrong! I tend to find myself among a host of unique and interesting humans. Some venturing to work like myself, some I think just venturing home from the night before, others not venturing much at all but rather just enjoying our little stations hospitality. There is also a doughnut shop in the parking lot adjacent to the stop, greeting us all with the aroma of fresh and I'm sure delicious pastries. We have a little covered area to gather under on particularly wet days; those are the morning that we all get to know each other a bit more (one of us doesn't brush regularly and another wears too much cologne, but they shall remain private to retain the integrity of our little station's group). What makes things extra exciting is the 6, yes the 6! It too stops at our station providing just a little extra entertainment just before our CL arrives. We had a rental car, so we mostly drove around the city but we did make a point of taking the Max to the city one day to walk around the Pearl District and look at the galleries. This station seemed really safe. The Max took us to the city for a reasonable price. It was easy to get on and off and we didn't have to hassle parking. Definitely a win-win situation.
