I normally call in advance and come as a walk in as I've been told there is no option to book appointments and today Aug 18th my son was seen by the barber in your last chair Jasper Robinson. We usually are seen by Lee as we are comfortable with him. I understand if it is not by appointment I am seen by whoever is available. Today was my son's third time visiting the Landry barbershop and we've had nothing but positive experiences in the past, however today was different from our last visits. Last chair Jasper Robinson seemed to be a bit on edge as we approached his chair. He disregarded my instruction on how I wanted my son's hair cut as he is nonverbal and cannot consent to how his hair should be cut. As Jasper is cutting my sons hair he begins to be forceful by gripping my son's head way to hard to maneuver it in a way that he can shape his lineup and slamming his head back onto the headrest whenever he corrects giving my son no time to brace himself, ultimately leading to Jasper nicking my sons ear with the clippers causing him to bleed. I did mention to him my son is on the spectrum and sometimes gets tickish and jerks around but he does not fight and never gets physical no matter how nervous he may be. We took a break ONLY when I insisted after Jasper nicks my son's ear to wipe his tears and the blood from his face. Jasper then proceeds to walk away towards the entrance so I assumed we were done at that moment until he returned and attempted to jerk my sons head back to continue the line up. At that point I politely declined to continue with the cut and removed my son from his chair. I then proceeded to talk with staff about the experience which they seemed understanding about my concerns. Jasper approached me as I wanted to speak with him on the matter and he simply said that he would not charge me for the service and said he did not feel comfortable giving me his name. However I was able to find who he is and will be filing a complaint against him. I absolutely have nothing against the shop. I love the genuine customer service and care given by the barbers. It is unfortunate I had this encounter with a barber. I believe action needs to take place for the safety and peace of mind for myself, my son and future clients.

Last time I was here, the owner asked me to change the 3 star review. I considered it and I was going to since I had been enjoying the work so far. Well unfortunately, the owner blocked me from booking with them through Booksy So I can't even update the review anymore. I've always paid them, I've always showed up on time, and I've always been patient and kind. If the owner thinks he can sweep tardiness under the rug and treat his customers like this over a review then fine, I can take my business other places. I suggest anybody else do the same.
