I stayed in 3 different hotels on my last Nashville trip, and Tru was by far the best! Rooms were smaller but very functional. Beds were very comfy and the A/C kept it nice and cool. Large walk in shower, small fridge, and plenty of places to hang clothes, bags, etc. My room was very quiet! The lobby was so colorful and inviting that I ended up taking my laptop out there and working, grabbed a snack and beer from the little stand behind the desk. Even had a pool table and patio! Very cool spot. Breakfast was just ok, typical hotel breakfast, but coffee was surprisingly decent! I will definitely stay at Tru hotels again.

We loved this hotel for a stop over night. It has easy access to the highway and incredibly, even a virtual check in process! So contactless and 2020! The rooms aren't large but they are very contemporary and functional. Our son loved the little desk on wheels that he could position so he could use his computer and watch the TV with ease. They have even found a way to still provide breakfast with as little contact as possible. I had a great breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese and bacon. Most importantly dog friendly too! Our little pooch had good night's sleep and even got some treats from the front desk.

Valued priced hotel with top notch service. Clean rooms, cozy beds and free parking. Great place to stay if all you need is a safe place to stay for a night in Nashville. Bit of a away from downtown but still not bad.

Tru by Hilton hasn't forgot a thing. From the sleek lobby with everything at arms reach to the entertainment areas in the lobby to keep the kids busy. They have locked charging stations for your phone, mini convenient store for your cravings and reading material to get your day started. There are nice comfortable couches strategically placed throughout the lobby for privacy or large gatherings. The furnishings are colorful with a fresh look and modern decor. The rooms are spacious and very clean! To top it all off, the view is lovely as well!

Expect a small room but I think it's ok. Just a place to sleep

Clean, awesome amenities and it's connected to the Home2Suites so we could eat breakfast at either place.

Well kept, spacious, very comfy. Front desk staff has always been nice and helpful. Rooms are new too, clean and spacious. Continental breakfast is the best I have had. I have always enjoyed staying here. This last time, I had a few small things I noticed that erked me: a stain and a smell from one hand towel, and two small bugs. Of course, it was raining outside so I kinda understand the bug thing. Highly recommend this place to stay, and anytime I am passing through the area and need a place to stay, this is the place I will always check first.

Do you enjoy a 1" open gap at the bottom of every door that anyone could look under? Hear everything in hallway or vice versa, someone hear everything going on in your room? Room that smells musty and faintly of cigarettes? Standing in undraining water as you shower? Do you like routine maintenance repairs to look like a 5 year old preformed them? Filthy grime on the edges of all counter surfaces? Do you desire to feel like you'll be featured on the next episode of Forensic Files? Then this is the hotel for you! It has all of the above and more! Holiday Inn used to mean something: clean, comfortable, and safe rooms. When you bring that up to the front desk they will tell you it's just like everything else these days, down the drain. Location was fantastic. The only positive. Save yourself some money and just stay in the cheapest place in town, it'll be just as clean as this place. Probably the last time I will bother staying with an IHG brand hotel, even though we are rewards members.

Onsite restaurant, indoor pool and hot tub, gym, etc. I smelled too much chlorine inside the pool area so decided not to go in but it was nice to enjoy sitting out by the pool. I think this hotel has less than stellar ratings for one reason... housekeeping, pool maintenance... because the service is excellent, the offered amenities is excellent now only if Hilton got a good housekeeping manager / pool manager to keep up the cleanliness... it would have been a 5plus accommodation for me... to be fair housekeeping is quite challenging because ppl fail to clean behind themselves (which is so unfortunate) and expect far too much from housekeeping employees, imho The items I noticed could be a quick fix. Give your housekeepers a check list to remember to wipe the doors inside the bathroom and the light fixtures. New guests shouldn't have to pay for the mess that previous guests leave behind. Keep up with pool maintenance and find a way to combat that chlorine smell...

Within 15 minutes of checking in here, I wanted to give 0 stars but everything that occurred was…read morenot Hilton's fault. I had reserved a King size Bed room and upon entering the lobby, you would think you were at a circus. It was the most chaotic lobby I ever experienced and that is saying a lot considering I have stayed at some super busy hotels throughout my life. There were children, adolescents, and parents who were extremely loud and filled every seat and standing area in the entire lobby. This lobby is pretty big compared to others. I stood on line to check in for maybe 10 minutes. The front seat person was helping out these kids that kept requesting items. When I was greeted, I was informed that room was no longer available and I was "upgraded" to a better room. I didn't understand since I had reserved the room and it was available, besides it was like 10pm. These are the times I get pissed at Hilton for not sending me the digital key in advance because then I could have avoided all this bs. We get to the room and yes, it was nice. I did not notice until after we checked out that all the snacks and drinks were expired though. Not cool. I wound up getting a salad from the market at the end of the night that was okay. So we are in the room for maybe 10 minutes and the f'king fire alarm goes off. OMFG! It kept ringing and LOUD obviously. Again, not the hotel's fault but I guarantee it involved the unsupervised or maybe supervised kids taking over the hotel. It wound up being a false alarm and the poor firefighters were there for a long time. We went downstairs to hopefully get a drink after at the bar in the lobby. I stopped by the front desk to request a later checkout first. There was a different woman than before and she told me no because they were at full capacity. She was nice but I was still upset and obviously told her about the fire alarm, which she was already aware of. The bartender was great! She stayed open a little longer for some of the guests, which was highly appreciated given the evening we had. I got to get ready for bed and discover this gross stain on the sheets. This just keeps getting better! I wake up to my insulin pump expiring and rushing to get to breakfast (I had paid in advance for it when making the reservation). I go to the front desk because I was not sure if I needed a voucher and then the same woman from the previous night tells me she cannot find it! I show it to her on my phone but she still could not locate it. She let me go anyway thankfully. There were cooked to order omelettes and pancakes and such, along with common breakfast items on a table to choose from. I think I might have asked again for a later check out and was denied. At this point, I'm like-let me get out of this place already. I rushed a shower, set up my diabetic supplies to attach and we made it out on time. I unfortunately had to do the rest of my set up in the car but at least I was not interrupted. This experience has made me very hesitant to book with another Garden Inn throughout the Hilton brand.

Great place to stop and stay if you are making a long drive…read more After driving from Chicago towards the Atlanta area, we needed a place for our family to stay for the night that wouldn't be part of the crazy Nashville scene. This hotel is located just south of the city, but still has a ton of restaurants around to get food. The hotel is well lit and close to the highway, but not too close. Parking is complimentary as is breakfast, which is always good for kids or those not wanting to spending extra on a meal. The staff was so kind from the reservation making to greeting us when we arrived to checking us in and to checking us out. The room with 2 queen beds was a nice size. It had a full size refrigerator ,cooking too, dishes, sink, and a table for 4. It's always nice to not have to sit at a desk or on a bed to eat. The bathroom was a nice size with a shower/bath. The beds were so comfortable!! Seriously, like so comfortable that I didn't want to wake up and could ah e laid around all day. The breakfast was just ok, but the coffee was great! For breakfast, they had the standard pastries, yogurt, milk/juice, oatmeal. As far as hot food, they had scrambled eggs and bacon, as well as individually wrapped sandwiches and veggies quiches. Would I stay here again- definitely!!

Bring earplugs. I had a hard time sleeping well during my stay here…read more Some positives about this hotel: * Lending locker--They apparently have a place where you can borrow fun things like board games, blenders, toasters and even DVDs during your stay. This must be something they do in the South because I've never seen a hotel do this other than one other time in Alabama. A great idea. Each room has a DVD player, so the ability to borrow a DVD from the lobby is a sweet added perk. * Showers are hot and water pressure is good. * Gym/fitness room on the first floor. What I didn't like: * Apparently if you check in late at night, there is no one at the front desk and you have to call a special number to get a person to come to check you in. While I did not experience this myself, I don't like the idea of not being able to call the front desk if I have any questions or need assistance. * Housekeeping is only done weekly, like once every 7 days. While I understand we don't need housekeeping every day, I think this is too seldom and just screams "cheap." If you want new towels, you have to take them to the front desk and get new ones. Maybe once every 2-3 days would be okay, but 7?? * No personal size amenities (like shampoo, conditioner, bath gel). Definitely more environmental which is cool, but it defeats the purpose if you check into the room and one of the bottles (bath gel) is already empty and housekeeping doesn't come for another several days. At least if a hotel doesn't do personal size amenities (which would probably be hard to replenish if there isn't daily housekeeping anyways), they need to make sure all the bottles are filled for new guests. * A/C unit is LOUD when it comes on. When you turn everything off, the room gets really stuffy. Difficult to sleep when the A/C will turn on loudly every few minutes to circulate the air. Perhaps this was only in our room, but here's where earplugs would have come in handy. * Nice full-size fridge and microwave in the room. Unfortunately the fridge makes noises that make it hard to sleep through (since the bed is in the same room as the kitchenette area). * Bed is squeaky and small. The sheets made me wary too because it's a flat sheet, a down comforter (with no duvet) and a thicker top layer. I highly doubt housekeeping washes the down comforter and top layer between guests because that would just be too expensive. Kinda gross to think of someone else's skin touching the down comforter or even the top layer. Ugh. At least put the down comforter in a duvet cover or make the top layer a sheet that can be easily washed. * Bad sound barriers. Constantly hearing cars outside the window, people moving in and out of their rooms in the hallway, guests walking in the room right above our room (in addition to the A/C and fridge noises). Then to add more to the fire, they started doing some kind of construction in the room nearby us (not sure if it was next door or above us). But it sounded like a constant hammering from around 10:30-12pm. Then it sounded like vacuuming, but my husband said it sounded more like a "sandblasting machine." Not impressed. With so many great hotel chains out there, I wouldn't choose this one if I wanted a good night's sleep.
