I have come into Vapor Max a few times, I even left a five star review last time I was there…read more However today my wife and I went in and asked for help with internal battery vapes since we had previously had no luck for the large battery kind. He gave us three options and really sold us on their "flagship" model; we paid about $150 for one vape all told and left pretty happy. When we arrived home we found that the box for the vape was opened and pieces were missing but more than that this new vape was a large battery kind, what we had specifically asked not to get again. We are fairly new to vaping so we go to a place like Vapor Max because we need the expertise of the guys working there. No problem, ran back to the store and asked if they offered refunds, was emphatically told no. So I asked about exchanges and the guy got really annoyed and told me they closed soon and that he wasn't going to help me because he didn't like that my attitude which I did not give him any. I told him it was a simple exchange and even said please and this guy got super upset and told me he had had a really long day and he was tired and not in the mood to do an exchange. I made an offhand comment that I too was tired, on my two deployments overseas, and that if I wasn't complaining (which I still wasn't) he shouldnt be either. Apparently something about the Iraq war comment immediately through him into a rage; he threatened to hurt me and then threatened to get his friends there to hurt me as well and then he actually came across the counter and after me out of the store. The cops got called and were there very fast, they asked him if he did indeed threaten to hurt me and if he had physically lunged across the counter to get me and he said yes. The police had me file an assault report and have forwarded me to the magistrates office to further press charges. I have never seen anything like this, I can't even fathom how we ended up at this stage but I can tell you I'm never going back. I plan to update this review after my trip to court over this tomorrow.

If I could put less than 1 star I could. I bought an item at this retailer and it did not work out…read moreof the box. Go back to this retailer and they say 'oh because it's used we will not take it back or exchange it.' The thing is if I hadn't have tried the item I wouldn't have known it didn't work. They refused to do anything. I reached out to the manufacturer and they just keep saying the retailer should stand behind the product and then come to them on the back end. It even states it in the warranty policy on the manufacturer's website that all warranty claims go through the retailer. Worst customer service I have ever recieved. On both ends. I work in customer service and have for a long time. This is NOT how you treat customers. It didn't work out of the box. Stand behind the product and learn how to handle customers better. Will never go back.

It wasn't dropped, dipped in water, wasn't even barely used those two days so idk how that's on me. But the day after I leave a bad review someone puts up a 5 star review and if you read it it looks like one of the employees downloaded yelp just to hype themselves up after screwing me. Don't let their first hand niceness throw you off. They are a small town shop that can't even afford good products that last and when you bring it back you are the problem.
