was recently at a memorial service at the Edmonton Art Gallery for a good friend of mine. The staff was very unprofessional very unfriendly coming did not handle the fact that we were in a public place and people were very loud coming into the facility. Very distracting as it was supposed to be about the life of a friend of mine. Music was terrible. She deserved a much better sendoff and I would not recommend this funeral home for anything. my friend that came with me got up twice to ask people to please not be so loud. That was not his job. I am happy with selecting this place to do a funeral service for my loved one. The price was reasonable the place is nice and fairly big enough, well accommodating for parking and fairly spacious. The people working here are very compassionate to helping you plan and felt no pressure to select as much. However it is best to bring someone to help you decide on certain things because it's a tough process. Always get the tour first to see if the place looks fitting to your needs then sit down with a representative to make finalizations. Luckily I had my siblings to support me through most of the decision making and the staff will explain the process very well. My tip would be to be prepared to make most of your decisions done there if you decide to use their service. Prices are the prices but again make the decision according to your situation. The basement has a simple hall gathering. Main floor has a decent chapel space and a few rooms for private family viewing. If I were to do another service for someone this place would definitely be a good selection. Do see for yourself when not busy. Funeral planning is a pretty new thing for me & my family, and our funeral concierge had listed this business as one of their top 3 choices according to our budget. Package offerings and add-ons are clearly written on their website. The location is fairly easy to find and has a decent sized parking lot. Outside is quite unassuming, but once you enter, it feels like a show home. It's quite calming with the fireplace & traditional seating. There are 2 washrooms on the upper level, a conference room, casket/urn show room, a small private room for viewing which also doubles as extra seating for the chapel room. They also have a lower level with elevator access if some people cannot use the staircase. The lower level can serve as an overflow area or as a venue for congregating after the funeral ceremony. Keep in mind that maximum capacity for that space is 80 people & that if you choose to serve food, a copy of a food permit where the food came from must be provided to them. They also have a catering contractor as well to make things easier & also provide basic services & supplies (coffee/tea, cups, napkins, etc.) as part of their rental package for this venue if you opt for it. Jenelle was assigned to our family & she's amazing. She's thorough, organized, well paced, and knows a lot about the business including specific regulations for the cemetery we used; she was also quick to respond to our questions & very helpful when we needed support when strong opposing opinions arised from folks who disagreed with our funeral decisions. Trinity was also able to find us a wonderful clergyman too. A couple of things to take note is that viewing day needs to be booked in a time slot before 5pm which can be a problem if people can't get off work early to attend, and that it's strictly for viewing; meaning that no lingering for prayers or refreshments after viewing is permitted here. With the funeral procession, they are clear about the instructions & provide stickers for your back window; but I'd recommend using a side sticker or a tabletop sign on the roof of your vehicle as there were a few near-miss collisions from those who didn't yield to the procession as the sticker isn't visible on the side. I'm glad they also had tissue boxes everywhere in their building (bring something to put those in too as there's no garbage can inside the chapel). I also appreciate that their basic package includes cancellation service of the deceased's government documents like healthcare card, drivers license, etc. And I have to mention they were also patient with payment as we were waiting for insurance funds to clear on our end. Although I hope to not have to do this sort of thing again for a long while, Trinity will definitely be on my highly recommended list. read more

Very surprised to see that they have not had a very informative review yet. I was so impressed with how they handle themselves and for all of their recommendations. Peter was so sincere and helpful in every way. He actually went through all of the options and various ways to save money as well which you just do not hear of these days. There were no glitches and the prices were great when you are grieving and not sure what direction to go in. If you are considering any cremation services I very much recommend them. They also had a decent hall and reception area to rent as well if you should want to use them. We did not in this case as we had a venue. Just a stellar experience all together during a very difficult time. read more

Elizabeth and Brandy were wonderful to us. My family and I were so grateful for their patience and honesty and advice. Elizabeth laid out all the costs and choices and regulations and endured many phone calls from us, because we didn't know what we were doing and we were in shock from the death. She told us the cost of everything and didn't once try to up sell or shame us into getting something more expensive (as was done to us by a different funeral home when my mother died). I think Trinity Funeral Home and all the staff we dealt with are just wonderful. In fact, I was so impressed that I made an appointment for the week after the funeral and arranged with Brandy to pre pay and set up a cremation for myself . This will make it much easier for my children when my time is up and I know Trinity will give them all the help they need. We wanted a very modest funeral , as the deceased had requested in his will, and that is what Trinity enabled us to do. The coffin was just what he would have liked, and it was the least expensive of the ones in the display. It was called Dawson Silver casket and was so nice that one of the funeral attendees called me the other night and asked about it and said that he wants one just like it for himself! I tell everyone who will listen, about how wonderful Trinity is. Do not hesitate to consider them when planning a burial or cremation. They will look after you very well at a horrible time in life and will help you through the things you need to do. There are no surprises and they do exactly what they say they will do. We are so grateful we were told about them by a friend and wouldn't use any other funeral home now. read more

Met with Elizabeth / Liz at Trinity after the passing of a close family member. Compassionate and kind don't even begin to describe her. Compared to many of the other businesses in Edmonton, Trinity was transparent and upfront about services and costs, and truly wanted to respect family wishes for a simple dignified service. I have phoned these guys three times to prepay for a funeral. Nobody has called me back. Each time I called, I spoke to someone. They wanted me to come in for a consultation.
