The teachers are exceptional, and offer helpful, one-on-one, personal assistance. My yoga instructor was Sari Redzeposki (qualified in Ki Yoga), and she was great. Her method of teaching was informative and calming, and she never made me feel embarrassed when I looked like a complete goof trying to position my body correctly. I always took the Saturday class, and it was quite busy, but not uncomfortable. Perhaps a midweek class would be quieter, if that is what you're looking for. Sinosic Perosh Martial Arts also offer training in MMA, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai Kickboxing and kids Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It's spectacular and a great way to see the harbour in the early morning and watching the sun come out. Paul and Grace our guides were excellent and friendly and gave us lots of information along the way. Loved watching the sun come out and it's a gentle and relatively easy process with coffee in hand :-) thanks guys it was a memorable experience and something we will repeat with visitors.

This allows for a paddle under the harbour bridge and towards the opera house. Starting point is very central in Lavender Bay (close to Lunar Park and Milsons Point train station). The fee includes a large number of photos and an excellent coffee, which you can sip while floating on Sydney Harbour. Excellent safety briefing and you get your own very stable kayak. Suitable for novices and fun enough for the experienced kayakers. I want to go again... despite the 5:20 am start.

Strolling through just this afternoon I was delighted by the sweet aroma from the rose gardens and the dappled light streaming through the latticed walkway. There were families strewn about with balloons, eskies and blankets - there was even a teen strumming on a guitar. Yes, it's that idyllic. And with the stylish rotunda and stunningly manicured gardens, you can understand why couples would get married here. For parents, Wahroonga Park has the added bonus of a fenced playground (though it could do with another bench or two for weary souls!), which is a mere stone's throw from a caffeine fix at Coonanbarra Cafe across the road. I think that might just make this park worth its weight in gold!

The park has a fenced off playground with a sandpit, seesaw, slide, train and other equipment, as well as a set of swings just outside. Open grassy space provides plenty of places for families to have a picnic and play games, though the trees dotted everywhere do limit larger sports. The park is right next to Wahroonga Station. On the other side of the train line is a set of shops including bakeries, newsagents and more. However, you don't have to walk that far to get something to eat, as opposite the park there is a small cafe which sells milkshakes and biscuits for the kids.

Very casual, the space is filled with banquet style seating, so you will be lunching with strangers who will soon be friends. We had a choice between lamb or barramundi. I chose the fish & my friend selected lamb. We were both happy with our choices. The rest of the meal included special recipes consisting of a cauliflower salad, a carrot salad, a cabbage salad and a pumpkin dish. All were unique and flavorful. We skipped dessert which was a delicious looking chocolate mango mixture. This is probably a one of a kind meal that will never be repeated but having a gourmet lunch in such a beautiful place is an event to be remembered.

But the Sydney Dance Company always…read moremanages to provide beautiful works, especially with Artistic Director Rafael Bonachela at the helm. I've been to 2 of his previous productions (6 breaths and Irony of Fate, under the umbrella of New Creations) and they were breath-taking. I'll be seeing his next one "the land of yes and the land of no" in a couple of weeks and I'm sure it will be beautiful too. Go buy tix now! :) The only times when the production can be a bit of a miss is the first half, which is usually choreographed by the guest choreographer. Technically the company dancers are great of course, but the choreography or the accompanying music is sometimes off. There was one which had screeching violins for most of the dance and it was awful. But don't let this deter you from going as this is unusual and mostly the dances are pleasant to watch. Definitely try to catch one of Rafael's performances and watch some of Australia's finest dancers doing what they do best.
