A small, very easy to miss spot that can hold just a couple people at a time. The Sicillian pesto is delicious...it is a rich, red based sauce made with olives, ricotta, tomatoes, basil, and other goodies blended in. Unlike anything else I've had. I also tried the black cuttlefish pasta and fresh mussels with tomatoes (this was a daily special) and they were both very good and fresh [and affordable!]. Every dish I had the pasta was expertly cooked to the right level of al-dente. It's all cooked with love and care on the spot, and every bite will feel homey. The owner was very warm and friendly in a quiet reserved way, speaks good English, and was willing to indulge my questions about his small business. I highly recommend coming here over the other over-hyped pasta to-go places nearby. Do call in advanced - sometimes the hours can be different.

We got these snails that were very small but packed with a salty flavor. There were the perfect bar snack! They were my favorite. We also got the tuna which was seared and covered with pistachios. It's like a flea market and a farmers market rolled into one. I really got a sense of the town at this market, because it is literally in the middle of the town (it's set up around the town square), and it's literally where residents go to buy stuff each week. Be sure to bring cash when you visit the mercato -- I didn't come across any stalls that took credit cards.
