I'm unlikely to call this business again unless they have something that I really must have and want to purchase.
My first interaction with these guys was a few years ago-- the salesman who came out, an elderly chubby man with white hair, was nice at first but when he realized that they didn't sell what I was looking for, he immediately became very rude and even snatched the brochures out of my hand (while I was looking at them and we were both sitting in my living room) and left. Yup-- he just leaned over the table and grabbed the brochures right out of my hands as I was reading them and looking at the pretty pictures...
I didn't know what I'd done to offend him but apparently it was the fact that they didn't sell the type of windows that I was looking for. Even as he was leaving, he kept being rude since "they didn't sell what I was looking for and no one else did either and no one wants the type of windows I wanted to buy..."
So I bought my windows from another company instead (who did sell the basic kind of windows I was looking for) and it was a much better transaction and better customer service overall.
My next interaction with these guys happened accidentally in 2013. I was looking for security screens for my windows and these guys operate one of the companies in Tucson that makes those. When I realized it was the same company under a different business name, I told the lady about the man being rude to me last time-- she sounded shocked and said she'd talk to him about it and it might be a different guy to give me the estimate this time. When the guy showed up to give me a free estimate, it was the same guy from last time who'd been so rude!
Obviously the secretary said something to him because he was super sugary sweet and kept calling me "Ma'am" and was really polite, and really, really trying extremely hard to be really nice... So much so that it was over the top, came off as fake, and was actually really annoying. All I could remember were his true colors and how rude he'd been to me the first time I ever interacted with him and how nasty he was to me the first time around. However, I wanted to give them another chance so I listened to his sales pitch and information.
Within a few minutes into his sales pitch we had the same problem as the first time I met with him-- It turned out that they could not put screens on the type of windows that my house has (the old style ones)-- they can only put those screens on the newer sliding windows and doors. So once again they did not have a product that worked for me.
So I told him politely there's no point in moving forward if (once again) they don't have the kind of screens/ product that will work with my house and we might as well save him some time and effort. This time around instead of getting rude and nasty with me, he stayed calm and sugary fake sweet and left without giving me any problems.
Once again I called another company who could work with me and once again who had great customer service from the beginning.
So like I said before, I probably won't call these guys again unless they have something that I really really must have. As of now, I also cannot recommend them.
As they say, "First impressions are important" and all I can remember is my first impression of them and the way I was treated...
However, I would like to commend the secretary lady for talking to the rude salesman so that he'd be nice to me (their potential customer) the second time around. Thank you for that! read more
