The house sauce was delicious, flavorful without being overwhelming, and the mild level was perfect for me since I can't usually handle very spicy food. A friend recommended this place because the crawfish is fresh, but some meat was sticking to the shell and fairly hard to peel. Between the two, I personally preferred the shrimp since it's easier to peel, but both were extremely tasty. You could tell this is family owned restaurant because you can tell the owners and their friends were being really loud when we were the only table remaining that night. Our server seemed to be more occupied with them What we ordered: Garlic noodles (3/5): we felt like the portion for this was pretty small and wasn't enough for 2 people. There wasn't any unique about the noodles and felt it was a bit bland and didn't taste the garlic that much. What really helps is adding the sauce from the boil onto the noodles as it gives it more flavor. Seafood combo (4/5): we ordered 2lbs of clams and 1lb of crawfish which came with corn and sausages. The sauce we got was Cajun garlic house which we thought was delicious but very oily. We prefer more of a thicker sauce but the flavor was on point! Crawfish is a hit it miss here, sometimes it seems like they mix frozen and fresh. I really like the sauce, although the day I went to eat the sauce was thinner than when I've had it to go in the past. But the other times I've gotten it to go it was so bomb. They ran out of oysters, booo but it's ok I opted for the steamed clams in lemongrass and it came with a ginger dipping sauce which was really good. It's a mom and pop shop that clearly has its fans. We got the combo #3 which is 2 pounds of crawfish, 1 pound of shrimp, two corns, and two sausages. We got the spicy level. The spice was quite spicy, like enough to numb your lips, and have you drink water here and there. I think it's typical Vietnamese food spicy. My husband and I were craving seafood. We went to another restaurant and were told there was no guarantee of seating with a long waitlist. We were about to give up and return home hungry. Then I looked on Yelp for a nearby crawfish restaurant that was still open. Fortunately, I discovered Truc Anh restaurant. I had known Truc since she was still selling crawfish from her home. I used to live behind this restaurant but recently relocated. Anyway, we walked in, got a seat right away, and she took our order so quickly. We were super hungry. Our order arrived in about 15-20 minutes, indicating that it was freshly prepared. My husband was surprised by the freshness of the crawfish and clams. The seasoning was excellent; we only wished we had some bread to dip in and savor the flavor. Truc was extremely pleasant and accommodating to all of our requests. They also had a great selection of Vietnamese music. We were very satisfied and happy when we left the restaurant. We usually order to go, but I think dining in is so much more enjoyable.
